The image froze at that moment, then vanished. The sand in the hourglass stopped falling.

"Kargath," Tyrande said. "Can you explain that weapon?"

At that moment, Nathanos heard Baine sigh. He turned toward the sound and saw the defender's shoulders slump slightly. The Druid village Kargath had razed to the ground had not contained only Night Elves, but many Tauren as well. Nathanos doubted Baine even realized how obvious the sorrow on his face was.

"That was Goblin technology. Garrosh had quite a few engineering technicians under his command, and they were responsible for making weapons of mass destruction for him. I only learned about it after seeing that bomb. And it was merely a prototype."

Tyrande still looked astonished as she picked up where Kargath left off. "You mean the bomb you used was only a prototype?"

Kargath nodded.

Murmurs rose through the hall for who knew how many times. Even those who had not personally witnessed the tragedy in the Stonetalon Mountains could judge the explosive's power from the enormous crater it left behind. Yet Kargath claimed it had merely been a prototype.

This revealed that Garrosh had long since begun secretly researching destructive weapons.

"What happened afterward?"

"I carried out his orders. I led my army to Stoneclaw Mountain and fought the local Alliance garrison there. In the end, I won a decisive victory. But after I used that bomb, he came. He appeared before me through a portal, accompanied by Kor'kron soldiers." Kargath's face darkened as he tried to explain further, but Tyrande raised a hand to stop him.

The priestess nodded. "Chromie, let us see for ourselves what happened then."

Chromie activated the Time Aspect once more. Kargath stood atop a mountain peak, facing a village in the distance. Behind him knelt an elderly Tauren.
