Wax figure
A figure slowly emerged from the Blood-Colored- stained river.
For some reason, Lumian seemed to be Intimidation, his thoughts became sluggish, and he did not immediately launch an attack, watching helplessly as the figure climbed ashore.
It was a strange man with a stiff and gloomy face. His clothes were soaked in water and showed signs of softening, which Lumian immediately realized were Flesh Fusion.
This is a wax Wax Figures, a wax Wax Figures that has come to life!
Drops of bright red blood oozed from the Wax Figures, mingling with the flowing River Water and splashing onto the wild grass on the bank.
Amidst the ticking sound, the Wax Figures's light blue Eyes moved slightly against the white background, vaguely reflecting Lumian's silhouette.
Just one glance from it went Lumian's mind went blank. He seemed to refuse to meet its gaze and was subjected to intense suppression, neither his body nor his mind daring to resist.
In an instant, Danger Sense, driven by the will to survive, surged within Lumian and grew stronger and stronger.
Finally, they erupted completely, overwhelming other emotions and states.
Lumian's vision returned immediately.
At this moment, in his eyes, the gloomy, dull, and stiff-eyed Wax Figures face was less than a meter away from him, and the Paleness hand dripping blood had its five fingers spread out, each one like a sharp blade, stabbing towards him.
Lumian had no time to react; he could only instinctively raise his right palm to shield his face.
With a bang, the Paleness fingers, sharper than Dagger, were stopped by the Iron-Black "Torture" gauntlets with short barbs.
Where the boxing gloves weren't blocking the view, the Wax Figures's fingers pierced through Lumian's palm, leaving a noticeable scar on his face.
Had he not broken free from that Intimidation in time, the blow would have pierced his Skull and penetrated his brain.
The familiar pain brought Lumian to his senses. He clenched his left hand tightly, which was still burning with crimson Flames, and swung it with all his might at the side of the wax Wax Figures's face.
At the same time, he smiled, clenched his right palm, and used the flesh and blood to hinder the Wax Figures's right hand from retracting, briefly imprisoning its evasion.
Bang!
The "Torture" gauntlets knocked the wax Wax Figures's head askew, and the short, black iron spikes on its surface kissed the hard face, creating exaggerated scratches that faded from deep to shallow.
The Wax Figures was bleeding bright red blood just like a real person, but the wounds showed no trace of flesh, only layers of wax piled up and softened as if melted by fire.
Immediately afterwards, thin, Blood-Colored- red tubes bulged from the Wax Figures's light blue Eyes, exuding a strong bloodthirsty desire from the inside out.
This makes it more vivid and lifelike than before.
Lumian had chosen to "Torture" the gauntlets because they were his most powerful Mystical Item, and the enemy was the dangerous creature Termiboros had described, so he couldn't be careless. However, he didn't expect that the stalker wasn't a living person, but a wax Wax Figures.
In this way, the "Torture" gauntlets seem to lose their ability to evoke certain desires or emotions, and can only be used as a defensive weapon.
If it weren't for the strange Intimidation he had just experienced, Lumian would have already taken off his gauntlets, tossed them aside, and switched to his "Dignity" Brooch. But now, with the enemy right in front of him, he could only make do with "Torture," but the focus had shifted to "Fire Infusion." He didn't even dare use the "Heng-Ha Art," fearing it wouldn't be effective against such things.
To Lumian's surprise once again, that punch had actually aroused the Wax Figures's bloodlust.
The other person seems to still be alive in some way, possessing faint emotions and desires of their own!
"It's good that you're still alive!" Lumian's smile widened.
He withdrew his right palm, enduring the pain, and delivered another swinging punch, still crackling with crimson Flames, knocking the Wax Figures's head back to its original position.
The wax Wax Figures, its bloodlust intensified, did not attempt to distance itself. Instead, it used that Intimidation once more, instinctively and frantically engaging Lumian in close combat.
This suited Lumian perfectly. His Iron-Black gauntlets, studded with short spikes and encased in Crimson Flames, clashed repeatedly with the Wax Figures's arms, forearms, fists, shoulders, torso, and head in swift, close-quarters combat.
Each punch isn't particularly powerful; the key is to deliver a "high frequency" of impact!
Bang bang bang, slap slap slap, Lumian's fists, adorned with "Torture" and trailing crimson flames, suppressed the Wax Figures— which was anything but stiff, even remarkably agile and possessed excellent fighting skills—unable to use any other abilities.
He would occasionally step forward with his feet and raise his knees to deal with attacks from below.
In just ten or twenty seconds, the wax Wax Figures suddenly stopped, and a phantom explosion sounded from within it.
The capillaries in its Eyes burst open, turning the light blue into bright red. Cracks appeared on its head, running from the inside out, connecting with the wounds inflicted by the Torture.
"Desire Detonation!"
Under Lumian's extremely high-frequency attacks, the "Desire Detonation" effect of the "Torture" gauntlets was triggered!
Seeing this, Lumian withdrew his fists and quietly looked at the wax Wax Figures, its Blood-Colored eyes revealing a Pain emotion.
Two reddish tears slowly formed at the corners of its eyes and slid down.
The Wax Figures opened its mouth, as if trying to say something, but no sound came out.
Rumble!
A muffled explosion occurred inside its body, and exaggerated wounds appeared all over its body.
Spurts of Crimson Flames erupted from those spots, completely igniting the wax Wax Figures.
"Fire Infusion"!
In the intense Burning, the Wax Figures quickly softened, its body covered in sticky, blood-stained droplets.
Thump!
It fell to the ground.
What kind of Monster is this? Lumian stared at it for more than ten seconds, intuitively judging from the perspective of a "Hunter" that the prey should not have any Beyonder Characteristic.
During this process, he picked up the Briefcase and put the "Torture" gloves back.
Lumian didn't linger any longer, turned around, and walked out of the woods.
Behind him, Crimson Flames leaped and burned his dripping blood.
In the blazing firelight, the wax Wax Figures had melted beyond recognition, while Lumian's figure faded away step by step, suddenly disappearing not far away.
"Spirit World Traversal!"
To avoid the Evil God gaze and dangerous creatures brought by the "Torture" gauntlets, he directly changed his location and "Teleportation" to the town ahead.
That was a place he had scouted beforehand, a place where he knew the coordinates of the Spirit World.
Several dozen seconds later, on the forest road where only a few Flames were still Burning, a desolate and ruined Wilderness suddenly unfolded.
The Weeds there gradually grew lush, and a figure in a white Robe quickly emerged.
The figure wore a light-colored veil, her belly was noticeably protruding, and she exuded a tangible maternal glow; she was none other than the "Lady Moon" of the "Night Tour Society."
"Lady Moon" turned her gaze to the completely melted, blood-stained wax Wax Figures, watching the Crimson Flames dance silently there.
After observing for about ten seconds, the Lady, along with the desolate Wilderness, vanished in an instant.
Inside the Main Building of Red Swan Castle, in a room.
Count Puyver, dressed in a red shirt and black trousers, sat behind a messy table, staring indifferently at a Wax Figure Head placed in front of him.
The head was sculpted so realistically that it was indistinguishable from a real person, with light blue Eyes and dark hair.
In the silent wait, Count Puyver appeared somewhat anxious, occasionally tugging at his collar, shifting his posture, and even unbuttoning the top button of his shirt, as if the surrounding air was unusually thin, making it difficult for him to breathe smoothly.
As time ticked by, the Wax Figure Head suddenly made a clicking sound.
It suddenly split into many pieces, each of which was in a highly molten state.
Puyfer stood up abruptly, his pupils dilating instantly.
In his eyes, tiny blood vessels bulged out, many of them ruptured, staining them bright red.
"Killed?" Puyfer muttered to himself in surprise and disbelief.
Charles Dubois was even more mysterious and powerful than he had anticipated!
Even if he himself isn't, the Concealment forces behind him certainly are!
Count Puyver paced back and forth, his expression quite somber.
After Lumian "Teleportation" to the town ahead, he did not show himself immediately, but stayed in the shadows, silently calculating the time.
Only after he was certain that the "Hunter" could reach this place from the woods by running did he actually enter the town, find the Coachman, and return to Number 11 Memorial Hall District Springwater Street.
In the room filled with bookshelves, Lumian looked at Gardner Martin, who was holding a Cigar, and said calmly, "I was attacked."
This can't be hidden from the Boss.
"Hmm?" Gardner Martin asked in a nasal tone.
Lumian spoke very candidly, beginning with his experience of choosing the King Cake after the Count Puyver, only to feel a mad spirit swirling around him, attempting to invade his mind. He continued until he used "Fire Infusion" to destroy and melt the wax Wax Figures, showing the wounds on his hands and face.
What he didn't mention were "he knew why the mad spirit didn't truly take over his body" and the use of the "Torture" gauntlets, attributing the former to reasons he didn't yet understand.
Gardner Martin listened quietly, puffing on his Cigar, not at all surprised that Lumian hadn't been possessed by the madness.
If he sensed surprise or showed doubt, Lumian would immediately "invite" Mr. K over to jointly eliminate this "Iron and Blood Cross Order" stronghold.
Gardner Martin, holding Cigar that was now half empty, smiled and said, "It seems that the official members of our ' Iron and Blood Cross Order ' are more favored by the spirit of That One Ancestors than Puyfer, yet also feared by him."
Does that mean Beyonder suffered from the strange Corruption within the building at No. 13 Market Avenue? Even without the aura of the "Blood Emperor," that mad spirit wouldn't infiltrate any official members of the "Iron and Blood Cross Order" other than me? I don't know if it's true or not. Why don't you give it a try, Boss? Lumian suddenly felt a bit like urging Gardner Martin to play the King Cake Game with Count Puyver.
"Now I've confirmed one thing," Gardner Martin's expression quickly turned serious, "That One Ancestors of the Sauron Family, Vermonda Soren, is not truly dead; he's still alive in a state we can't yet comprehend."
