• Cao Jinxing adopted the identity Xia Yiming and rode to Hangzhou to search for Fang La’s Treasure, taking Zhuo Yue’s map and locating its first clue near Yan Village.
• Cao Jinxing claimed the Bai Ze carving, then joined forces with Lu Kunlun and the Beggar Gang to obtain the Qilin and Pixiu carvings and reach Bangyuan Cave.
• Cao Jinxing and Lu Kunlun opened Fang La’s vault, where Cao Jinxing took weapons and studied Heaven and Earth Great Shift while the other factions fought their way inside.

Cao Jinxing exposed the Chess and Sword Music House’s crimes, defeated its leaders and the Bright Sect fighters, and gained fame for his deeds in Hangzhou. He returned to the capital with new techniques and rewards, while the story turned toward the northern frontier and the coming upheaval.

• Cao Jinxing exposed Shangguan Sheng’s deception and killed him with Qin Xuanji, then escaped the cave before Li Yuzhou arrived.
• Cao Jinxing and Qin Xuanji attended the Famous Qin Gathering, solved its riddles, and uncovered fragments of the Heaven-Covering Formation while Qin Xuanji defeated Shan Qingcheng in the zither contest.
• Li Yuzhou’s allies attacked Cao Jinxing and Qin Xuanji, but Cao Jinxing and his companions captured Li Yuzhou, Murong Yan, and the other conspirators after Wu Xuan joined the fight.

• Cao Jinxing joined Shen Xiang’s convoy carrying ten cannons north, defeated Secretary Cong and his allies, and helped deliver the cannons to Chen Gui in Xuanfu.
• Cao Jinxing and Shen Xiang exposed Hou Rong and Qiu Luan’s collusion with the Mongols, captured Qiu Luan, and uncovered the Thirteen Wings’ plan to assassinate Chen Gui.
• Cao Jinxing and his allies defeated Toghto’s attack on Chen Gui’s residence, captured Toghto, and used the captured armor to lure Huangtaiji’s vanguard into Dushikou Pass.

Cao Jinxing uncovered Luo Lie’s experiments and joined Lu Yi’s force against Xu Qingwei, whose fusion with the Millennium Tai Sui threatened Jade Embroidery Valley. After defeating Xu Qingwei and rushing Huang Fangling to treatment, Cao Jinxing was drawn into a Mount Hua succession crisis over the Pure Yang Stone Inscriptions, ending in a confrontation with the impostor Xu Danqing.

• Cao Jinxing investigated Wild Ghost Village with Lu Yi, killed members of Luo Lie’s Jia group, and discovered that Luo Lie had obtained Xu Qingwei’s legacy and captured the Red Anaconda.
• Cao Jinxing and Lu Yi led government troops and allies into Jade Embroidery Valley, where Luo Lie’s experiments and Xu Qingwei’s control of the Millennium Tai Sui turned the battle into a disaster.
