Lugano glanced at Lumian with a slightly puzzled expression:

You've heard about this Surgery too?

After responding instinctively, he put on a smile:

"As expected of you, you are so knowledgeable and have such wide-ranging interests; you even know about this cutting-edge Surgery."

"It seems you know a lot about this," Lumian said, ignoring Lugano's attempt to curry favor.

Lugano nodded quickly:

"I've read in several magazines that some Doctor believe the essence of this Surgery is to damage the Patient's brain, and it's irreversible. In other words, it may seem to cure the patient's Mad Sickness, but it makes him stupid, permanently calm, and no longer has any emotional fluctuations."

"They believe that if this kind of Surgery isn't used, there's still hope that Mad Sickness can be cured through other methods, but once someone becomes mentally disabled, there's no possibility of a cure."

Intis still has quite a few Doctor with high academic qualifications, who dare to speak the truth, and whose professional ethics are also good... Lumian nodded to himself.

After confirming that Lugano had some knowledge of the medical field, he casually asked, "Any strange medical cases lately?"

Lugano thought about it carefully for a moment, then slowly shook his head and said, "Nothing strange about it."

Just as Lumian was about to change the subject, Lugano added, "Speaking of strange things, a folk custom that's recently become popular on a small scale is quite odd."

"Folklore related to medicine?" Lumian deciphered the hidden meaning in Lugano's words.

With his brown hair and brown eyes, Lugano smiled and replied, "I suppose so."

"It seems that a group of Trier residents believe that the blood shed by death row inmates carries the last, most tenacious strength of life, and that eating Bread dipped in it can cure various diseases. This has angered many columnist Doctor, who call it a retro, bloody, and foolish act, arguing that praying for protection in Church would be more effective."

"How come I've never heard of such a custom?" Lumian felt that the behavior of the citizens of Trier had an indescribable meaning, and was more than just stupidity.

Lugano laughed:

"Boss, this is normal. I'd never heard of it before. It's a folk custom that's only appeared in the last two or three months. It was probably brought by some outsiders, and more and more people are believing in it."

Lumian chatted for a while with the Bounty Hunter had saved up money to buy the "Doctor" Main Ingredient, gaining a vague impression of the medical community in Trier.

Around noon, after having filled his stomach, he turned onto White Coat Street and entered Building No. 3, which served as Apartment building.

During this process, Lumian did not hide his curiosity and specifically examined the exterior of No. 6 White Coat Street, but found no trace left behind.

He knocked on the door of Apartment 601 and tossed the "Lie" earring to Franca Linen-Colored long flaxen hair was simply tied up.

This companion will have to contact the Witch Sect again this afternoon, and will have to transform into her previous appearance.

"Why are you taking so long?" Franca caught the Silver-White ear clip perfectly. "Didn't you receive the information Lady. Hella sent? I've been waiting for you to come and discuss it."

Lumian chuckled:

Why are you in such a hurry than I am?

After closing the door, he sat on the sofa and recounted all the key information and corresponding guesses he had extracted from the documents. Franca occasionally chimed in with her own opinions.

Towards the end, Lumian roughly recounts the descriptions of the medical community and strange customs of Trier given by Bounty Hunter Lugano Toscano.

Franca's expression suddenly turned strange.

"Is there a problem?" Lumian was not surprised but rather pleased.

Franca hummed in agreement.

"The rumor that eating Bread dipped in the blood of death row inmates can cure diseases is very similar to an ancient folk custom in my hometown, but that happened many years ago. Since education became widespread, this kind of folk custom has basically disappeared."

"The original folk custom was that steamed buns stained with the blood of executed prisoners could cure severe lung diseases, provided they were eaten while they were hot."

Lumian raised his right eyebrow upon hearing this.

He said that the strange folk custom gave him an indescribable feeling:

It feels like a prank!

This is the style of April Fool's Day!

"' I Have a Friend ' did this?" Lumian suddenly became a little excited.

A hypnotic "Psychiatrist" could easily allow such a folk custom to emerge and spread without anyone knowing!

Franca nodded solemnly:

"' I Have a Friend ' who is also from my and your Older Sister's Homeland. Otherwise, your Older Sister wouldn't trust him and seek his help for her psychological problems."

"His code name and the languages he speaks prove this point, and apart from him and ' Black Soil,' the other members of ' April Fool's Day ' may not know that ancient folk custom."

"' Loki ' doesn't know either?" Lumian asked in surprise.

"I'm not sure." Franca frowned. "I don't know him well, and he's never revealed that he's from the same hometown. If he hadn't recited those four sections of Honorific Name in the language of my and your Older Sister's Homeland, I wouldn't have known he could do it. I always thought that their group's diary of Emperor Roselle was translated by ' I Have a Friend ' and ' Black Soil '."

Lumian smiled:

"I hope it's just a folk prank by ' I Have a Friend,' I'll go watch the Execution Ground in the Prison District later."

The Prison District, also known as the Red Hat District, is officially designated as No. 4. It is one of the oldest and most Library districts, and is home to Intis's most famous prison, Saint-Marl Prison, from which the district derives its name.

Near Saint-Marl Prison lies one of Trier's busiest Execution Ground — the Rouvois General Execution Ground.

"Be careful, the ' Psychiatrist ' is more cautious than the ' Marionettist '," Franca cautioned.

Although "I Have a Friend" is not Beyonder through the three Pathway of "Seer," "Thief," or "Apprentice," and even with his faith in "Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth," he couldn't detect the seal on Lumian, Lumian still felt he couldn't be careless. He took back the "Lie" earring and subtly altered his appearance—he worried that the Resurrection "Loki" had already communicated with "I Have a Friend" about his and Franca's real appearances.

After Franca got her "Lie" earring back, she asked curiously, "What was that terrifying aura from that day?"

Lumian laughed:

"It all started when Lady. Hella and I were searching for the ' Samaritan Woman Spring.'"

"..." Franca was taken aback at first, then cursed, "Damn it! How many details are you omitting from this whole thing?"

"It depends on when you use it." Lumian briefly mentioned the situation where the aura of the "Blood Emperor" had seeped into his flesh and blood.

Franca had forgotten her anger and carefully examined Lumian's raised right palm, finally noticing the faint marks that looked like they had been squeezed.

"Wow, you actually have the aura of True God on you, even if it's just an empty shell, it's still the aura of True God, and a True God of the same Pathway." Franca exclaimed with envy, wishing she could have one for herself too.

She then looked at Lumian's left hand, which was still wrapped in bandages:

What's on this one?

"There's nothing there, it's just for attracting attention," Lumian replied with a smile.

Franca paused for two seconds:

"You're so cunning! If you were promoted to ' Conspirer,' your digestion speed would be incredibly fast!"

"I hope the result is as good as you wished." Lumian was not modest.

In the afternoon, Lumian took Public Carriage to the Serenzo River, arriving at the Rouvois General Execution Ground in the Prison District.

One of the great pleasures of the people of Trier is watching Execution. Although it's not the weekend, quite a few people have gathered here, and there are even many vendors setting up stalls or weaving through the crowd, selling food and drinks.

Among them were brightly dressed Streetwalker looking for business, as well as a group of writers who came specifically to stroll around.

If it weren't for the sign at the intersection that read "Rouvois General Execution Ground" and the gallows and guillotine standing in the distance, Lumian would have wondered if he had come to the wrong place and entered some bustling market nearby.

Stepping on the rammed earth ground, Lumian hid himself in the crowd and strolled around the Execution Ground as if he were browsing a market.

He didn't find anyone suspicious, but he did see a dozen or twenty men and women, each carrying Bread of bread, crowding at the front. Their clothes were all old and some could even be described as shabby.

After a while, the crowd suddenly surged and squeezed to both sides of the road leading to the Execution Ground to welcome the procession from Saint-Marl Prison.

Lumian didn't join in the fun, but she heard cheers, whistles, and Women shouting "I do!"

The latter is not a marriage proposal, but a satirical commentary on past customs. In the Classical Era before Emperor Roselle, if a condemned prisoner was proposed to by a citizen on his way from prison to the execution ground, and he accepted, he would be granted a pardon and live. However, not all condemned prisoners accepted; some valued appearance highly, while others valued dignity and chose to uphold their beliefs through death.

The two most famous cases are: a handsome death row inmate rejected Women's marriage proposal, considering her appearance a Nightmare; and a beautiful girl, faced with an executioner's advances, gave up on saving herself, arguing that it was an insult to Love and marriage.

Lumian squeezed to the front of the crowd and saw two death row inmates standing in the rammed earth Firing Squad.

They were all relatively young, no more than thirty years old, wearing uniform prison clothes—red short-sleeved shirts, yellow trousers, and green hats, with iron balls dragging under their feet and their hands bound behind their backs with Iron Chain.

The two Men, one with black hair and blue eyes, and the other with brown hair and brown eyes, were both quite good-looking, but their gazes towards each other were filled with hatred.

Seeing that the executioners had arrived at their designated positions and raised their rifles, the two condemned prisoners shouted simultaneously:

Long Live Freedom!

"Restore the Glory!"

After shouting, the two men glared at each other angrily, then fell to the ground amidst the bangs of gunfire, blood gushing out.

Those carrying Bread became excited, but were blocked by the soldiers in front and unable to rush into the Firing Squad.

Once the condition of the two death row inmates was confirmed, the soldiers marched away in formation, while the citizens, carrying Bread, rushed frantically towards the blood-stained patch of rammed earth.

Lumian didn't look at them, but instead observed his surroundings to see who was enjoying this absurd comedy.
