A beating
The Order of Abundance's headquarters in Santa Port was located on the edge of the city, near the suburbs. It occupied an entire street, had its own fields and orchards, and raised various kinds of livestock. When the monks and nuns were not on duty, they worked here and were self-sufficient.
Lugano, holding Ludwig's hand, looked up at the green Vines Entanglement the Monastery's spire and the Life Holy Emblem surrounded by them—a simple drawing of a baby amidst symbols of Wheat Ears, flowers, and springs—and said to Combat Nuns Noelia, who had approached him, "I was attacked. I just finished giving my statement at the Police Station."
Noelia, wearing Black-Backed White Patterns that symbolized both religion and combat, frowned slightly and asked, "Where is Louis Berri?"
She didn't ask about the details of Lugano's attack, but was more interested in where the Great Adventurer Louis Berri had gone.
Lugano shook his head and answered sincerely:
"I don't know either. He just told me to come here after I finished giving my statement and tell you that I was attacked."
Noelia's expression immediately turned serious.
In the port area, in front of the sturdy, gray-black building housing the Fishing Guild.
Wearing a white shirt, Black Waistcoat, and brown trousers, and sporting Golden-Yellow Straw Hat, Lumian walked step by step outside the gate.
The two guards stationed here were not armed; like many of the passersby, they carried Straight Sword on their backs and Dagger at their waists.
"Who are you looking for?" They both reached out and stopped Lumian.
Lumian, unable to understand the Highland Language, simply pulled out his Revolver and fired it into the sky.
With a bang of a gunshot, he stepped between two guards into the Fishing Guild's Castle- like house.
The two security guards looked at each other, hesitated, and did not stop them.
One of them ran towards the port police station, while the other turned and sprinted into the dark gray building, trying to report to his superior and ask him to decide what to do.
Lumian carried his Revolver and walked at a leisurely pace, passing through the hall amidst the flustered staff and the ambiguous glances cast from different directions, and ascended the stairs leading to the committee member's office.
As he approached the second floor, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.
The figure had bronze skin, was broad and sturdy, with black hair and blue eyes; it was the young man who had helped Juan Oro, the president of the Fishing Guild, earlier.
He is That One old man's grandson, Fernandez Oro.
Fernandez looked down at Lumian, who was climbing up the guild step by step, and said through gritted teeth, "You actually dared to Forced Entry the guild!"
Lumian completely ignored him, neither quickening nor slowing his pace as he walked towards the second-floor entrance.
Fernandez composed himself, slightly hunching his back, a glint of light appearing in his eyes.
Suddenly, Lumian felt the surrounding light dim down considerably.
At the same time, an invisible force pressed down on his head, and his feet were bound and wrapped in layers of restraints.
This made him feel suddenly shorter, and his body swayed slightly, while Fernandez seemed to grow taller, blocking the light seeping into the corridor and casting a deep shadow.
Thump!
He took a step forward, clenched his right fist, and smashed it towards Lumian's head.
A whooshing Wind Sound arose, and the fist, like Hammer, accelerated continuously as if attracted by a magnet.
Lumian raised his head, and something inside him exploded, breaking the seal.
His thighs suddenly thickened, stretching his loose brown trousers, making him appear taller, causing his Sleeve and trouser legs to ride up and sit at the bulging muscles.
Bang!
He retaliated with his left fist, which, like Cannonball, slammed into Fernandez's incoming punch.
The two collided with a deafening sound, causing the stairs to tremble and shake.
Fernandez staggered back two steps as if he couldn't withstand the immense force, but instead of fear, his face revealed a hint of joy.
As he retreated, his Eyes became extremely deep, yet they also held a hint of brilliance.
He raised his left hand, and Ghostly Green light quickly condensed on his unusually rough fingertips.
The light transformed into a ray, silently heading towards Lumian, who had been briefly frozen in place due to the previous collision.
Fernandez chose close combat from the start to create an opportunity for the ray that could damage the human body structure, quickly weaken the target, and cause internal injuries.
The Ghostly Green ray of danger was almost as fast as light, and Lumian, who had failed to dodge in time, could only watch helplessly as it struck his chest and abdomen.
But the Ghostly Green ray passed straight Past, hitting only an Phantom.
After exchanging blows with Fernandez using the power he had accumulated as a "Ascetic," Lumian quickly bent backward, standing in an arched position to avoid any possible sneak attacks.
During this process, he also used the "Face of Niser" to create an illusion of himself still standing upright, based on his lower body!
The Ghostly Green rays gradually dispersed and disappeared into the wall at the corner of the staircase.
A layer of Reddish White, flames suddenly rose from Lumian's body.
He transformed into a Fireball, hurtling towards Fernandez, who had just regained his footing.
Fernandez's pupils seemed to shrink slightly, as if stimulated by the intense firelight.
He suddenly fell to the side, his right fist clenched, and pulled downwards.
Lumian suddenly felt an invisible force pulling him down to the ground.
He remained calm and composed, dissipating the flames to reveal his figure, his feet landing on the corridor floor.
Clang!
With his still massive body, he stomped heavily, and amidst the slight sway of the building, rushed to Fernandez, who had just stood up, and slammed his left fist, which was glowing with Reddish White light, towards his opponent.
Fernandez didn't have time to use his Extraordinary Ability and could only raise his arms to hastily block.
Boom!
A burst of fire erupted as Lumian punched the young man, sending him flying backward and crashing into a half-open side office, smashing the light-colored Desk.
Taking advantage of Fernandez's dizziness and body aches, Lumian strode after him, rushed into the office, and once again swung his left fist.
Reddish White Flames suddenly ignited on the knuckles, illuminating the entire room with extraordinary brightness.
Boom!
The punch landed squarely on Fernandez's chest, creating an explosive sound.
The scattered sparks were pulled apart by an unseen force, failing to completely shatter Fernandez's chest, but instead causing it to cave in, making the target's vision go black.
Lumian stopped, staring expressionlessly at the semi-conscious Fernandez, and raised his left hand.
A massive, Reddish-White Fireball rapidly condensed and compressed, poised to Acting the Reaper.
The next second, the Fireball flew out and locked onto Fernandez.
Suddenly, it floated upwards, passed the target, and crashed into the wall behind the Desk.
Boom!
The Blazing White and red flames shattered the Glass Window, breached the walls, and sprayed outside the Fishing Guild building, rising into Burning clouds in the air.
Almost simultaneously, Lumian felt himself arrive in a Gloom and deep void, dotted with twinkling stars in the distance.
He saw Juan Oro, the deeply wrinkled old man, once again.
Just then, Noelia ran into the Square where the wave Statues stood and shouted at the broken building with the broken Library window frame lying on the ground, "Stop!"
Upon hearing the voice of the Combat Nuns, Lumian sighed regretfully, turned his Revolver, and tucked it back into his Underarm Holster. Juan Oro in front of him and the surrounding void vanished.
A few minutes later, Juan Oro, leaning on his cane, walked out of the greyish-black building of the Fishing Guild and said to Noelia in a deep voice, "He attacked Fernandez, you must arrest him!"
Noelia glanced at the president of the Fishing Guild and said coldly, "So, should we also ask Fernandez to go to the police station to assist in the investigation of the shooting on Aquinas Street?"
"Calm down, all of you. Work together to maintain order in Santa Port. Otherwise, do you really think the Church can't handle you?"
Finally, the Combat Nuns looked at Lumian and warned him in the same way, to show her impartiality.
Juan Oro paused for a moment before saying, "I know nothing about the Aquinas Street shooting."
After saying that, he turned around, leaned on his cane, and walked unsteadily back to the Fishing Guild. Several staff members came up to him and helped him up.
Seeing this, Noelia led her combat squad to "escort" Lumian away from there.
Once outside the port area, the Combat Nuns instructed her team to slow down and keep their distance from each other, while she walked side by side with Lumian.
"You're putting us in a difficult position by being so forceful. Order, understand? The facade of order must be maintained." Noelia rubbed her temples. "Luckily, you didn't actually kill Fernandez, otherwise, I would have had to make the arrest."
Lumian chuckled and said, "If I really wanted to kill Fernandez, he wouldn't have waited for you to stop the fight, nor for Juan Oro to save him."
That's the truth.
Noelia paused for a moment, pondered for a few seconds, and said, "Show those who are watching your attitude, your strength, and your confidence?"
"And at the same time, did you let Juan Oro misjudge your strength based on this battle?"
Lumian didn't answer, but smiled and looked straight ahead, asking, "Where did all those ' Governor of the Sea ' end up?"
Noelia paused for a moment before saying, "On the surface, they are sent to different places, but according to our observations, these ' Governor of the Sea ' mysteriously disappear within four or five months to no more than three years, leaving no trace of fighting at the scene, and their families are unharmed."
"It's returned to the Sea on its own?" Lumian chuckled. "See? Isn't this what I gained from beating up Fernandez?"
The Church the Earth Mother is now willing to reveal more information.
Noelia wasn't angry; she smiled and said, "No one puts all their chips on the line at the beginning."
"Once you've investigated to a certain extent, we'll provide you with even more information."
Lumian gazed at the azure Sea to the side, thought for a moment, and said, "You haven't yet stated what your ' Earth Mother ' Church actually intends to achieve in this matter."
Noelia's Eyes flickered, and she suddenly raised her hand, pointing at the pedestrians arguing ahead, and shouted, "No street fighting!"
Before she finished speaking, she had already run Past with her team, leaving Lumian alone on the spot.
Lumian chuckled and slowly shook his head.
Late Night, Lumian was about to take off his clothes and go to bed when he suddenly heard the "Knight of Swords '" deep, husky voice, as if he were suppressing something:
"We've found clues to the whereabouts of two targets."
