The new priest
What is Maple Meyer doing back in the Market District?
The question arose in the minds of both Lumian and Franca at the same time; they both sensed a lurking danger.
Could it be that Maiper genuinely loves Suzanne Matisse and wants to avenge her?
Even so, the best way to get revenge is to tell the other Core Member the "Bliss Society" the real "culprit" and the Concealment secrets!
Without mobilizing and relying on the strength of the entire organization, relying solely on one's own efforts will only indirectly help Lumian, this enemy!
Looking at Beatrice's pale face and Cavern eyes, Lumian tried to put himself in Maip Meier's shoes and consider his reasons for doing so:
"Maip Meyer is a ' Awarded ' of Sequence 6 in hetushu. com. com, possessing an uncontrollable desire for affirmation from others and a strong drive for achievement..."
"Given his exclusion and alienation from other Core Member of the ' Bliss Society ', he did indeed have the motivation to make significant contributions on his own and seek genuine recognition..."
"Although telling Beatrice and the others about the ' Shadow Tree ' was a contribution, it was nothing compared to making amends for his previous mistakes single-handedly and pleasing the ' Mother Tree of Desire ' to the greatest extent possible. The latter would earn him more recognition..."
"It's hard for Ordinary Person to understand this kind of awkward, competitive thinking, but it's not surprising at all when it happens to ' Awarded '..."
The question now is, what exactly does Maipe Mayer want to do to gain recognition?
"Seeking revenge on me? Although he has little hope in a direct confrontation, Concealment in the shadows and suddenly influencing me at a crucial moment to deliver a fatal blow can still pose a real threat to me. After all, I don't have a Stand ability, and my physical strength hasn't changed much compared to Ordinary Person. A Revolver can take me down."
"But Maip Meyer must have heard a lot about me from Suzanne Matisse, and he probably knows that Angel is sealed within me. Isn't he afraid that after my death, the Corruption will erupt and drag him down with him?"
"If he and the books die, how will they satisfy their desire for recognition?"
"Or perhaps, the thought of dying alongside such a powerful enemy, leaving the other members of the ' Bliss Society ' both shocked and impressed, and filled with genuine remorse, gave him a moment of self-ecstasy that brought him to tears, before he was driven by desire to die?"
"Or perhaps he also wants to perform a sacrifice similar to Suzanne Matisse's? Hmm. Gaining the approval of the ' Mother Tree of Desire ' is a higher and more worthwhile form of recognition."
"But the ' Shadow Tree ' has been severely damaged and won't recover for a long time. How can he make a sacrifice?"
Lumian couldn't figure out Maip Meyer's plans and intentions no matter how hard he tried; he could only vaguely grasp his motives.
Regardless, Lumian felt a surge of irritation and violence at the thought that a pair of cold eyes might be lurking among the pedestrians on the street, the tenants nearby, the customers in the Dance Hall, and the vendors everywhere, and at the thought that familiar faces around him might be replaced by Maipe Meyer without his knowledge. He wished he could immediately drag that "Actor" out.
The combined Negative Effect of the Contract, items, Brand on him made his emotions less stable than they had been recently.
Franca didn't think too much about it. Although the "Magic Mirror Spiritism lasted much longer than a regular " Spiritism " spell, it wasn't completely unlimited and was still limited to minutes. She didn't want to waste time on analysis that could be done later.
She continued to question Beatrice Ankoul:
"Among all the members of the Bliss Society, who was Maple Meyer closest to?"
Beatrice's voice grew increasingly ethereal:
"He was closest to the members in the Market District, but they were either dead or arrested."
She was really being ostracized... Franca asked, without much hope, "Who in the ' Bliss Society ' is most likely to know Maipe Meyer's whereabouts and plans?"
Beatrice said Aura of Death, "Nobody knows, not even the new High Priest."
Franca had no choice but to change the question:
Who is the new High Priest?
Beatrice Eyes eerily Cavern, replied, "It's Hibel."
"What is her true identity?" Franca pressed.
Beatrice's face, now visible on the Mirror's surface, appeared even more transparent than before.
"I don't know, she joined later. By then we were no longer just Women 'Women organization; we started to be careful to Concealment our original identities."
"Hibel is probably still a Stage Actor."
The exterior wall of Adina's Apartment.
Blanche Soren clung there silently, like a giant black spider.
Through the curtains, she could only see two dark figures not far apart, and the sounds she heard were even more indistinct and distant than before; she could only vaguely make out that they were both female voices.
Adina and the fake Teresa are still chatting? No, at this distance, with the "Assassin's" hearing, even through the closed Glass Window and thick curtains, I can hear them clearly... What exactly is going on inside? Blanche Soren grew increasingly worried and curious, and tried to extend the "Unseen Spider Silk" through the crack in the window.
When the "Magic Mirror Spiritism" reached its limit, Franca Rationality ended its maintenance, watching Beatrice Ankoul's figure disappear from the Mirror's surface.
She wasn't too disappointed because she already had real information about several Core Member of the "Bliss Society" and the time, place, and manner of their weekly meetings.
But it seems unnecessary to track them down personally. They don't know anything about Charles's problem, and even if the "Rose School" finds them, they won't get any useful information... Franca glanced at Lumian, put away the Mirror, and deactivated the "Spirit Wall".
Amidst the howling Wind Sound, the two simultaneously noticed movement at the window, and saw a dark shadow that appeared to be human.
--The "Spirit Wall" isolates movement and reduces interference, but it also affects their perception and monitoring of the surrounding environment.
Franca's figure suddenly disappeared from where she stood, while Lumian took a few steps to the side, avoiding the direct view of the window.
They didn't launch an attack immediately because they had a vague idea of who was outside.
With a whoosh, Blanche, who had quietly pried open the window, saw the curtains "self-removing" to the sides, suddenly exposing her figure.
Just as she was about to react, she saw the face that Franca Roland had disguised herself as that night.
Their eyes met, and there was a silence of about ten seconds.
Finally, Blanche came to her senses and asked with concern, "Where's Adina?"
"She's asleep." Franca pointed to the carpet near the window.
Blanche glanced at her female companion a few times, then looked at the motionless fake Teresa, and asked the question again:
"Is it resolved?"
"It's resolved," Franca replied calmly.
The spiritual path has been completed!
Blanche's gaze shifted back and forth between Franca and Lumian in the corner several times, and she asked with a mixture of surprise and confusion, "When did you make your move?"
Before the curtains were fully drawn... Franca had intended to answer that way, but realizing it would Charles some of their fighting styles, she quickly changed her mind and said with a smile, "Guess."
Blanche Soren recalled the faint sounds she had sensed earlier, but found no obvious signs of a battle.
This made her even more astonished:
This wild, untamed Witch and her young Lover are truly formidable?
Are more diverse experiences and more varied gains really that useful?
Feeling the Pain of jealousy, Blanche jumped into the room and closed the window.
She wasn't worried about being attacked by us at all... Was it because she lacked experience, or because she had great confidence in the Witch's various substitutes, or perhaps she had something else to rely on? Lumian watched coldly, ignoring her.
Franca chuckled, "We've gleaned some information, including the current High Priest of the ' Bliss Society ' and some of its Core Member..."
She recounted all the information she had received from Beatrice.
Blanche grew increasingly astonished as she listened.
They actually managed to get so much information out of them?
This is going to take a lot of time!
When exactly did they start their attack, and how long did it take to resolve the battle?
They can't expect the fake Teresa to be suddenly attacked and killed the moment she enters the room and gets close to the window, can they?
Based on previous observations, this member of the "Bliss Society" should be equivalent to Sequence 6 "Awarded," on par with himself and Franca Roland, and above Charles Dubois, who is suspected to be Sequence 7 "Pyromaniac"!
Franca ignored Blanche's reaction and continued speaking, "I'm glad to tell you that our problem is simpler than we thought and has been resolved. Now it's your turn. Heh, Beatrice isn't the only ' Bliss Society ' Core Member eyeing the Red House Café."
She said this in the hope that the Witch Sect would "take over" the purge of the remaining members of the Bliss Society.
"Are you Instigation me?" Blanche retorted sharply.
Franca replied with a smile, "No, just a reminder."
While they were talking, Lumian returned to Beatrice's Corpse, squatted down, and began to examine it more carefully.
This time, he found Banknotes and Gold Coin worth 1,500 Felkine, as well as a neatly folded piece of paper.
Lumian opened the note and saw it written in Intis language: "Collect the painting from the Hostel within three days."
Hostel... What Hostel? What painting? This was a deal made by the real Art Dealer Teresa, but the receipt fell into the hands of the imposter? Where is the real Teresa now... I forgot to ask about this earlier... Lumian stared at the note in his hand, many thoughts flashing through his mind.
He stood up, intending to ask Blanche Soren if she knew the real Teresa's situation. Although Blanche knew Franca was Instigation her, she had to admit that what Franka said made a lot of sense.
She looked down at Adina, trying to wake her companion.
At that moment, the three of them stopped what they were doing and turned their gaze to Beatrice Ankoul's Corpse.
The light there seemed to have dimmed a little, and the Corpse seemed to have undergone some subtle Change.
