• Mi Xiaolin tried to recruit Chu Ge and Qiu Wuji, but Chu Ge rejected her offer, then thwarted her staged attempt to provoke him at Xie Wenyuan’s reception.
• Zhong Yi brought Du Lianfeng and Qi Chengtai to safety, and Qiu Wuji healed them enough to expose Mi Xiaolin’s organization and its overseas connections.

• Qiu Wuji and Chu Ge exposed Venerable Green Snake as a front for City Lord Xie, then confronted Xie Jiuxiao in Skyreach City.
• Xie Jiuxiao admitted that he had used puppetry and the Heaven-Deceiving Art to pursue control of the Heavenly Dao, then dispersed his cultivation and died.
• Chu Ge revived Xie Jiuxiao and required him to free his puppets, while Xie Jiuxiao accepted a chance to live and Skyreach City began honoring the Heavenly Dao.
• Yan Qianlie asked Chu Ge to revive his former master so he could learn why she had hesitated before their final battle.
• Chu Ge and Qiu Wuji removed the line that had first affected Qiu Wuji’s feelings, confirmed their love had grown beyond it, and began sharing a bed.

Chu Ge and Qiu Wuji helped Yan Qianlie secure the means to revive Qingyan, while Chu Ge grew more powerful and explored his connection to the world within his book. Back in the Mortal World, they tested whether printed books could bridge the worlds, and Chu Ge confronted his publisher over unauthorized changes.

• Chu Ge and Qiu Wuji entered the book, helped Yan Qianlie obtain the Earthfire Lotus Platform from Hongfa Temple, and joined him in fighting a Heavenly Realm Buddha who had trapped them.
