Arc 37The Returning Gods

Kallen and the High Priest confronted the returning gods as Church leaders struggled with divided orders and the cost of resisting them. After the High Priest and several knights sacrificed themselves, Kallen helped defeat the God of Thunder and was asked by Milogar to travel with him.

  • Dis entered the Palace of Eternity with Old Hoffen, witnessed the God of Order’s past, killed Xiabake, and returned to the present to meet Kallen.
  • Dis chose Kallen as his Inheritance Heir, but Kallen refused to let him change the present and returned to Rojia City as his power grew.
  • Kallen investigated the Black Sea, discovered the returning Chief Gods were near, and learned that the High Priest had ordered the Church’s forces to withdraw.
  • Fudeng, Kreid, Xisa, and Kallen recognized that Norton had lost control, while the High Priest revealed himself as Tyranus and summoned Ogurev to fight the Life Chief Gods.
  • Ogurev and the High Priest sacrificed themselves against the returning gods, while Kallen killed Leina'aosi and chose to help the High Priest travel between breaches.
  • The allied churches summoned the Goddess of Night, the God of Netherflame, and the God of Thunder, and Milogar, Xiguman, and Leftina gave their lives to bind them.
  • Kallen entered Xiguman’s Divine Kingdom and helped him fight the God of Thunder, then Xiguman exiled his Godhead and Milogar asked to take Kallen along.
Chapters 901–925 Vol. 10 Read

Ch. 901Look a God in the Eye!

Dis defeated Lefenlina and destroyed much of the Palace of Eternity after seeing her kneel in Order clerical robes, but stopped when he learned that Xiabake was sealed within the palace’s plane. With Old Hoffen’s help, he entered the palace’s past and came face to face with the God of Order, whom he chose to meet without bowing.

  • Dis followed Old Hoffen’s warnings, defeated Lefenlina’s Dharma Body and true body, and took the clerical robes she had protected.
  • Angered by Lefenlina’s humiliation of Order, Dis repeatedly struck the Palace of Eternity until its gates and much of its structure began to collapse.
  • When Lefenlina warned that Xiabake could awaken and threaten the world, Dis agreed to enter the palace and kill the creature while it remained sealed.
  • Old Hoffen unraveled Lefenlina’s phantom, revealed that it served as a bell, and used the bell to guide Dis into the palace’s plane.
  • The bell’s power rewound the palace into the Previous Era, where Dis and Old Hoffen witnessed Raniedal and then the God of Order arrive.
  • The God of Order stopped before Dis and looked directly at him, and Dis held his gaze without bowing.

Ch. 902The three Overlord Chief Gods

Dis and Old Hoffen followed the God of Order through Eternity’s palace as He destroyed its guardians and defeated Lilkanfu and two other deities. Dis then sat on the blue Divine Seat and heard the exchange between the God of Order and the God of Eternity, ending with the promise of an Epoch without gods.

  • Dis endured the God of Order’s overwhelming presence, then entered the palace with Old Hoffen as the God of Order cleared its Small Worlds and guardians.
  • Old Hoffen identified Lilkanfu as the God of Water Waves and described her connection to the Sea God and the God of Eternity.
  • Lilkanfu attacked the God of Order, who crushed her with one hand and deflected the resulting water halos away from Dis and Old Hoffen.
  • The God of Order dragged two more Divine Kingdoms together and destroyed their gods before taking the God of Eternity’s blue Divine Seat.
  • After the God of Order left, Dis asked Old Hoffen to slow time and sat on the Divine Seat, where he heard the God of Order and the God of Eternity discuss an Epoch without gods.

Ch. 903My Lord descends!

Dis cooperated with the God of Order to send Kallen a message from the past, then killed Xiabake and used the Church’s teleportation arrays to reach Rojia City. He returned to 13 Mingke Street, where Kallen sensed that the man before him was not his grandfather.

  • The God of Order returned to the Palace of Eternity, and Dis helped Him send his observations one epoch ahead to Kallen through the Principle Notes.
  • Dis killed Xiabake with the War Scythe and a temporarily assembled Godhead before leaving the Palace of Eternity with Dingneson.
  • Dis traveled through the Church’s teleportation arrays, entered the Office Divine Temple, and briefly faced the High Priest before teleporting to Rojia City.
  • Dis located the missing page in Rojia City and passed Puer and Kevin without stopping; Kevin realized that the figure was not Dis.
  • Kallen went downstairs to meet his returning grandfather, looked at Dis, and asked who he was.

Ch. 904Are you my Inheritance Heir?

Kallen met the God of Order, who had reached the present through a transaction with Dis, and proved that the Hunger Addiction within him was real. After examining Kallen and refusing to read the page that would reveal more about him, Order walked through the city with Kallen and reflected on the world he protected.

  • Dis recognized the Hunger Addiction sealed inside Kallen and used his Divine Kingdom to restrain Kallen and Little Kangna while asking to inspect it.
  • Dis stopped before harming Kallen’s soul and identified himself as Order after Kallen refused to obey him without answers.
  • Kallen opened his soul space to Dis, where the Hunger Addiction Sculpture tried to devour him; Dis then confirmed its presence and left the soul space.
  • Dis explained that he was observing the present through a transaction with Kallen’s grandfather, then chose not to read the missing page about Kallen.
  • Dis and Kallen walked through the city, and Dis said that the world was wonderful before describing the chaos beyond the heavens and the peace he protected.

Ch. 905Changing the future!

Kallen spoke with Dis, the God of Order, about succession, responsibility, and the future, then watched as the God of Order changed his fate by addressing the Hunger Addiction and offering to save his parents. The attempt to alter the past failed when the God of Order said that he had refused.

  • Kallen told Dis that he loved the world and wanted to give it Order, while admitting he would accept being passed over as heir.
  • Dis judged Kallen a qualified inheritance heir and transformed the Hunger Addiction Sculpture into Kallen’s likeness, greatly increasing Kallen’s power.
  • Dis told Kallen he would kill Xiabake so Kallen’s parents would survive, then arrange for Kallen to undergo a Divine Descent Ritual after his birth.
  • Dis closed his eyes to change the past, but Kallen remained unchanged when he opened his eyes again.
  • Dis told Kallen that someone had refused his attempt to change the past.

Ch. 906Judged an Evil God

Kallen accepted Dis’s choice to preserve the family he had now, declared that his love for the world came from them, and insisted that Dis could not change the present without destroying himself. As Kallen’s power rose, Piaget painted him, Dis returned to the previous epoch, and the God of Order judged Rilielsa an evil god.

  • Kallen wiped away his tears, told Dis that his family anchored his love for the world, and said he could match Dis’s power and would not let him change the present.
  • Dis chose Kallen as his Inheritance Heir, explained that he had once pretended to succumb to Hunger Addiction, and said he would return to the Palace of Eternity to keep holding back the gods.
  • Kallen returned to Rojia City as the Hunger Addiction Sculpture’s absorption accelerated, reached the Divine Shepherd stage, and watched order’s blackness cover the stars.
  • Piaget saw Kallen on a nearby rooftop and painted him with paints made from his wife’s ashes; in a dreamlike state, he finally saw Kallen in the finished painting.
  • In the previous epoch, Dis told the God of Order he liked being called Grandpa, then broke apart his godhead and asked to eat something Kallen had made.
  • Rilielsa warned the God of Order with a painting that foretold his end, and the God of Order declared her an evil god.

Ch. 907Return of the Gods

Kallen completed the Divine Shepherd stage and learned that he needed the returning gods to create the subjects required to advance to Inquisitor and inherit the God of Order’s power. As Kallen helped Piaget recover and considered the meaning of his portrait, the Black Sea erupted with the first sign of the gods’ return.

  • Kallen completed the Divine Shepherd stage, while the Allen Family’s faith system and the coffins’ occupants gained access to his power.
  • Kallen concluded that he could not reach the Inquisitor realm until the gods returned, and he left the Gate of Order and Temple undisturbed.
  • The Divine Edict User visited the recovering Wukongjia, who speculated that Kallen had condensed another godhead fragment.
  • Piaget revealed that his portrait of Kallen was Rilielsa’s legendary work, “The End of Order”; Kallen connected it to his future succession and arranged medical treatment for Piaget.
  • Andejin spotted three enormous heads emerging from the Black Sea, and the Order Clerics sent urgent reports as a tsunami engulfed the monitoring stations.

Ch. 908Secret Mission

Kallen prepared to leave home, visited Rasma and the Whip Bearer, and reported to the High Priest as the Garden of Life crisis worsened. The High Priest gave Kallen a secret mission to find and protect their returned but weakened Lord.

  • Kallen learned that Neo planned to stay at the house so Dis could guide his cultivation, then left with Kangna and Alfred.
  • Kallen visited Rasma, showed him news of the rising islands in the Garden of Life, and told him he could leave his quarters but could not send messages outside.
  • Kallen visited Fudeng at Whip of Order Headquarters, where Aoji was recovering from a concussion after being stepped on by a deity.
  • Fudeng sent Kallen to Church Headquarters, and Kangna stayed behind to comfort Aoji with the aura of the Rebel Dragon God.
  • Kallen told the High Priest that the deities had agreed to answer Order's summons, and the High Priest tasked him with finding and protecting their returned Lord.

Ch. 909Countdown

Kallen reconnoitered the Black Sea, recovered the previous squad’s intelligence, and withdrew after encountering a barrier filled with the resentment of fallen gods. He briefed the commanders on preparations for the coming battle, which was expected to begin in half a month.

  • Kallen and Little Kangna flew into the polluted Black Sea, where they found the previous reconnaissance ship split in two and recovered a wooden box containing the squad’s intelligence.
  • A polluted Lapas attacked, and Little Kangna fought and destroyed it while Kallen stopped himself from crossing the barrier into the core region.
  • Kallen and Little Kangna returned to the commanders, and Kallen purified the pollution from her before briefing them about what he had seen.
  • Daan and the other commanders discussed preparations for the returning gods, including informing the Reincarnation and Moon Order churches and reassuring soldiers about fighting Ogurev.
  • Kallen told the commanders he would report to the High Priest, then sat with Little Kangna and said the gods should be the ones feeling nervous.

Ch. 910The High Priest Out of Control!

Kallen established a temporary headquarters in the Garden of Life and retrieved the coffin the High Priest had sent into the Black Sea. After Shumiller Bohn awakened and claimed that the Lord had returned to summon Order’s rebels, Fudeng found two High Priests waiting in the Office Divine Temple.

  • The High Priest ordered Kallen to establish a temporary headquarters, keep communications with Mink Street open, and retrieve a coffin returning from the Black Sea.
  • Kallen met Xinyali, then welcomed Loya and began preparing for another Black Sea expedition with Little Kangna and Molindi.
  • Kallen overruled Mihachi’s squad and retrieved the coffin, whose seal was broken after Molindi placed the Gem on it.
  • Molindi awakened Shumiller Bohn, who displayed a powerful gaze and claimed that the Lord had returned and was summoning Order’s rebels.
  • Kallen challenged Shumiller, who said that Tyranus and the rebels were the same and that they had all been deceived by Him.
  • Fudeng entered the Office Divine Temple and found two High Priests; one invited him to sit, while the other asked who had told him to sit.

Ch. 911Rebellion!

Fudeng realized Norton might have failed to suppress Tyranus after receiving contradictory Divine Edicts that threatened the Order God Church’s preparations for the returning gods. He joined Kreid and Xisa in resisting the orders, and as Kreid considered a coup, Fudeng proposed another solution: Mink Street.

  • Fudeng saw two versions of the High Priest issue contradictory orders and feared that Norton had lost control to Tyranus.
  • Fudeng returned to Headquarters, ignored the order to contact Kallen, and received reports that Kreid and Xisa were making unusual moves.
  • Fudeng met Kreid and Xisa in Saint Antis, where Xisa revealed the High Priest had ordered Ogurev’s [Silver Dust Knuckle Duster] unsealed and sent to the Garden of Life.
  • Kreid reported that the High Priest had ordered troops withdrawn from the Garden of Life and fortifications abandoned at other return sites; the three agreed to delay the orders and coordinate with others who had noticed the change.
  • Kreid proposed contacting Daan to bring the Knight Orders into Church Headquarters and seize control of the High Priest, but Xisa warned that it could trigger civil war.
  • Fudeng said he could find a better way and named Mink Street.

Ch. 912An unexpected turn

Kallen entered the Black Sea’s Core Area to scout the three chief gods, but Ogurev’s attack nearly killed him before the God of Order and Light intervened. After Kallen returned, he found the forces withdrawing under the High Priest’s Divine Edict.

  • Kallen watched Shumiller die after Ogurev’s will withdrew, then sent his coffin into the Black Sea.
  • Kallen crossed the membrane with Loya’s help and examined the three chief gods, discovering their injuries and that they were concealing their condition.
  • Kallen fought off Lapas and a black giant while continuing his reconnaissance, then used the Eye of Order to pierce the gods’ distortions.
  • Ogurev struck Kallen with a World-Destroying Thunderbolt, but the God of Order and Light appeared and forced Ogurev’s third eye shut.
  • Kallen escaped the Core Area with Little Kangna and absorbed the pollution from her before reaching shore.
  • Kallen found the Knight Order and Regular Army withdrawing, and Regiment Commander Daan showed him the High Priest’s Divine Edict ordering the retreat.

Ch. 913Open the Door

Kallen learned that the High Priest had ordered a withdrawal from the Garden of Life and heard Fudeng’s claim that Tyranus’s will had taken control of him. After arranging for Dis, Raniedal, and the Whip Bearer’s allies to enter Dinge District, Kallen defied Rohan’s attempt to stop him and flew toward Church Headquarters to confront the High Priest.

  • Daan confirmed the High Priest’s Divine Edict ordering two Knight Orders and their attached armies to withdraw, while Kallen warned that three Chief God-level deities were about to return.
  • Fudeng told Kallen that the High Priest had lost himself, had ordered Kreid to withdraw and halt preparations elsewhere, and needed to be stopped; Kallen agreed to seek help from Mink Street.
  • Kallen contacted the High Priest, received only an order to carry out the withdrawal, then told Hoffen that the Whip Bearer’s group was preparing a coup and asked him to bring Raniedal into Church Headquarters.
  • Kallen sent Alfred to arrange their entry into Dinge District and headed to Church Headquarters himself, refusing Rohan’s warning to return to Vien.
  • Kallen resisted Rohan’s seals with his own power, and Little Kangna broke through the barrier and carried him toward Church Headquarters.
  • Kallen arrived at the headquarters gates on Little Kangna and ordered Section Chief Bickmaine to open them.

Ch. 914Sinner

Kallen confronted the High Priest about his orders and learned that Norton had been overcome by Tyranus, who now claimed to be the High Priest. As the Church prepared for a possible uprising, its forces attacked the Black Sea under the High Priest’s orders, accelerating the deities’ return to a single day.

  • Kallen rode Little Kangna into Church Headquarters and insisted on meeting the High Priest despite Mobiten and the guards trying to stop him.
  • Wukongjia told Kallen that the High Priest had been lapsing into motionless states, then let him enter the Office Divine Temple, where Kallen found six tombstones from the Divine Temple.
  • The High Priest woke and told Kallen he had ordered a full withdrawal from the Garden of Life and planned to meet other churches’ leaders as the deities returned.
  • The High Priest revealed that Norton had lost control and identified himself as Tyranus, while Kallen questioned whether the Church’s leader was still the person he trusted.
  • Fudeng, Kreid, and other Church leaders remained under surveillance as their allies secretly mobilized troops and supplies across the districts.
  • At the Garden of Life, Xierma obeyed the divine edict to attack the Black Sea, weakening its restraints and bringing Ogurev and the other deities close to returning within one day.

Ch. 915Praise Order!

Kallen confronted the High Priest over his order to withdraw the troops, but the High Priest took him to the Garden of Life as the gods approached. There, he revealed that he was Tyranus and that Norton had never existed, before Ogurev struck down the two returning Life Chief Gods and roared, “Praise Order!”

  • Kallen found Base exhausted and surrounded by the bodies of countless Nortons, then followed the High Priest along the shore and demanded that he rescind the withdrawal order.
  • Kallen threatened the High Priest with the Blade of Sighs, but the High Priest activated a Divine Kingdom domain, overpowered him, and teleported them to the Garden of Life.
  • The High Priest revealed that he was Tyranus and that Norton had been a construct meant to prevent his pollution; the polluted Doppelganger claiming to be Tyranus dissolved.
  • The High Priest summoned Ogurev’s Silver Dust Knuckle Duster and welcomed his old companion as the two Life Chief Gods neared their return.
  • Ogurev used his Divine Artifact to smash both Life Chief Gods into the ground, then roared, “Praise Order!”

Ch. 916Buried in sacrifice!

Ogurev and Tyranus sacrificed themselves to stop the returning gods, while the High Priest revealed his resolve to protect Order and prepare its next leader. As Ogurev’s flames consumed the Life Chief Gods, he offered his Godhead Inheritance to Dis, who refused it.

  • Ogurev betrayed the two Life Chief Gods, and the High Priest explained that faith had restored his true loyalty to Order.
  • Dis and Raniedal arrived with the High Priest and Kallen, while Ogurev fought the Life Chief Gods and Tyranus burned the advancing gods with divine fire.
  • The High Priest told Kallen that Ogurev intended to die, revealed his own duty to hold the line, and urged Kallen to prepare for the next High Priest.
  • The God of Order blessed Ogurev and Tyranus as Ogurev set himself and the two Life Chief Gods ablaze in a sacrificial burial.
  • Ogurev offered his burning Order Godhead to Dis, but Dis calmly refused it.

Ch. 917A more suitable candidate

Ogurev agreed to banish his Godhead, while the Life Chief Gods also prepared to pass on Life’s inheritance. As a sacrifice swept through Life’s sacred lands and the Silent Ones worked to empower Leina'aosi, Kallen received Buken’s report and the High Priest chose Raniedal and Dis to intervene.

  • Dis refused Ogurev’s Godhead, and the High Priest told Ogurev to banish it; the Life Chief Gods then chose to melt and banish Life’s Godhead as well.
  • Neo and Dali Wenluo witnessed a mass sacrifice in Xining Siluo as Life’s clerics and ordinary residents turned into blood mist flowing toward the sacred land’s peak.
  • The Silent Ones used Life’s divine artifact to gather life force for Leina'aosi, who began receiving Life’s inheritance at a remote altar.
  • Buken reported the Silent Ones’ location to Kallen, but said he lacked the forces to disrupt the ritual.
  • The High Priest asked Raniedal and Dis to respond as the more suitable candidates for the mission.

Ch. 918Dis's interception

After inheriting the Life Chief God's power, Leina'aosi was intercepted by Dis and fought to escape, but Dis overwhelmed him inside Order's [Life-and-Death Arena]. As Leina'aosi faced death, he reached out through a Tree of Life Branch to Dali Wenluo and offered him the inheritance of life in exchange for revenge.

  • Leina'aosi completed his ritual and began relocating, but Dis intercepted him on a barren island, saying his grandson wanted him dead.
  • Neo and Dali Wenluo lost Leina'aosi's trail, then Kevin carried them through the spatial counterflow; Kevin later showed Neo a view of Dis's battle and sensed a hidden god nearby.
  • Dis trapped Leina'aosi in Order's [Life-and-Death Arena], where Leina'aosi summoned living island and sea creatures before attacking with the [Immortal Crown] and a vine sword.
  • Dis wounded Leina'aosi repeatedly, while the Crown restored his body but cracked; Leina'aosi pleaded to keep his inheritance and life, then called for help through the vine sword.
  • Dali Wenluo, left floating at sea, heard Leina'aosi's voice through the vines and swore to the God of Life in exchange for the inheritance and revenge.

Ch. 919A God's Funeral (1)

Dali Wenluo received the Life Inheritance, but Leina'aosi’s attempt to parasitize him led Kallen to destroy Leina'aosi. After the High Priest discussed his plans with Kallen, Kallen chose to arrange funerals for the returning gods.

  • Dali Wenluo received the Life Inheritance and grew a tree whose fruits revealed a Godhead Fragment containing Leina'aosi’s consciousness.
  • Leina'aosi used Forbidden-Life Parasitism to transfer himself into Dali Wenluo, but found no soul to consume because Dali Wenluo was Kallen’s puppet.
  • Kallen confronted Leina'aosi in the pool and killed him with the Hunger Addiction Sculpture after refusing his offer to become a Branch God of Order.
  • Kallen returned to reality, instructed Daina to resend a message to the Whip Bearer, and joined the High Priest on the dried-up Black Sea.
  • The High Priest offered Kallen a choice between preparing to succeed him at Church Headquarters and helping him travel between breaches; Kallen chose the latter.
  • Kallen told the High Priest that he wanted to arrange funerals for him and the other returning gods.

Ch. 920A god's funeral (2)

Neo learned that rebuilding the Church of Light could help him advance, while Kallen supported the High Priest through negotiations and a transfer of power in the Order Church. The High Priest appointed Kreid acting High Priest and warned the assembled leaders that both he and the God of Order would watch them.

  • Neo showed Old Hoffen his new light abilities, and Old Hoffen suggested he rebuild the Church of Light to gain legitimacy and favor from light’s Branch Gods.
  • Kallen brought the weakening High Priest to meet the Church Venerables of the Storm God, Black Rock God, and Crystal God Churches, who requested a one-year lease of the Panluoer Icefield to prepare for their Chief Gods’ returns.
  • The High Priest accepted the lease without resistance, and Kallen suspected that the High Priest had made plans he was not revealing.
  • Kallen pushed the High Priest before thirty Order Church leaders, where the High Priest formally told Kreid to sit as acting High Priest before Kreid returned to his place.
  • The High Priest warned the leaders that he had brought them to their positions to lead them to their deaths, then called them back and reminded them that the God of Order was watching too.

Ch. 921A god's funeral (3)

Kallen and the High Priest watched the three churches spend enormous resources to bring their Chief Gods back, while the Order forces kept their plans hidden. The returning figures revealed that the churches had welcomed different gods than they expected, leaving Xibolain and the allied commanders devastated.

  • Little Kangna raised an enormous Ice Sculpture Palace to outshine Aoji, then joined her in destroying the churches' reconnaissance squad after Kallen approved.
  • Kallen privately planned to unify the scattered Light Remnants, while Fudeng agreed to help keep the plan secret.
  • Kallen refused to meet Sibolane Pompo and let Little Kangna inspect the three churches' elite forces without retaliation.
  • The allied churches opened a vast breach and summoned their apparent Chief Gods as Kallen and the High Priest watched from the ice field.
  • The figures behind Xiguman, Milogar, and Leftina were revealed as the Goddess of Night, the God of Netherflame, and the God of Thunder, not the gods the three churches expected.
  • Xibolain realized that the allied forces had welcomed the wrong gods.

Ch. 922A god's funeral (4)

Kallen and the High Priest witnessed Order’s long-planned funeral sacrifice as Xiguman awakened Panrol and sealed the icefield, trapping the allied armies with the returning gods. The Order knights sacrificed themselves to ignite three Chief Gods, who then attacked the Three-Church Allied Forces, while Kallen watched and joked that the spectacle was making him hungry.

  • Kallen broke the guards’ formation to let the High Priest experience the wind and snow, and Mobiten realized Kallen had reached the realm of a Temple Elder.
  • The High Priest called on Xiguman to awaken Panrol, whose ice powers isolated the icefield from the outside world.
  • The High Priest ordered Milogar, Xiguman, and Leftina to bind the Goddess of Night, the God of Netherflame, and the God of Thunder, then the three knights sacrificed themselves to burn the gods.
  • The churches’ Divine Miracles collapsed as the gods’ deaths took effect, while Dis reflected on the gods’ sacrifice and Neo mourned his lost Thunder Cigarettes.
  • The three Chief Gods turned on the trapped Three-Church Allied Forces, and Xibolain ordered his troops to defend and counterattack.
  • The High Priest asked Kallen what he thought of the battle, and Kallen replied that even he was getting hungry watching it.

Ch. 923Funeral of the Gods (5)

Alfred and Dikno observed the returning chief gods devastate the Crystal, Black Rock, and Storm legions, while the High Priest explained the wider threat and warned Kallen of the burden ahead. Kevin, Puer, and Dis then reached the Cavern, where five ancient tombstones prepared to confront a powerful being emerging there.

  • Alfred recorded the churches’ first attack as the Magic Crystal Cannons fired, while he and Dikno used the Eye of Order to observe the battle for the Knight Order.
  • The Goddess of Night corrupted the Crystal giants, shattered the Crystal Legion’s formation, and consumed its soldiers and resources.
  • The God of Thunder broke through the Black Rock Legion’s restraints and unleashed thunder and demon-beast phantoms, while the God of Netherflame accepted Hua'erfu’s offer and let Xibolain escape through a small gap in the Icefield boundary.
  • After Xibolain and the senior Storm officials fled, the Storm Legion collapsed, and the God of Netherflame began consuming its clerics; the High Priest told Kallen that later waves of returning gods would fall to the church and future generations.
  • Kevin and Puer rushed to the Cavern, and Dis followed; there, five ancient tombstones told Dis and Immoreles to leave while they faced the threat themselves.

Ch. 924A god's funeral (6)

Dis and the Elders faced the God of the Cavern, who ultimately retreated into his tomb, while the High Priest arranged for Kallen to witness a Divine War through Xiguman. Kallen entered Xiguman’s Divine Kingdom, where the Knight recognized him as the next God of Order and prepared to challenge the God of Thunder.

  • Dis stayed at the cavern as the God of the Cavern withdrew, prompting the five tombstones to curse him for refusing to awaken.
  • The High Priest connected Kallen’s soul to Xiguman’s Divine Kingdom so Kallen could experience a battle between gods.
  • Xiguman recognized Kallen as the designated successor to the God of Order and used the Divine Kingdom’s power to freeze time.
  • Kallen chose the God of Thunder as Xiguman’s opponent, and Xiguman summoned Panrol and the Arctic Spear for the fight.
  • Xiguman formally challenged the God of Thunder and declared himself the strongest of the 12 Knights, while the High Priest called him shameless.

Ch. 925A god's funeral (7)

Xiguman fought the God of Thunder in the Icefield, then let Kallen share his power so Kallen could help defeat the Thunder Python. Xiguman and the God of Thunder fell together, and after Xiguman exiled his Godhead, Milogar asked to take Kallen with him.

  • Xiguman challenged the God of Thunder, using the Arctic Spear to freeze his lightning and pierce his chest.
  • The God of Thunder released Sangqikaer, the Thunder Python, and Xiguman accepted Kallen’s request to lend him his power.
  • Kallen used an imitation of Xiguman’s strike to break the Thunder Python, then returned to his body gravely injured.
  • Xiguman smashed half the God of Thunder’s head, swore allegiance to the God of Order’s successor, and burned with the God of Thunder in Divine Flame.
  • Xiguman exiled his Godhead, and Milogar asked to take Kallen along.
