"Deception"
Upon hearing the young man's words, the "Wandering Poet" felt his blood rush to his head.
Did they spend over a thousand years just to create a seemingly plausible rule to deceive people?
What a boring antique Swindler!
The Wandering Poet blurted out, "Are the patterns on the Altar and the surrounding decorations also fake?"
The young man in the dark blue Robe of the Subdeacon chuckled softly:
"Would you be fooled if it weren't real?"
"Moreover, I occasionally go out, and on those occasions it takes my place to ' Steal ' power. Of course, given the spirituality generated by the Worshipper around me, it can only bestow it once a year."
By the end, the young man's smile had become even more pronounced.
The "Wandering Poet" felt a throbbing vein in his forehead, as if he were being mocked.
According to the claim that the other party can grant the ability to "Steal" at will, the "Sea Queen's Ring" should be complete and possess all functions. So why was the success of the Sea-Praying Ritual delayed for so long?
The "Wandering Poet" couldn't understand what was going on, so he turned around and ran towards the exit.
He had considered begging for mercy and surrendering on the spot, but he could do those things later. Now, he wanted to take a gamble, hoping that the other party's claim of "occasionally going out" was Lie, and that he was actually trapped in the Altar, unable to go anywhere or affect the people around him. In this situation, if he was intimidated and dared not escape, he would fall into the other party's trap, which would be equivalent to being cheated out of his freedom and Future.
With a few quick steps, the "Wandering Poet" reached the top of the stairs and ran up.
He grew increasingly delighted as he ran, because the young man with the Monocle did not stop him in any way.
I made the right bet!
"He's at the heart of that Altar; he can't leave!"
With a thud, the scene of Sunlight streaming down the first floor came into view for the "Wandering Poet".
In his ecstasy, his thoughts suddenly shattered, as if the surrounding darkness had been pierced by light, breaking into pieces.
The "Wandering Poet" sat up abruptly, still shaken, to find himself lying in the servants' quarters of the "Governor of the Sea's " mansion, and had not left.
He looked around and heard cheers and cannon salutes outside.
"Did I just have a dream? A spiritual warning that made me realize there's something wrong with the plan?" The "Wandering Poet" had only had these two thoughts for a moment before immediately abandoning the corresponding judgment. "No, how could I possibly sleep during the Sea-Praying Ritual? I started dreaming after hearing the faint footsteps in the room?"
The "Wandering Poet" stood up, slung his backpack over his shoulder, and tentatively pushed open the door, entering the corridor.
He wasn't so smug now that he didn't have to take too much risk or fight anyone in the whole plan, because it meant that he wouldn't be taken care of in terms of item distribution, he couldn't just "Teleportation" away, and it would be difficult for him to revert to his original appearance or disguise himself as someone else.
Upon reaching the corridor, the "Wandering Poet" saw the "Little Demon" emerge from the shadows and begin a strange dance in celebration.
He didn't "communicate" with these Sea creatures, but knew that their intelligence level was roughly equivalent to that of an ordinary dog. They could be tamed and driven, but couldn't communicate directly. However, what was amazing was that the "Little Demon" had the ability to Recording and reproduce human speech, even though they themselves didn't understand what it meant. Moreover, they could also receive signals transmitted by their collaborators, as long as both parties were within a hundred meters of each other.
The "Little Demon" also ignored the "Wandering Poet," because the Sea-Praying Ritual had been successful, and according to the prior agreement, the fake "Governor of the Sea" could leave on his own.
The "Wandering Poet" left the "Governor of the Sea's " mansion and found that the guards at the gate did not kneel down to thank him for the Gift as they had "before." The villagers of Milo Village at the Dock were the same. Except for a very few who shouted "The Sea-Praying Ritual was a success" from the bottom of their hearts, the rest just followed the trend and shouted a couple of times to express their joy. In comparison, they preferred to set off ceremonial cannons.
Sure enough, it was all a dream. The villagers' reactions in the dream were far too exaggerated... You see, based on past experience with the Sea-Praying Ritual, only members of the Fishing Guild and a few people with strong Sea bloodlines can sense the arrival of the Sea's Gift. Others with Sea-Blooded will not have any tangible physical sensations. They will only slowly notice that they have become a little stronger after a period of time, or the Change may be too subtle to be noticed. If this were not the case, the failure of Last Year's Sea-Praying Ritual could not have been kept secret from the citizens of Santa Port and would have only circulated within the core circle... The "Wandering Poet" quickly determined the nature of what had happened earlier by taking advantage of the surrounding environment.
He didn't dare relax, nor did he "go" to the Dock to watch the villagers being Fooling. Instead, he turned directly onto the road leading to the town of Santa Port.
Just as the "Wandering Poet" stepped out of the ancient village, he saw a person turn out from the front.
The man was over 2.4 meters tall, dressed in a simple Flax Robe with an attached Hood, and holding a large magic wand.
"' Gandalf '..." The Wandering Poet's heart tightened, and he called out.
Having just Dream, and now being blocked again, he thought he had been exposed, so he didn't put on any act.
Gandalf, the president of the "Curly-Haired Baboon Research Society," paused for a moment, then let out a low laugh:
"Are you kidding me?"
"He... he's not sure who I am?" The Wandering Poet " froze, wishing he could slap himself.
Inside the Seabed Spaceship, in a room resembling Metallic Beehive.
After failing to catch the "Madwoman" twice, Mr. K's body suddenly grew to a huge size, reaching nearly three meters in height.
In other words, he wasn't wearing any actual clothing at the moment; the Blood-Colored cloak on his body was made from his own flesh and blood. Otherwise, even the loosest Robe would have been torn apart by this sudden movement.
At the same time, Mr. K's skin turned dark and dull, as if it had transformed into a thick and hard armor. Curved Goat Horns covered with Evil patterns grew from his head, and a pair of giant bat-like wings Entanglement with crimson and blue Flames appeared on his back.
A strong smell of Sulfur then wafted out.
As Sequence 5 "Shepherd" of the "Secret Supplicant" Pathway, Mr. K's core ability is "herding," which allows him to absorb the souls of others, combining Beyonder Characteristic or Gift Power into his body and driving them in a unique way, much like herding Lamb for the Deity.
Each "Shepherd" can shepherd up to seven souls, but can only command one at a time. In that state, the "Shepherd" can only use their own Beyond Ability and the three abilities of the corresponding soul—which are chosen by the shepherd when they first begin "shepherding" and cannot be changed once determined.
The most terrifying thing about the "Shepherd" is that they can "herd" spirits that have reached the level of Half-God. Such "Shepherd" can fight against Saint for a period of time.
Mr. K is currently using the "Demon" of the Herding faction, having initially chosen the abilities "Demonization," "Sulfur Fireball," and "Magma Sword."
The reason why Mr. K doesn't want the most representative "Danger Premonition" of the "Demon" is because he believes that it can only work when he commands the "Demon" spirit, and he can't normally keep "herding" running all the time. Anyway, if there is any great danger, God will give a revelation. If God doesn't give one, it must be because he has done something wrong and needs to be punished.
As Mr. K's enormous Bat Wings unfolded, clusters of pale blue Fireball condensed, numbering a dozen or twenty.
They indiscriminately bombarded every corner of the Metallic Beehive, creating a complete coverage to deal with the "Madwoman" who was "Flash" everywhere.
Rumble!
An explosion, mixed with fire and poison, raged outwards, shattering the metal cells and tearing apart the nascent Batins Black Insect, "Little Demon," and other creatures.
The "Madwoman" stopped as soon as the "Sulfur Fireball" condensed.
Wearing Blood-Colored Long Dress, her face covered with clumps of pure flesh and blood, she had a phantom book slowly turning in her Eyes, while faint chanting could be heard around her.
She pulled out a Dagger, suddenly knelt down on one knee, and plunged the Dagger into the metal floor of the honeycomb.
Dawn -like light rose up, forming an almost invisible wall around her.
Rumble!
The Impact and toxic pale blue Fireball from the "Sulfur Fireball" explosion pounded against the invisible barrier wave after wave, making it sway but never fall.
This is the "Protection" of the "Warrior" Sequence 5.
--"Recording" is the core ability of the "Recording Official" in the "Apprentice" Pathway Sequence 6. It can "Recording" the abilities of others for use. Each Recording can only be used once. "Recording Official" can even "Recording" Beyond Ability with Divinity influence, but they are extremely rare and the probability of "Recording" successfully is very low.
As the aftershocks of the explosion subsided, Mr. K, dressed in Blood-Colored cloak and resembling a giant Demon, wielded a massive sword composed of crimson Magma and pale blue Flames. He rushed to the "Madwoman" and slashed down.
The almost invisible walls surrounding the "Madwoman" could no longer hold on and finally shattered completely. As the illusory books in her Eyes turned, a heavy and sharp "Dawn Sword" appeared in the hand of this Women was not very tall.
With a look of excitement, she swung her two-handed lightsabers upwards.
When!
The "Madwoman," who only possessed the "Dawn Sword" but lacked the physique and strength of a "Warrior," was sent flying by Mr. K's sword.
Although Mr. K did not expect that his opponent, who clearly lacked sufficient close combat ability, would insist on exchanging blows with him, the rhythm of the battle was not affected at all. He took a big step to catch up and swung the Magma greatsword again.
With a whoosh, the "Madwoman" he struck suddenly thinned out, degenerating into a Paper Person set ablaze by Sulfur Flames.
"Paper Figurine Substitute!"
The "Madwoman" appeared beside one of the destroyed metal nests, and the illusory book in her eyes began to turn again.
She then opened her arms, allowing a pure and magnificent beam of blazing light to descend from the sky and strike Mr. K, who had cleaved the Paper Person with his sword.
The "Holy Light" of the "Light Priest"!
