Both illusion and reality
"What kind of person?" Lumian's spirits lifted.
He hadn't expected that Amandina's hallucinations would bring such unexpected benefits.
"I can't see clearly, I can't see clearly. It's not that he can't see clearly, it's that I can't see clearly." Amandina straightened up again, seemingly recovering a bit.
She pondered for a moment and said, "So it turns out I didn't fall asleep after touching that black stone, no, the Black Ancient Tomb. When I woke up, I found myself possessing extraordinary powers. There were some things that happened in between, but I have no memory of them at all. I just think I fell Past."
"The hallucinations I'm seeing may originate from the Depths of my mind, from forgotten parts of my memories—no, not forgotten, they've simply been Slumber, and now they're becoming active, slowly awakening..."
Amandina carefully examined her own condition, searching for the Source of the abnormality.
"He's got a pretty good head on his shoulders, a great mindset, and he's maintained basic composure..." Lumian thought to himself.
This version of Amandina was somewhat unfamiliar to Camus.
In his memory Amandina was not only beautiful, but also cheerful, optimistic, and lively. She was the kind of girl who could unconsciously infect those around her with a happy mood. However, because she was young, she still seemed rather naive, immature, and inexperienced.
Who knew that after meeting "Dream Festival", the other party would gradually reveal an unexpected openness, maturity and composure.
Amandina became puzzled:
"Why did Robert never mention the Slumber memories, or that I didn't fall asleep immediately after touching the Ancient Tomb? Priest Kali also said I Past and woke up with supernatural powers?"
"They've definitely participated in the ' Dream Festival ' and visited the Black Ancient Tomb more times while fully conscious than I have..."
Lumian understood what Amandina was trying to say:
First, why do Priest Kali and Robert, who have visited the Black Ancient Tomb multiple times, still believe that they were unconscious on the spot and regained Extraordinary Ability upon waking, without experiencing hallucinations similar to those experienced by Amandina?
Secondly, Robert watched Amandina touch the Black Ancient Tomb; didn't he know whether she collapsed to the ground and fell Past?
Lumian thought for a few seconds and said, "Perhaps the person you saw, the one standing in front of you, caused the related memories to Slumber. And you yourself are of the ' Evernight ' Pathway, a ' Nightmare,' so you have special characteristics in Dream and in Slumber. The closer you get to the Black Ancient Tomb, the more likely it is to awaken the Slumber memories, leading to hallucinations."
Amandina hummed in agreement, accepting the guess that she had something special about her, and continued walking forward with confidence.
Two minutes later, Lumian suddenly raised his right hand again, made a pressing motion, and said in a low voice, "Hide nearby."
He heard faint footsteps.
Camus immediately rolled to the side and hid behind a Palm Tree, while Riya quickly climbed up another tree and hid behind the branches and leaves.
Lugano glanced at the jungle, teeming with Poisonous Insects and snakes, and kept telling himself, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, I can heal myself if I get bitten."
He quickly shrank behind a cluster of huge, brightly colored Mushrooms.
Amandina had experience hiding in such places, which is why she saw Tevanaco heading to the Black Ancient Tomb.
With agile movements, she took advantage of the cover of night and relied on her own intuition to slip through the dense low greenery and hide behind Giant Tree further away.
Suddenly, a thick Vines hanging from the Giant Tree came to life, swinging towards Amandina and opening its Blood-Colored mouth.
It was a Dark Green Python!
Amandina's eyes snapped shut, and she clenched her fists.
The Python then fell into a deep sleep, swaying weakly backward a few times before finally collapsing to the ground.
Seeing that his teammates were all hidden, Lumian's body suddenly disappeared, blending into the vast shadows brought by the night.
A dozen or twenty seconds later, Daoist crossed from the front.
From her vantage point high above, Riya peered through the gaps in the foliage and saw a figure draped in an elaborate, layered black Black Robe, with a fluffy black hat perched atop its hair, a White Feather swaying gently in the brim.
Lumian, existing in the form of Shadow Creature, also saw the general shape of the figure.
His mind suddenly tensed, and a sense of doubt welled up within him:
Isn't that Ivelista Aegis?
How did this member of the Temperance Faction of the "The Fool's " Church end up in Dream and become Participant in the "Dream Festival"?
Lumian has thoroughly explored the Tizamo Town, the surrounding Plantation, and the Military Barracks outside the town over the past few days, and knows exactly which Outsider have recently arrived, and Ivelista is not among them!
"Did he arrive here after the ' Dream Festival ' began?"
"Hmm, he once said that his original mission was to investigate something in the Primeval Jungle around Port Pylos, but then he was temporarily ordered to deal with ' Hisoka's ' contact... Could what he was investigating be related to that Black Ancient Tomb? The ' Temperance Faction ' is the ' Prisoner ' Pathway, and the Aegis Family are Descendants of ' Death God.' It's not surprising that the Black Ancient Tomb and the cold Corpse inside would attract this ' Temperance Faction ' Aegis..."
"Did Ivelista Ai and *Tu*Shoggoth encounter the ' Dream Festival ' while searching for that Primitive Tribe in the jungle?"
As Lumian analyzed why Ivelista was there, he peered through the shadows at Ivelista's expression.
He saw that the Paleness face of this "Temperance Faction" member was contorted with an indescribable ferocity, and his deep brown Eyes held a wild, savage look, tinged with a hint of Blood-Colored in the dim Crimson Moon.
"Although there are no Dream Projection formed by excessive emotions and desires to have an impact, being in the ' Dream Festival ' still makes it difficult to control oneself and Temperance oneself..." Lumian was not surprised by this at all.
Ludwig and Kolobo are examples of this.
Considering Ivelista's current condition, Lumian did not emerge from the shadows, patiently waiting for the other party to leave the area, until the footsteps gradually faded away.
"Judging from the direction, he's also going to that Black Ancient Tomb..." Lumian transformed back into a human, stood on the road overgrown with Weeds, and gazed at the spot where Ivelista's figure had disappeared.
He raised his right hand and snapped his fingers, saying, "You can come out now."
Camus, Riya, and Lugano left their hiding place one after another, with Camus even going so far as to wake Amandina.
"Shall we continue?" Amandina asked, looking at Lumian.
Lumian answered without hesitation, "Continue."
This time, they proceeded with even greater caution, constantly paying attention to their surroundings.
Three or four minutes later, Lumian, who was prepared to deal with Ivelista and Reyasa, followed Amandina's Guidance and slipped Past the gaps between the Giant Tree.
A black, huge, familiar stone came into his view.
At first glance, it appears to be a huge rock the size of a house, but upon closer inspection, one can see lines, abnormal bumps and depressions, and thread-like gaps that are invisible to the naked eye.
This is definitely more than just a stone.
Around the Black Monolith, tree roots emerged from the Underground, covering an area the size of Square, like the prominent veins of every human being, but all long dead, withered and droopy.
At this moment, the place was empty, without a single person in sight.
"Ivelista didn't come here? This wasn't Reyasa's destination either? Did they get lost along the way? Or is it that only those who have received the Gift of the Ancient Tomb or the Corpse can truly reach this area?" Lumian looked around in confusion.
Amandina's brows furrowed once more, and she couldn't help but press her hands to the sides of her head.
She said with some Pain, "Then, the hallucination became clearer, I, I saw more."
The figure walked up to me, reached out its hand, and pressed its hand on the top of my head!
"He... he was wearing a strange hat..."
Camus, Riya, and the others did not interrupt Amandina, to see if she could recall more or be stimulated to awaken more Slumber memories.
Amandina murmured to herself:
"Was this how you gave me superhuman powers back then?"
As Lumian listened to Amandina's words, he stared at the Black Monolith that was said to be Ancient Tomb.
He sensed something familiar.
As a "Conspirer," Lumian quickly searched his memories for the source of the familiarity.
He soon had his answer.
The Black Ancient Tomb reminded him somewhat of the "Samaritan Woman Spring," the "Samaritan Woman Spring" before it was stained with a Paleness color!
As expected, it's something closely related to the Death Domain... Lumian examined the Residual Aura the "Blood Emperor" in his right hand, confirming that it was unaffected and on the verge of activation.
Just then, the surroundings became unusually quiet.
The rustling sounds in the jungle, the howls of wild animals, the gunshots and screams from Tizamo Town seemed to vanish all at once, and the deep night fell into utter silence.
Amandina raised her head and cried out in horror, "I remember! I remember! When I gained my supernatural powers, this place was just as quiet. It doesn't feel like the ' Dream Festival ' at all!"
The next second, Amandina's pupils suddenly dilated:
"He, he, that Daoist, that Daoist has appeared!"
Huh? Riya, Camus, and Lugano all looked towards the Black Ancient Tomb with a solemn and bewildered expression, but they saw no one and found nothing unusual.
Amandina's voice suddenly became shrill:
Didn't you see it?
"He... he's walking towards me... he's walking towards me!"
For a moment, Lumian and the others couldn't determine whether Amandina's hallucination was so vivid as to be almost real, or whether something had actually happened.
"No! Don't come any closer!"
Amandina stared at the empty area ahead, her expression one of utter despair, and shouted at the top of her lungs.
With that shout, Lumian felt the entire area tremble slightly, and his surroundings became blurred.
In the blur, scenes emerge one after another, like different fragments of Dream.
These scenes all center around Black Ancient Tomb, but different people stand around it.
In some scenes, Reyasa stands dressed in a thin black suit; in others, Ivelista stands wearing Fur Hat; sometimes a man and a woman walk side by side; and sometimes they surround humans clad in Black Robe.
One of the humans, dressed in Black Robe, turned his head and looked at Lumian with a smile.
His skin was light brown, and his Flax Eyes were tinged with a dark green; it was none other than "Hisoka" Tevanaco.
