When Lumian first heard about the Bliss Society ' plan, his immediate reaction was that Suzanne had made a crucial mistake.

What's sealed within him isn't the Corruption of Angel-Level, but a true Angel!

The former has no self-awareness and reacts entirely on instinct. Unless the seal can be broken and the connection between it and the original body can be re-established, it is just a pile of explosives with the detonator temporarily removed. Although there is still a possibility of explosion, the situation is obviously under control for Suzanne and other followers of the Evil God god.

If they find the right method, utilizing the isolated environment inside the "Shadow Tree," the elaborate Ritual arrangements, and the watchful gaze of the Evil God during the sacrifice, they can completely break the seal and prevent the Angel-Level from Corruption and threatening them, thus sacrificing it to the "Mother Tree of Desire."

The latter, however, is capable of thinking, has a mind, and possesses strong initiative; they would not stand idly by and watch themselves be sacrificed.

Once the seal is completely broken, will Suzanne and Charlotte truly be able to defeat a real Angel?

One of them is Sequence 5 Evil Spirit who can only possess a slight degree of Divinity through the "Shadow Tree," while the other is clearly still an "Actor" with an uncontrollable desire to perform. The real Angel is at least Sequence 2, and can be called "He," which in ancient times was almost equivalent to Deity, called " from Subordinate God." The difference between the two is as great as that between Saint and Ordinary Person.

Lumian initially didn't try to escape from Termiboros because he worried that this treacherous Angel would take the opportunity to make him do things that seemed normal on the surface, but secretly helped Him to infiltrate more power out of the seal.

In that case, the final outcome would likely be the death of Lumian, the death of Suzanne, the death of Charlotte, the destruction of the "Shadow Tree" or its retreat Underground, and the true arrival of Termiboros in this world.

Now, with no other options, Lumian had no choice but to walk onto the tightrope stretched across the Abyss, hoping to maintain his balance.

If he is not careful, he will fall and there will be no way to save him.

As soon as he finished speaking, Termiboros's deep and majestic voice rang in his ears.

After first hearing and rejecting the other party's temptation, Lumian successfully remembered the existence of this Angel, but never communicated with Him again. He could only perceive that His Destiny was connected to his own through the abnormal or Predestination development of some things around him, and that He had not given up and was still making some attempts.

Now, after many days, Lumian once again directly heard Termiboros's words and truly felt that an Angel was sealed within him.

The voice of Termiboros carried a hint of ease and comfort, echoing in his ears:

"If looking down on me can free me from the seal, then I hope they despise me even more."

"This is a perfect environment. I've been waiting for this kind of environment. Even if you die soon and the seal loses its support, people outside won't be able to detect the Change and won't be able to stop me from breaking free of my shackles."

"They might not kill you outright, but if they attempt to break the seal and perform a sacrifice, I can bring their Predestination Destiny forward, remove them from your body, and disrupt their Ritual."

The implication Termiboros's many statements seems to be:

This is the opportunity I've been waiting for!

Why should I help you? Just wait patiently for the outcome!

Lumian fell silent and jumped away from his original position.

The tree roots there split open, and from them grew huge, pale, wet flowers. The petals of the flowers bloomed one by one, like the Abyss opening its mouth.

Achoo!

Lumian took another sniff of the Mysticism Smelling Salts, trying to shake off his drowsiness.

He immediately raised his head, looked up at Suzanne Matisse high in the sky, and laughed almost maniacally, "Ha ha, you are the most foolish people I have ever seen!"

"You actually set up this Ritual without knowing anything. Were your brains emptied out because of your faith in the ' Mother Tree of Desire,' or were your heads filled with all sorts of liquids?"

"I tell you, what is sealed within me is not the Corruption of Angel-Level, but a true Angel, whose name is Termiboros!"

"Once you break the seal, He will descend here, kill you all, break this filthy, broken, and corrupt tree on the spot, and throw it into the latrine!"

"If I were you, I would stop the Ritual right now and let me leave!"

Suzanne Mattis, constantly shifting her position within the illusory Canopy, turned her gaze downwards.

She looked at Lumian and smiled, saying, "Are you Bluff again? You really love Bluff. I learned my lesson from you last time, but I won't fall for it again."

Not far from her, on a branch, on the surface of the Golden Rooster Inn, which was covered by Vines and branches, one of the windows revealed the figure of the Playwright Gabriel.

He took the Fountain Pen and frantically wrote his name on the paper, just like a famous author signing autographs for his readers.

He was consumed by the desire to finally become famous after the script for "The Chaser of Light" became popular.

Suzanne Mattis further stated, "Moreover, we considered the possibility that it wasn't Corruption, but rather the existence of an Angel."

"Therefore, under Deity inspiration, we have modified a key part of the Ritual. You will be the main Sacrifice, along with the seal and the Angel, and will be offered to the great ' Mother Tree of Desire.' This will not affect the final effect."

"Sacrifice is not cooking, where Ingredient must be turned into dishes. All we need to do is deliver the Sacrifice to the Deity. As for how to deal with you, the seal on your body and the Angel within you, that is up to the great ' Mother Tree of Desire ' to decide."

"Otherwise, why do you think I didn't actually attack you? That might have caused the seal to be broken prematurely!"

"Don't even think about threatening me with suicide. I'll give you a strong will to live."

This makes Termiboros sound like a precious gift that might run away on its own, the seal like a locked box, and Lumian like exquisite packaging. Suzanne and Charlotte don't plan to unwrap the packaging, open the box, take out the gift inside, and give it to the "Mother Tree of Desire." Instead, they intend to take the box and packaging to the Deity to avoid any potential huge risks.

After listening to Suzanne Matisse's words, Lumian felt no surprise, no fear, no disappointment, and no frustration.

He lowered his head slightly, looked at his left chest, and once again curled the corners of his mouth into a smile:

"Termiboros, did you hear that? You will be packaged up and sent to the Deity called That One ' Mother Tree of Desire,' and you will not be given a chance to break free of the seal."

"I don't know how the ' Mother Tree of Desire ' will deal with you, but I suspect it won't be anything good. Are you really going to just stand by and wait for the final outcome?"

This time, Termiboros did not respond to Lumian immediately; after a few seconds, His voice echoed in a deep, resonant tone:

"Pull out your ' Fallen Mercury ' and stab the trunk of the ' Shadow Tree,' making sure to penetrate the Second Layer of bark."

Lumian paused for a moment, then said, "The Destiny of the ' Shadow Tree ' can also be exchanged?"

Termiboros's voice regained its majestic quality:

"It didn't work before, but it does now."

"That tree itself possesses certain living characteristics, equivalent to Mythical Treefolk has not yet truly developed intelligence."

Without hesitation, Lumian reached inward with his left hand, passing through the crimson Flame Cloak and the Robe made of flesh and blood, and pulled out the silver-black Dagger with layers of Evil patterns.

He crouched slightly, his body wreathed in flowing crimson Flames, and charged like a cheetah toward the trunk of the "Shadow Tree," leaping repeatedly to avoid the cracks and blooming giant flowers.

Seeing Lumian's new actions, Suzanne Matisse, though not overly concerned and disbelieving he could truly harm the "Shadow Tree" or herself, still prioritized caution. She planned to directly ignite his desires and create corresponding illusions, leading him to "communicate" with a certain flower or tree hollow.

Suzanne Matisse's emerald eyes reflected Lumian in Flesh Robe and a Flame Cloak, and her gaze instantly softened.

She had hoped to see the target immediately change direction and rush towards the nearest pale giant flower, but Lumian seemed unaffected and went straight to the brownish-green main stem.

Beneath his body, covered by Flame Cloak, Lumian held Mysticism Smelling Salts in his right hand, which he placed in front of his nose.

The fumes made his eyes water and he could barely sneeze, but he managed to endure it thanks to the patience of Mendicant Friar.

Suzanne Matisse was quite puzzled by this. Given her status and Sequence, even if the other party was holding Mysticism Smelling Salts and constantly smelling them, she shouldn't be completely unaffected.

Normally, given the difference in strength between the two sides, it would be entirely possible for her to make Lumian sneeze while searching for the pale giant flower and brown-green crevices, even while he was constantly smelling the Mysticism Smelling Salts.

Of course, in similar scenarios and illustrations, there is also a probability of failing to exert influence, but that probability is definitely much lower than the probability of success.

Now, Suzanne Matisse's first attempt failed to produce results, much like a skilled dice roller unexpectedly throwing the lowest possible number.

Achoo!

Lumian sneezed loudly.

While his mind was still clear and before Suzanne could exert her influence a second time, he used his right finger to plug the opening of the Metal Vial and thrust the "Fallen Mercury" he held in his hand into the brownish-green trunk of the "Shadow Tree," aiming for the pinhole-sized hole he had previously created with the Blazing White Spear.

With a clang, the "Fallen Mercury" seemed to have hit a brick wall, failing to penetrate any further.

Achoo!

Lumian had just inhaled a large amount of Mysticism Smelling Salts, sneezed again, shaking off another desire stirred up by Suzanne and causing her to fail once more.

Crimson Flames began to swirl around Lumian's right hand, which held the Metal Vial.

It absorbed the Flame Cloak covering its body, rapidly condensing into a Blazing White gauntlet.

The next second, Lumian raised his right fist and slammed it heavily on the top of the hilt of "Fallen Mercury," just like Blacksmith hammering a weapon.

With a bang, the Blazing White gauntlet detached from Lumian's right hand and exploded directly at the tail of "Fallen Mercury".

Boom!

Lumian's left hand, which was holding the knife, was blown to pieces and charred in several places, while "Fallen Mercury" was propelled forward by the exaggerated Impact of the explosion.

It pierced through the First Layer of bark with great difficulty, and then inserted itself shallowly into the trunk of the "Shadow Tree".
