Arc 12The Corona Island Mission

Kallen uncovered Bernard’s betrayal, gained the Eyes of the Dark Moon, and returned to the mainland as the Gate of Reincarnation selection approached. After joining a mission to Corona Island, he helped defeat the Fundamentalist Sea God Church believers and rescue the captives, while Kevin found a strange purple egg.

  • Kallen awakened Bernard and learned that the Silent Ones had promised him Light’s guidance in exchange for betraying Phileas and the Light Remnants.
  • Kallen repeatedly burned and revived Bernard until Bernard died for good, then claimed the Eyes of the Dark Moon and left Snake Island with Taufman.
  • Kallen and Ophelia stopped Peide from stealing Leima’s body and soul, and Kallen defeated the possessing Kangmo with help from Dis.
  • Kallen returned to York City, learned that the Gate of Reincarnation trials might involve sacrifices, and secured a place in the selection through Woforen.
  • Kallen went back to Allen Manor, where he learned the Gengdi Squad had disappeared near Corona Island and assembled a team to investigate.
  • Kallen infiltrated the Sea God Church’s hideout, freed Mayor Wood, and fought Eno while the Whip of Order teams engaged the believers.
  • Kallen and Golden Retriever killed Eno, then Kallen destroyed the believers’ eggs as the captain’s crew rescued Wood’s family and destroyed a ship carrying more eggs.
  • Kevin emerged from the water with a purple egg that promised him wisdom, urinated on it, and froze when he tried to pick it up again.
Chapters 276–300 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 276Surprise!

Kallen reflected on the people who had once built Dark Moon Island, replaced Bernard’s taunting inscription with a message of renewed departure, and prepared to awaken Bernard’s preserved body. When the Awakening Art failed, Kallen concluded that Bernard was still alive.

  • Kallen scraped Bernard’s words off the stele and engraved, “Hey, we're setting sail again!”
  • Kallen considered whether he could follow the example of Phileas and his grandfather Dis, then resolved to awaken Bernard and make him experience the humiliation himself.
  • Mr. Eisen covered Bernard’s body with suppression formations inside Ms. Jennifer’s coffin, while Richard fetched food and helped prepare.
  • Kallen used Order-Awakening on Bernard, but the spell drew no spiritual power and appeared to fail.
  • Kallen laughed with excitement and declared that Bernard was still alive.

Ch. 277Awakening!

Kallen deduced that Bernard had survived for a century in suspended animation with the help of a white symbiotic insect, then used his blood to wake the insect and gave it to Richard. After Richard left, Kallen confronted Bernard, who opened his eyes.

  • Kallen and Mr. Eisen realized Bernard was alive and suspected he had deliberately entered prolonged dormancy to remain preserved in the Palace of Remembrance.
  • Kallen deduced that Bernard had swallowed an insect originally bred to induce dormancy, and that it might be awakened by blood.
  • Kallen sent Mr. Eisen and Richard outside, then cut his palm and fed his blood to Bernard.
  • A white insect crawled from Bernard's mouth, healed Kallen's wound with silk, and appeared to seek a new host.
  • Kallen gave the insect to Richard and told him to have Mr. Eisen examine it before swallowing it.
  • After Richard left, Kallen knocked on Bernard's coffin and asked whether he would keep pretending to sleep, and Bernard opened his eyes.

Ch. 278Judgment!

Kallen confronted Bernard over his massacre of Phileas and the Light Remnants, using the truth about Puer and the island to expose Bernard’s guilt. After recognizing the danger posed by forces that might destroy those who challenge gods, Kallen invoked Light’s authority to judge Bernard, leaving him stunned.

  • Kallen restrained Bernard with the formations and questioned him, while Bernard probed Kallen through conversation about Dark Moon Island, Paul, and Kallen’s relationship with Puer.
  • Kallen revealed that Puer was alive and living with him, and Bernard reacted with fear when he realized she might learn about his fabricated romance and the fate of Jennifer.
  • Bernard defended killing Phileas and the Light Remnants as necessary to protect Dark Moon Island, but Kallen said they had been kind and would have left peacefully.
  • Kallen burned Bernard’s soul when he interrupted, then explained that Phileas had been his comrade and that learning of the massacre had made him fear a similar fate.
  • Kallen considered whether a god had guided Bernard to kill Phileas and the others, then prepared to pass judgment on Bernard in the name of Order.
  • After Bernard objected that Order’s procedures did not permit the judgment, Kallen dismissed his Inquisitor’s robes and manifested Light Clerical Robes, declaring he would judge Bernard in the name of Light.

Ch. 279The torment of Light and Order

Kallen tortured Bernard with a Light flame until Bernard revealed that Light had ordered him to kill Phileas and the others in exchange for a place among Light’s elders when the gods descended. After Bernard’s soul dissipated, Kallen used Order-Awakening to revive him and began the torture again.

  • Bernard realized Kallen had brought him to a trial whose outcome was already decided, and he offered his treasures and knowledge in exchange for his life.
  • Kallen set a Light flame burning on Bernard’s chest and taunted him about Miss Jennifer and Puer while refusing to promise mercy.
  • Bernard confessed that Light had guided him to kill Phileas and the others, promising that Dark Moon would merge into Light when the gods descended and that Bernard would become an elder.
  • Bernard died as the flame consumed his soul, and Kallen used Order-Awakening to revive him despite the immense power required.
  • Kallen lit the Stone Lamp with black Order Fire, poured the flames onto Bernard’s chest, and told him they would continue.

Ch. 280I want it all!

Kallen tortured Bernard until he confessed that the Silent Ones had recruited him to kill Phileas and promised him divine favor, then discovered that Bernard’s eyes held a second life. After Awakening Bernard again, Kallen claimed the Eyes of the Dark Moon and declared he wanted everything Bernard had.

  • Kallen burned Bernard with the flames of Order and ignored his pleas until Bernard begged to die.
  • Bernard confessed that the Silent Ones, an ancient organization with powerful clerics of Light and Eternity, had persuaded him to betray Phileas by promising him the God of Light’s guidance and a place in a new Church of Light.
  • Bernard revealed that the Silent Ones had promised to guide him at an altar on Heiji Island in 1735, and Kallen realized the meeting was only three years away.
  • Kallen burned Bernard until his remaining Spiritual Power was exhausted, then left the island before returning two hours later to attempt Awakening on the corpse.
  • Kallen’s Awakening succeeded when Spiritual Power emerged from Bernard’s eyes, revealing that they contained a soul and another life; Kallen recognized them as the Eyes of the Dark Moon and claimed them, along with Miss Paul.

Ch. 281Fusion, the Eyes of the Dark Moon!

Kallen cremated Bernard’s remains, scattered his ashes at sea, and fused the Eyes of the Dark Moon with his Silver Mask and ring, gaining greatly expanded Spiritual Power and a stronger Dark Moon Blade. After returning to Dark Moon Island, he encountered Taufman, who mistook his transformed appearance and radiant eyes for the missing Ancestor.

  • Kallen burned Bernard’s corpse to ash, scattered it across the sea, and left shells and cigarettes at Jennifer’s sarcophagus and the stone stele.
  • Kallen tried several ways to activate the Eyes of the Dark Moon before the crescents attached themselves to his Silver Ring and reacted with the Silver Mask.
  • The Eyes of the Dark Moon fused with Kallen, storing an additional reserve of Spiritual Power and strengthening his Dark Moon Blade, while the Silver Mask protected him from a soul-splitting attack.
  • Kallen discovered that the ring could reproduce masks, including Bernard’s human-skin mask, then returned through the Teleportation Magic Formation to the master bedroom.
  • Taufman ordered his guards to search for the Ancestor’s remains and secretly remove the imprisoned Light Remnants from the island.
  • Taufman opened the master bedroom door and mistook Kallen, whose eyes shone with Dark Moon radiance, for the Ancestor.

Ch. 282A defiant descendant

Kallen wore Bernard’s mask and persuaded Taufman that he was the revived ancestor, but Taufman saw through the disguise and demanded that he pay respects to Phileas’s remains. Afterward, Kallen returned to the hotel, where the captain shared a family saying and asked about Bernard’s.

  • Kallen wore Bernard’s mask and convinced Taufman that Bernard had awakened, then left the Villa in a carriage.
  • Kallen escaped into town, but Taufman followed him and revealed he knew the man was Kallen; he asked Kallen to accompany him to apologize to Phileas’s remains.
  • Taufman explained that he would help his brother secure the clan’s future for three years before setting out in White Clerical Robes, and Kallen agreed to go with him.
  • At Snake Island, Taufman burned the cigarette butts Kallen had left behind, and Kallen paid respects at the Corpse Pit and Jennifer’s coffin.
  • Kallen returned to the hotel, where Richard said the captain had covered for his absence; the captain then shared a saying from Phileas’s family, and Kallen answered with one attributed to Bernard.

Ch. 283Curse

Kallen met with Ophelia and Dark Moon Island’s elders as plans took shape for Ophelia to train in the Order God Church and form her own squad. The chapter ended with Taufman preparing to leave the island as a Light Remnant, while Raniedal dreamed of Kevin cursing him in a coffin.

  • Neo told Kallen that Ophelia would establish a Whip of Order Squad, and that Kallen and other Hound Dogs Squad members were expected to transfer to it.
  • Kallen attended dinner with Ophelia, Clan Leader Vina, Elder Qimal, and Elder Luomiu, while the elders discussed his future and decided to continue supporting him.
  • Ophelia told Kallen she was going to Vien and asked him to spend time with her before she left; they walked together and discussed Neo and Elisa.
  • Clan Leader Vina and Taufman discussed Ophelia’s future as clan leader and Taufman’s decision to leave the island after his baptism and become a Light Remnant.
  • Kevin dreamed that someone in a coffin cursed Raniedal, who slapped his own face with a dog paw; Puer assumed a mosquito had bitten him.

Ch. 284Found Out!

Kallen and Ophelia spent the evening exploring Dark Moon Island, where Ophelia confessed her feelings and revealed that she had questioned the truth of Ancestor Bernard’s love stories. On their way back, Kallen recognized that the Reincarnation Church man had switched Leima’s soul and confronted him to protect her.

  • Ophelia took Kallen to a local restaurant, where they ate and learned that the owner’s daughter, Leima, was leaving the island with a man from the Reincarnation Church.
  • In the woods, Ophelia told Kallen that she liked him, had reconsidered the stories of Ancestor Bernard and Miss Paul, and suspected their happy endings had been imagined.
  • Kallen admitted he had feelings for Ophelia, while she said she would join the Order God Church in another district and keep her loyalty to Dark Moon.
  • On the walk back, Kallen and Ophelia encountered the Reincarnation Church man with Leima and heard him make a crude joke.
  • Kallen recognized that the man had switched Leima’s soul, stopped him, and stepped in front of Ophelia, saying they had a reason to intervene because Leima’s father’s cooking was delicious.

Ch. 285He Had Seen Order

Kallen confronted Peide Simorson for possessing a waitress and destroying her soul, then fought him after Peide refused arrest. As Peide summoned a powerful contracted soul, Kallen prepared to unleash his hidden power and declared that Peide had already seen Order.

  • Kallen accused Peide of violating the Order Regulations and tried to arrest him, but Peide admitted the waitress's soul was gone and refused to return her body.
  • Peide attacked Kallen with a silver spear, and Kallen defended himself with Sea God Armor, Spears of Discipline, and Order Barriers before drawing Ophelia's Purple Greatsword.
  • Kallen and Peide clashed repeatedly, with Kallen gradually increasing the Dark Moon Blade's power until Peide was forced onto the defensive.
  • Peide strengthened himself with his bloodstained spear, but Kallen's relentless attacks continued to overwhelm him and drive him back.
  • Kallen's sustained use of Primordial Ancestor Allen's power manifested Puer behind him, and Peide responded by summoning a terrifying soul through his Contract Pearl.
  • As Peide merged with the contracted soul and challenged Kallen to witness the true Reincarnation Church, Kallen prepared to fight and told him he had already seen Order.

Ch. 286Steal My Body?

Kallen defeated Peide by breaking the Soul Contract that empowered him, then survived the cursed snake’s venom and prepared to finish him. Peide’s departed uncle entered Kallen’s body to seize it, but Kallen remained confident he could resist.

  • Kallen used the Dark Moon Blade and overwhelming strength to drive Peide onto the defensive.
  • Peide struck Kallen with a cursed snake and a shield-assisted counterattack, while Kallen used the Chains of Order to break Peide’s Soul Contract and force the departed soul from his body.
  • Kallen tore the snake from his neck and endured its curse, while Peide explained that his weakness had made the Soul Contract unstable.
  • Kallen stood despite the poison and approached Peide, believing he had won.
  • Peide’s departed uncle left the Contract Pearl’s protection and entered Kallen’s body, attempting to take control.
  • Kallen recognized the possession attempt and said that even his dog had failed to steal his body.

Ch. 287Grandpa!

Kallen confronted Kangmo Simorson inside his body after refusing to bargain over Leima’s death, and used his Light, Dark Moon, and Order powers to defeat him. As Kangmo’s soul began to scatter, Dis appeared and pulled the Gate of Reincarnation imprint from it, leaving Kallen to recognize his grandfather.

  • Kallen refused Kangmo Simorson’s offers of a pledge contract and assistance, insisting that he would follow the Order Regulations and avenge Leima.
  • Kangmo grew angry when Kallen taunted him about Talina, then advanced up the steps in Kallen’s consciousness space while enduring freezing and scorching forces.
  • The Eyes of the Dark Moon appeared beside the steps, followed by a figure radiating the power of Light, revealing Kallen’s hidden faith and Light Remnant identity to Kangmo.
  • Kangmo tried to flee Kallen’s body, but Kallen’s Chains of Order shattered the phantom Gate of Reincarnation and scattered Kangmo’s soul.
  • Dis appeared behind Kallen, gathered the scattered points of light, drew out the Gate of Reincarnation imprint, and tossed it to Kallen as Kallen murmured, “Grandpa.”

Ch. 288Someone up above!

After the churches’ negotiations, Kallen nearly killed Peide for violating Order Regulations, but Romir intervened, punished her relative, and compensated Kallen and the girl he had harmed. Romir praised Kallen, and Cardinal Kreid later ensured his name would be submitted for the Gate of Reincarnation trial next month.

  • Romir asked Kreid to keep the thirty-six surrendered Reincarnation believers from Bastin Island isolated, and Kreid agreed while declining to mediate Reincarnation’s dispute with the Moon Goddess Church.
  • Kangmo’s soul vanished, alerting Romir, who arrived just as Kallen tried to kill Peide and stopped his sword with a barrier.
  • Kallen explained that Peide had implanted another consciousness in a girl; Romir restored the girl’s soul, knocked Peide unconscious, cut off his ears, and gave Kallen a Pendant as compensation.
  • Romir thanked Kallen and invited him to visit her in Reincarnation Valley, while Kallen and Ophelia decided to return the sleeping girl and leave Peide alive.
  • Back at the dinner, Romir told Kreid about Kallen’s actions, and Kreid instructed the Order bishops to submit lists for next month’s Gate of Reincarnation trial.
  • After learning Kallen belonged to Woforen’s York City District, Kreid praised him, and Woforen realized the cardinal wanted Kallen added to the list.

Ch. 289Back again

After helping resolve the incident on Dark Moon Island, Kallen said goodbye to Ophelia and learned that the Order God Church would soon hold a selection for trial slots at the Gate of Reincarnation. He and the others returned to York City, while Ophelia stayed behind and watched them leave.

  • Ophelia reflected on Dark Moon Island's weakness and its need to grow strong enough to protect its people, then shared a late-night meal with Kallen and promised to visit him in York City.
  • The captain told Kallen that the Church would select five candidates from each district for the Gate of Reincarnation trials and warned him to prepare for a soul-targeting illusion test.
  • Kallen told the captain about the previous night's events, and the two joked about sparring once they returned.
  • Richard revealed that he had exchanged gifts and contact information with Beliya, a Reincarnation Church cleric he believed came from a prominent family.
  • Kallen saw Ophelia watching from a distance before entering the portal with the others, and the group returned to York City.

Ch. 290Pollution!

Kallen returned from Dark Moon Island and told Puer and Kevin what had happened there, including Jennifer’s fate. As they discussed Kallen’s upcoming Reincarnation Church selection test, they uncovered signs that the Church had been corrupted by the world beyond the Gate of Reincarnation.

  • Kallen returned to the Pavarro Funeral Society, where Xili welcomed him and served him a meal.
  • Kallen told Puer and Kevin that Jennifer had sailed away with Phileas, and Puer mourned her and cursed Bernard.
  • Puer explained that she and Kevin had finished their puppets but could only control them within ten meters because their consciousnesses could not leave their bodies.
  • Kallen asked Puer and Kevin about the Gate of Reincarnation, and they described it as a vast society of souls with its own hierarchy and powerful beings.
  • Puer translated Kevin’s warning that the Reincarnation Church’s selected trial participants might be sacrifices offered to the Gate’s inhabitants.
  • Kallen revealed that the Church’s current Gatekeeper came from the Simosen Family, whose namesake had been a powerful undead being inside the Gate, and concluded that the Reincarnation Church had been polluted by it.

Ch. 291Poor Richard

Richard returned from Dark Moon Island and was beaten by Eisen for bringing home cheap souvenirs after borrowing Point Vouchers to buy a gift for a female Cleric. Meanwhile, Kallen considered competing for one of the Order God Church’s places in the Gate of Reincarnation, and the chapter ended with Richard asking Kallen to visit his family after his grandmother threatened to send him home in a coffin.

  • Madam Tang Li noticed Eisen’s renewed interest in his family and welcomed Richard home with Kaixi.
  • Richard tried to give Eisen souvenir shells, but Eisen attacked him with Order magic and a ceremonial Whip while Madam Tang Li and Kaixi discussed his condition and an upcoming Cleric selection.
  • Kallen reflected on the dangers and promise of the Gate of Reincarnation, deciding he wanted a place in the selection so he could seek the secrets of souls and gods.
  • Richard arrived at Kallen’s home on a stretcher and explained that his grandmother had made Eisen resume beating him after Richard pretended to be dead.

Ch. 292Who do you think you are?

Kallen brought the injured Richard home, shared a meal with the Guman family, and learned that he and Richard would take part in the Gate of Reincarnation Selection. The visit ended with Kallen leaving to see his fiancée, while Madam Tang Li quietly dismissed her husband’s claim that Kallen was not her grandson.

  • Kallen fed Richard wontons, then drove him home in a hearse and carried him inside, where Mr. Eisen took Richard upstairs.
  • Kallen talked with Madam Tang Li in the kitchen and helped her prepare a lavish family meal.
  • Richard woke with white silk covering his skin and realized the bug he had swallowed was healing his injuries.
  • Madam Tang Li asked Old Delong to secure Kallen a place in the Gate of Reincarnation Selection, but Kallen said Bishop Woforen had already registered him.
  • Richard offered to study with Kallen for the soul-focused selection, but Kallen said he was leaving the city to visit his fiancée.
  • After Old Delong left, Madam Tang Li sighed and said he was not worthy of being Kallen’s grandfather.

Ch. 293Visiting Family

Mrs. Tang Li recalled Dis warning her not to seek out Kallen, while Kallen returned to Allen Manor with Puer and Kevin and discussed building an intelligence organization and forming his own Whip of Order squad. At the manor gates, Judiya challenged him, and Kallen swiftly defeated her after she damaged his car.

  • Mrs. Tang Li remembered Dis telling her that Kallen was her grandson, warning her not to reveal his identity to Delong or arrange his life, and describing how the Alt Family bloodline had once cursed him.
  • Mr. Eisen asked Richard to repay Memphis’s Point Vouchers, and Richard promised to pay him back when his mission bonus arrived.
  • Kallen prepared to return to Allen Manor with Puer and Kevin, and Alfred asked to rebuild an Otherworldly Demon intelligence group that Kallen could use for his squad.
  • Kallen told Puer he hoped to earn promotion and form his own Whip of Order squad, then drove toward Allen Manor with Puer and Kevin.
  • Near the manor gates, Judiya damaged Kallen’s car with her riding crop and challenged him to spar; Kallen used the Eyes of the Dark Moon and Dark Moon Blade to overpower and send her into the woods.

Ch. 294No faith in gods

Kallen returned to Allen Manor, replenished the formation sustaining the twelve coffins, and visited Earl Recar and Old Saman in their dreams. After discussing his many powers and faith systems, he explained that he did not believe in gods.

  • Kallen returned to Allen Manor, told the servants not to wake Eunice, and went to inspect the Opera House.
  • Kallen replenished the coffin formation and entered Earl Recar’s consciousness, where Recar pledged his loyalty and discussed his long imprisonment.
  • Kallen used the Chains of Order to connect Recar’s dream to Old Saman’s, bringing the two men together as neighbors.
  • Kallen told Recar and Old Saman about his recent experiences and explained the various faith systems and bloodlines he had acquired.
  • Kallen described how he used powers from several systems without embracing them and declared that he did not believe in gods.

Ch. 295Something had happened

Kallen visited Earl Recar and Old Saman, then spent time with Eunice after she awoke and learned that Alfred’s abilities had grown considerably. When the Gengdi Squad disappeared near Corona Island, Kallen began organizing a rescue and planned to summon Sea Beast Aselos to reach the island quickly.

  • Kallen discussed the faiths collected by the Immerlis Family with Old Saman and Earl Recar, then returned to Allen Manor.
  • Kallen studied photographs and a painting showing Alfred reciting his sayings at Earl Recar’s grave and considered how much Alfred’s abilities had improved.
  • Kallen reunited with Eunice, tried on the clothes she had made for him, and later carried her back to bed after they rode together.
  • Alfred told Kallen that the Gengdi Squad had lost contact during a cargo escort mission near Corona Island, so Kallen contacted Mr. Wood through the newly established Communication Formation.
  • Kallen concluded that something had happened on Corona Island and told Old Anderson that he would handle it with the Whip of Order.
  • Puer proposed meeting Kallen’s captain at Montost Port and summoning Sea Beast Aselos to travel to Corona Island.

Ch. 296He Wanted to Return, Too!

Kallen brought Neo’s group to Corona Island aboard the sea beast Aselos, where the teams began scouting for the force that had attacked Gengdi Squad. In a mountain hollow, they discovered the remains of a Fundamentalist Sea God Church ritual, and Kevin revealed that he wanted to return too.

  • Kallen arrived with Puer, Kevin, and Alfred, and Neo recognized that Kevin’s puppet resembled the Evil God he had seen behind the third window.
  • Puer summoned Aselos, who carried the group across the sea to Corona Island while Kallen and Puer talked about her past adventures.
  • Neo divided the group into scouting teams, and Kallen took Puer, Alfred, and Kevin toward a mountain hollow to investigate.
  • Puer burned away a white cocoon, exposing enormous broken eggshells and the shriveled corpse of a scaled person covered in strange runes.
  • Alfred identified the remains as followers of the Fundamentalist Sea God Church, and Kevin barked that he wanted to return too.

Ch. 297One of us!

Kallen and his companions investigated the transformed Sea God Church believers on Corona Island, while Neo deduced that the group had seized Mayor Wood and was gathering supplies to escape. Kallen infiltrated the office building disguised as one of them, but the real believers exposed the impostors; surrounded by armed enemies, he claimed he was one of them.

  • Kallen learned from Puer and Kevin that the eggs held newly transformed Sea God Church believers, and Alfred recovered the head of the failed hatchling.
  • Neo concluded that eight believers had attacked the Gengdi Squad for Natural Essence and were holding Mayor Wood to secure a ship and supplies.
  • Neo split the teams between investigating the docks and contacting Mayor Wood, giving Kallen signal rounds in case he needed to retreat or call for an attack.
  • Kallen watched robed figures carry food and liquor from the office building, then killed Sandos and disguised himself to infiltrate the building with Alfred's help from outside.
  • Kallen entered alongside apparent rescuers, but they attacked the guards and were overwhelmed by the real Black-Robed People, who then turned on Kallen.
  • Kallen summoned Sea God Armor and calmly told the approaching guards, "I'm one of you."

Ch. 298Attack!

Kallen infiltrated the Sea God Church’s base and found Wood held captive while the church prepared to leave Corona Island with human sacrifices. After the captain’s signal flares began a fight to the death, Kallen confronted Eno with the Sword of Arius and Golden Retriever at his side.

  • Kallen disguised himself as a black-robed follower, helped drain blood from corpses, and painted the blood onto the church’s eggs.
  • Kallen overheard Eno threaten Wood and learned that Wood’s wife and daughter were being held aboard a ship.
  • Kallen revealed himself to Wood, waited for the captain’s signal flare, then freed Wood and fled with him as Eno gave chase.
  • Kallen struck Eno with the Dark Moon Blade, but Eno survived by turning into liquid and re-forming nearby.
  • Kallen drew Eno away from Wood, then stopped when the second and third signal flares ordered the crew to fight.
  • Golden Retriever delivered the Sword of Arius to Kallen, and Kallen faced Eno alongside the barking dog.

Ch. 299The finishing blow

Alfred stalled Dart while Kallen fought Eno, turning their battle into a contest of sealing spells. With Puer’s power and the Water Element Power of Primordial Ancestor Allen, Kallen broke Eno’s formation and Golden Retriever delivered the finishing blow, though Kallen collapsed bloodied.

  • Alfred explained to Puer that Kallen followed the Path of Order, then went to delay Dart as Sea God Church believers fled toward the docks.
  • Signal flares made the island appear surrounded by Whip of Order Squads, and Alfred used illusions to keep Dart occupied.
  • Kallen destroyed Eno’s summoned Sea Wolf and Sea Pythons, but Eno trapped him in a contracting water seal.
  • Kallen repeatedly summoned Order Cages until they forced Eno’s seal outward, while Eno strengthened it by transforming and spending his spiritual power.
  • Puer’s phantom invoked Primordial Ancestor Allen’s power, and Kallen froze Eno’s bubble, triggering an explosion that let him stab Eno with the Sword of Arius.
  • Kallen spat blood and released the sword, but Golden Retriever caught its hilt and twisted it, shredding Eno’s heart.

Ch. 300Where's My Dog?

Kallen and the Hound Dogs Squad fought the fundamentalist Sea God Church believers on Corona Island, destroyed their eggs, and escaped after blowing up a ship. Kevin returned to shore with a strange purple egg that promised him wisdom, then urinated on it and froze as he tried to pick it up again.

  • Kallen killed Eno, took his bracelet, and drove Dart to flee before smashing the eggs in the office building.
  • Kallen contacted Old Anderson to report the fundamentalist Sea God Church believers, then went to help the captain and Memphis fight at the docks.
  • The captain ordered the crew to withdraw and detonated Spell Art Bombs aboard a ship filled with eggs while the enemies tried to rescue them.
  • The captain said the crew had rescued Mr. Wood's wife and daughter and sent Gengdi and the surviving squad members to safety.
  • Kevin emerged from the water with a purple egg that promised him wisdom, urinated on it, and froze when he tried to pick it up again.
