The true target
Under the Crimson Moonlight, the crew members, like wandering Corpse, staggered onto the Dock and headed toward the various buildings that lay prostrate in the darkness.
Within seven or eight minutes, they disappeared into different places.
Immediately afterwards, Norfie and Batna saw clusters of Pitch-Black emerging from the edge of the cabin, while Paleness or eerie green Flames ignited throughout the deck.
From the Pitch-Black and the Flames, figures crawled out.
Some of them were dressed in tattered clothes, their skin visibly rotting; others were nothing but White Bone, with only a few bits of flesh and blood clinging to them, and Paleness firelight shining from their Eye Sockets.
These are all Corpse!
Soon, the half-decomposed Corpse in the filthy jacket raised the sails, the skeleton with part of its sternum missing stowed the heavy anchor, and the other Corpse also took their positions, steering the Sailing Ship slowly away from the harbor.
Gazing at the rotting flesh, Paleness bones, and eerie Flames of varying colors, Batna and Norfie had the illusion of entering a novel.
Horror novels! Ghost novels!
"Navigator, it's time for you to get to work." Charnem's voice woke Norfie.
Inside the residence of the "Governor of the Sea".
Lumian leaned against the lower part of the wall without Statues, his gaze sweeping over the other Subdeacon in the hall, including Juan Oro.
He was no longer certain that any of them were innocent, as they could all be the "Faceless" in disguise.
In the actions that followed, the only person he could completely trust was himself.
An hour finally Past in an indescribable silence and stillness. This time, Lumian took the initiative to go into the Basement with Juan Oro and retrieved the "Sea Queen's Ring" to complete the "Veneration of the Ancestors" ritual.
The Ring was indeed on the broken Stone Platform, not missing, but Lumian couldn't be sure it was real and hadn't been switched. He could only say that the pattern, symbols, and structure were all correct, and the Basement was found to be without any other occupants.
Despite appearing calm on the surface but being tense inside, Lumian patiently waited until six in the morning, feeling his mental and physical fatigue vanish instantly.
Two hours later, Simon, the current "Governor of the Sea," left the watch room with four "Sea Maiden" and headed towards the building's main entrance.
Lumian and Juan Oro, along with Subdeacon, immediately rose and followed behind.
The two-story Ceremonial Ship, adorned with colorful decorations, was docked at the Dock of Milo Village. The villagers had spontaneously taken on the role of guards, stopping anyone who dared to approach.
As Lumian climbed the gangway to the deck, he felt as if every window, every flower, and every mast of the Ceremonial Ship was casting an invisible gaze upon him, scrutinizing him from head to toe. This was exactly the same feeling he had when the Statues in the "Governor of the Sea" mansion came to life.
He calmly walked through those gazes and, following Juan Oro's suggestion, stood at the left front edge of the deck.
This is where he, Brian Subdeacon, should be.
Bang, bang, bang!
At the Dock in Milo Village, cannons fired confetti, spraying out large amounts of colorful confetti.
In a joyous and celebratory atmosphere, the Ceremonial Ship slowly sailed away from the area, first circling around Santa Port to receive cheers and blessings from the crowd, before heading towards the distant Sea.
Juan Oro, disguised as Jorge, acts as the Navigator, guiding the ship through a vast, blue ocean with few landmarks, sometimes turning left, sometimes right, and sometimes changing direction.
Nearly an hour later, under the clear and bright sky, a thick fog suddenly filled the area around the Ceremonial Ship.
Whoosh!
Depths the fog, the waves rise high, like Mountain Peak. No matter what kind of ship it is, if it is struck by them, it will inevitably capsize or be smashed to pieces.
The "Governor of the Sea," the "Sea Maiden," some Sailor, and two Subdeacon, who were participating in the Sea-Sacrifice Segment for the first time, were all terrified by the horrific sight, and their faces turned Pale White.
Juan Oro, who had extensive experience with Sea Sacrifice, directed the Sailor without any emotional fluctuation, as if they were watching children's toys, guiding the ship through the thick fog and amidst the exaggerated waves along the only safe route.
After an unknown amount of time, the fog suddenly dissipated, the giant waves Miracle calmed down, and a sapphire-like ocean came into Lumian's view.
This Sea Area seems to have no boundaries, but the distance and the sky are gray, and only a little Sunlight can penetrate.
Inside the Solo Hotel in Santa Port.
Lugano stood at the window, watching the citizens once again form a celebratory procession, moving through the streets and alleys, spreading joy.
He had already taken Ludwig to see the Ritual of the "Governor of the Sea" Colorful Flower Ceremonial Ship leaving the harbor and to participate in two spontaneously organized celebrations. He didn't return to the Suite until almost morning tea time, where he gave Ludwig the food he had bought on the way and prepared in advance.
"We can still go for a stroll later. There will be another celebration when the ' Governor of the Sea ' returns. It's a pity that with such a child, I can't even reciprocate the enthusiasm of the Feynapotter ladies..." Lugano thought with some regret.
Just then, he heard a knocking sound at the door.
"Who?" Lugano, with several years of experience Bounty Hunter, became alert.
"It's me." A soft, melodious voice came from outside the door.
Lugano recognized the voice as That One of Madame Giorgia, Ruvio Paco's wife.
She came to see the Boss? Has something happened to the Paco Family again? Lugano glanced at Ludwig, who was eating intently, then strode to the door and opened it.
Unlike her usual bright and flashy dresses, Giorgia wore a long black Long Dress that resembled that of an old grandmother or widow.
At this moment, her long brown hair, which was tied up, was somewhat disheveled, and her thick-lashed, azure Eyes held an undisguised fear and panic.
"And what about Mr. Louis Berri?" the lady asked.
"He went to participate in various celebrations related to the Sea-Praying Ritual," Lugano said, using the excuse Lumian had made up.
He looked at the somewhat helpless Mrs. Giorgia and instinctively asked with concern, "What happened?"
"Out, out..." Giorgia said in a panicked and terrified voice, "I've discovered the true identity of that Humanoid Lizard!"
That Humanoid Lizard? The Humanoid Lizard that the Boss killed? As Lugano pondered this, Giorgia suddenly threw herself into his arms.
The fragrance immediately wafted into Lugano's nostrils, preventing him from pushing the lady away right away.
Giorgia said in a low, but unmistakably fearful voice, "That Humanoid Lizard is... my husband Ruvio Paco!"
"Huh?" Lugano was both surprised and bewildered.
Giorgia Teeth and said, "What you saw was... it was fake!"
Fake? Someone impersonated Ruvio Paco, while the real Ruvio Paco turned into Humanoid Lizard and was killed by the Boss? As soon as this speculation flashed through Lugano's mind and in the book, his thoughts suddenly slowed down, and everything in front of him seemed to be covered by a layer of frosted glass.
He instinctively struggled, but Giorgia held him firmly with considerable strength, interrupting him with various small movements.
Ludwig, engrossed in gnawing on a skewer of grilled Octopus at the dining table, seemed completely oblivious to the silent Mutation at the doorway.
In a Suite diagonally across the corridor, Ruvio Paco sat quietly in Armchair, a faint smile on his face.
He deliberately orchestrated the Humanoid Lizard incident to have Louis Berri handle it, firstly to confirm the other party's identity, and secondly to leave a loophole that the Paco Family was unable to deal with a weak Monster, so that others would not suspect that it was the work of the "Faceless," thus misleading his target.
However, he later abandoned his plan to deal with Louis Berri and did not activate the corresponding trap.
It wasn't that he failed to confirm the other party was the target; the Mystery aura emanating from Lumian Lee's chest might fool others, but not him. Rather, it was that he had a new idea.
The overall actions on April Fool's Day's Day may not be the same as Loki's personal goals!
His current target is that little boy named Ludwig.
To him, a sealed Half-God -level powerhouse was nothing short of Celestial Worthy Gift!
There could be no one more suitable for his Ritual object.
Therefore, he pointed out the Mutation in the Sea, continuing to confuse Lumian Lee while making the other party associate the concepts of "sealing" and "Steal," so that he could understand what the prank was all about Last Year, and take the initiative to board the Ceremonial Ship to go to the Sea Sacrifice site, thus diverting this opponent, whose strength was obviously not weak, away and having another force hold him back.
Next, he will put on a grand performance in front of a large crowd of Santa Port residents!
On the calm, waveless, azure Sea, four "Sea Maiden" performed a brief sacrificial dance, while the Sailor brought out Sacrifice such as Lamb, roosters, and bull heads from the Cabin and piled them at the bow of the ship.
Juan Oro, who is in charge of the "Sea Queen's Ring," approaches the "Governor of the Sea," waiting to present this marriage proposal gift to the Sea's groom.
Lumian looked around, wary of everyone present.
Any one of them could suddenly erupt, posing as "the Wandering Poet," "the Madwoman," "Ultraman," "Loki," "Hisoka," or Marionette.
The graceful and rhythmic dance soon came to an end, and Juan Oro took out the uniquely shaped Gold Ring and handed it to Simon Giaro, the incoming "Governor of the Sea".
Just then, a person walked out of the Cabin, openly and without any attempt to conceal himself.
She was a Women, dressed in a black Nun's Habit and wearing a matching hat; her expression was calm yet tinged with sadness.
The surrounding Sailor did not stop the Women, as if she did not exist.
Upon seeing this, Lumian's pupils dilated suddenly, and his gaze narrowed sharply.
That's the Source of Mad Sickness!
That was the lost Humanoid Sealed Artifact of the Church the Eternal Blazing Sun!
In an instant, Lumian suddenly understood two things:
It is said that the "Governor of the Sea" transformed into the "Death Navigator" coincidentally appeared near the "Flying Bird" and stirred up a giant wave;
The Humanoid Sealed Artifact unconsciously boarded a ship and set sail, choosing the same destination as itself— Santa Port.
There are reasons for all of this!
