Devouring
As life rapidly slips away, "Ultraman" Lato Giaro begin to wander, and even the idea of saving himself becomes blurred.
In a hazy vision, he seemed to see Juan Oro, the deeply wrinkled old man standing in the middle of the Sea, waving at him with a mixture of joy and mockery.
At that moment, Lumian's voice seemed to come from the horizon, faint, ethereal, and illusory:
"Did you go to Cordou Village to check the situation?"
Cordou Village? The time I went there with "the Madwoman" to find Norfie, and happened to go there on the way? Lumian's figure was reflected in Lato Giaro's unfocused, closing eyes.
With thoughts of disgust for the other person, he uttered his last words in the Highland Language, broken and fragmented:
"I went with ' Madwoman,' simply because it was fun, but ' Loki,' it seems, has something else going on..."
You want to know what happened back then? Sure, I'll speak in the Highland Language. If you don't understand, that's your own problem—it's your own fault for not studying the language properly in the Past!
Lato Giaro was well aware that his actions would not have any real effect, because Lumian Lee could go back and have someone do "Dream Divination," "hypnosis" therapy, or have a "Real Dream" to fully remember the Highland Language he spoke and try to translate it into Intis language or Old Feysac.
But he just wanted to annoy the other person; he was going to die soon anyway, so he didn't care what would happen in the future.
"Purpose..." Lato Giaro uttered the last Vocabulary, his life's flame about to be extinguished.
In that final moment, he seemed to hear Lumian Lee speaking to him in Highland Language:
"Thanks."
The "thank you" was delivered smoothly and naturally, yet carried a strong sense of sarcasm.
"Ultraman" Lato Giaro's intact eye bulged even more, his expression froze on his face, and he stopped breathing completely.
Lumian gripped the "Hateful Movement" again with his right hand, while releasing his left, watching as the head of "Ultraman," Core Member of the "April Fool's Day" prank, swiftly detached from the black Bone Flute with red holes, revealing a hideous, deep, Blood-Colored hole.
Thump!
"Ultraman" fell to the ground, drops of blood clinging to the surface of the black Bone Flute congealing and dripping onto his body.
After the person who "backstabbed" him suffered a fatal wound, the "Pride Armor" ceased its actions and stood nearby, like an ordinary, Special Trait Silver-White Full-Body Armor.
Loki has another purpose? Is it to help the "Sinners" organization or to carry out a prank? Lumian bent down, recalling Ultraman's dying words, to see what items this Core Member the "April Fools' April Fool's Day" team had on him.
Of course, he didn't hold out much hope, because "Ultraman" Lato Giaro had boarded the Colorful Flower Ceremonial Ship disguised as the incoming "Governor of the Sea," Simon Giaro, and couldn't bring any belongings with him. His things must have been given to "Madwoman" to carry, using Flesh Magic to hide them in her Stomach. And just now, "Madwoman" clearly didn't have the time or opportunity to return his belongings to "Ultraman."
This is one of the reasons why Lumian was able to defeat "Ultraman," a powerful dual- Pathway Beyonder, in such a short time.
--If Juan Oro hadn't given prior notice to the Sea Kin on the Colorful Flower Ceremonial Ship, Lumian would have had no choice but to temporarily store the "Traveler’s Bag" with Mr. K.
Just then, Lumian saw a strange Change in the Corpse of "Ultraman" Lato Giaro:
It faded quickly, revealing a semi-transparent, semi-flesh-like state, and then, as if decomposed by countless tiny organisms, it seeped into the Silver-White metal floor and gradually disappeared.
Soon, the flesh and blood, Starlight, and Sun -like fragments left behind by Lato Giaro were absorbed by the Silver-White metal floor, leaving only a set of robes belonging to the "Governor of the Sea" covered there, surrounded by a faint Grayish-White Fog.
In the blink of an eye, the Gray-White mist was absorbed by the strange building, along with the Silver-White metal floor.
Lumian tried to salvage something, but failed.
Is this what they call "returning to the Sea"? But how come this strange building has even absorbed the Beyonder Characteristic of the "Light Priest"? Just as Lumian began to wonder, he heard the sound of metal scraping around him.
The dark holes in the walls, ceiling, and floor were once again covered by the rotating, protruding metal, no longer spewing out thin, light blue-green Toxic Gas, saving Lumian the effort of igniting a layer of Reddish White Flames on his body.
Amidst the rustling sounds, both large metal doors, one in front and one behind, rose up, revealing two Tunnel leading to different places.
After the betrayed party died, the Silver-Gray Behemoth returned to "normal," reverting to its usual state.
Lumian gazed into the Depths of the Tunnel ahead, his heart pounding uncontrollably.
Thump, thump, he felt inexplicably tense and uneasy.
Santa Port, inside the Apartment where "Loki" Concealment.
As soon as the little boy Ludwig said "I'm hungry," he suddenly lowered his head and bit Loki's hand that was holding the Gem Bracelet, nibbling at it as if he were chewing on the marrow inside a chicken wing bone.
Intense pain surged into Loki's mind, and his first reaction was to immediately use the "Paper Figurine Substitute" to escape his current predicament.
But he also worried that this would distance him from the sealed Half-God and make it impossible for him to regain control of him.
Amidst the sounds of bones being crushed and flesh being torn apart, Loki caught the falling Gem Bracelet with his other hand and forced his mouth open:
"Bang!"
A burst of air, like a bullet fired from a state-of-the-art Steam rifle, struck Ludwig on the head, tearing away the flesh and hair to reveal his white Skull.
Ludwig, however, was completely unaffected and continued eating "Loki's" left hand, having already bitten off five fingers and gnawed off half of his palm.
"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" One Air Bullet after another struck the little boy, leaving him a bloody mess, unrecognizable, but Ludwig continued his relentless, focused, and unwavering Devouring of "Loki."
Click, click.
He had already bitten into the other's wrist bone, the crisp sound echoing in their Fusion flesh.
As Loki nearly fainted from the pain, he roughly understood what was going on.
The sealed Half-God possesses extremely strong vitality, making him impossible to harm substantially with ordinary attacks or some Beyond Ability. In other words, you can put him to sleep, manipulate his "Spirit Body Threads," and try to make him Past, but it is very difficult to truly kill him by ordinary means, and you can't even severely injure him.
Under such circumstances, even if this sealed Half-God cannot use any abilities and lacks sufficient strength and speed, the routine behavior of desperately Devouring the flesh and bones of his opponent can still cause many Mid-Sequence Beyonder a great deal of trouble.
Loki abandoned his plan to bring out other Mystical Item and simply used Paper Person to represent himself.
With a whoosh, Ludwig, whose head was riddled with Air Bullet and who was almost unrecognizable, raised his head. A piece of white Paper was wrapped around the edge of his mouth, which was still dripping with blood, and it was being rolled into his mouth along with chunks of Blood-Colored flesh.
Ludwig's Eyes reflected the silhouette of "Loki" in the corner of the room; something seemed to be slowly writhing beneath the torn skin and flesh, trying to break free, but failing.
Loki weighed the current situation and his possessions. With the "Soul Soother" Marionette unable to return in time, he Rationality decided to no longer entangle with this sealed Half-God creature and escape first before considering the rest.
Just then, a Crimson Moonlight shone through the window.
The moonlight filled the Apartment, enveloping "Loki".
A faint voice then rang in Loki's ears:
"A strong smell of blood..."
As the moonlight faded, a Paper Person stained with Gray-White and dark black appeared on the ground.
Loki appeared several hundred meters away, outside the Vine Forest.
That was Gift he had requested from That One Celestial Worthy being during a prayer in a certain week for this operation. It was attached to the Paper Person he had prepared in advance, forming such a powerful substitute with almost Divinity effects.
Tick-tock, tick-tock, blood was still dripping from Loki's bitten-off left wrist.
He immediately activated the diamond on the bracelet, and his figure quickly faded away, preparing to "Teleportation" away.
Santa Port, Milo Village.
Tap, tap, tap.
The soft sound of footsteps echoed in the "Wandering Poet's " ears, putting him on high alert.
The "Wandering Poet" looked around but found nothing.
He started running, dodging several buildings, but the sound of his footsteps still lingered behind him.
The "Wandering Poet" tried to push open the door of a building and broke into the home of a villager in Milo Village.
But what came into his view was not a stove, tables, chairs, jars, or Wooden Box, but a broken Stone Platform immersed in darkness.
"Stone Platform!" The Wandering Poet's pupils dilated, as if he were in a hallucination that didn't feel real.
He actually returned to the "Governor of the Sea" mansion, and to the Altar where the villagers of Milo Village Veneration of the Ancestors.
Something suddenly crawled out from the cracks in the broken Stone Platform.
It was a small, translucent worm with multiple Ring.
The worm rapidly expanded and transformed into a young man wearing the Robe of Subdeacon in Sea-Praying Ritual Monocle.
The man sat on the broken Stone Platform, smiling as he looked at the "Wandering Poet" and said, "Do you understand?"
The "Wandering Poet" suddenly understood what the other person was asking, swallowed hard, and said, "I understand."
Since this Altar has an owner and is inhabited by extraordinary beings, the so-called rule that the "Sea Queen's Ring" can only be enchanted once a year is clearly invalid!
The other party can attach it as many times as they want!
The young man, dressed in a dark blue Robe of a Subdeacon, adjusted his Monocle over his right eye and said with a smile, "I spent over a thousand years establishing the rule that the ability to ' Steal ' can only be granted once a year, but I never expected that I would end up fooling people like you."
