When Vol'jin woke, he was not sure whether he was still alive. His vision was hazy, as though he had slept for a century.
For a short while, he did not know what had happened. It was not until he took a deep breath and a sharp pain shot through his throat that he remembered the nightmare he had endured.
"Am I... still alive?" he said, though his voice came out indistinct. Yet that made him realize he could still feel.
After confirming that he was alive, Vol'jin inevitably began to recall what had happened to him.
The sun had risen in the west. Garrosh had actually ordered him to come to Pandaria and serve the Horde: scouts had discovered a Yaungol cave that seemed to contain some ancient magic and required a thorough investigation.
He had nothing but scorn for the Great Chief. Still, as a member of the Horde, obeying orders was his duty. Besides, he wanted to see what Garrosh had been doing in Pandaria. In what manner would the Great Chief fail this time?
So he came here, to Pandaria. He was no stranger to the Pandaren. Ancient Troll records contained accounts of their race. Moreover, a Pandaren named Chen Stormstout had once helped the Horde. Therefore, Vol'jin did not support Grommash's actions in starting a war in Pandaria.
This land has abundant resources: timber, stone, iron ore, fuel, and people. It will provide the Horde with new room to survive.
Vol'jin remembered how delighted Grommash had been after hearing of Pandaria. Yet he had completely ignored one problem: this continent already had masters. What he intended to do was, in essence, plunder and invasion. There was no honor in it.
The Troll truly wanted to spit on the ground, if only he could move.
Honor?
