Divine Descent
The whole world seemed to turn Gray-White, and even the almost blue Flames on Vanak's body solidified into stone.
Lumian's first reaction was to insert his right hand into the "Traveler’s Bag" to take out the "Mirror Buckle," using "0-01" to break the Barrier of this Mirror World and infiltrate it with power. Julie, however, had no time to deal with this matter and directly broke away from the Mirror, returning to the real Corpse Mountain Peak to avoid the divine war that was about to take place.
He could tell that Julie had just been praying for Divine Descent.
And now, a fraction of the "Primordial Witch's " power has descended!
Lumian was inevitably affected; his body also turned Gray-White and stiffened. Only the intense Burning pain from the Residual Aura of the "Blood Emperor" in his right palm allowed him to barely move his arm, letting it sluggishly and slowly reach into the "Traveler’s Bag" and grasp the Glass Cufflink.
He had just withdrawn his hand Future to activate the "Mirror Buckle" when he saw Julie, whose hair was floating in mid-air, turn around and look at him.
The "Witch's" hair had turned jet black at some point, resembling thick, long venomous snakes, while her Eyes were a clear, beautiful azure.
Lumian and Julie only exchanged a glance before instantly losing control of their bodies.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Gray-White -white color around him thicken, rapidly extending upwards from his feet, turning every inch of skin and every piece of flesh into real stone wherever it passed.
Why was I the first target of the attack?
"There are even more dangerous figures like Vanak and Albus here, and the ' Abscessed Severed Hand ' that doesn't seem quite dead yet. Why target me, the weakest of them all?"
"Shouldn't it affect me incidentally during area-of-effect attacks?"
"That way I'll have a chance to escape this Mirror World and wait for the Divine Descent to end!"
Faced with this hopeless situation against which there was absolutely no way to resist, Lumian, as an "Ascetic," was overwhelmed with intense resentment and anger.
During this process, he did not give up struggling. Even though his hands and feet had turned to stone and he could not make any more movements, he tried to spread his spirituality to activate the "Mirror Buckle" tightly held in his Gray-White palm and the various Contract Mark on his body.
But as soon as his spirituality approached the rising, dense Gray-White, it suddenly solidified, turning into stone chips that fell to the ground like rain.
Lumian's neck then turned to stone, and his face and brain began to Gray-White.
He managed to turn his eyes one last time and glance at where Albus Medici was.
That Wilderness was now deserted.
The Descendants of That One "Red Angel" has disappeared!
He disappeared or ran away at some unknown time!
"Raised by a sow..." Lumian couldn't help but curse.
The next second, even his thoughts seemed to turn to stone.
In his Gray-White Eyes, Julie, whose appearance Change considerably and Charm was so strong that even stones would turn, had flown into the air, her whole body engulfed in black Flames.
The Witch descended like Giant Bird, leaving behind a trail of Black Flame that covered half the sky. The ends of the Black Flame Distortion and forked, like countless Python Entanglement high above, their long tails swaying gently.
Silently, this Mirror World began to collapse. The Dark Void, mixed with Black Flame, continued to collapse inward, swallowing the "Abscessed Severed Hand" still in its skeletal state, swallowing Vanak who could not escape, swallowing Lumian who had turned to Stone Statues...
The Apocalypse of the world has come here.
A deathly silence, devoid of any thought, filled all the blank spaces.
After an unknown amount of time, a violent, invisible flame leaped out and illuminated Lumian's mind.
Lumian immediately felt the Burning pain and icy decay in his right palm, and the scorching heat in his left chest.
He suddenly opened his eyes and saw a hundred-meter-high Mountain Peak made up of Corpse and skeletons.
"I... I'm still alive?" Lumian asked, bewildered.
His last memories were of himself turning into Statues and Julie plunging the entire Mirror World into darkness and destruction.
He instinctively lowered his head and saw the Gray-White on his body rapidly fading away.
This proves that what just happened was neither Nightmare nor a hallucination.
"So how did I survive?"
"Who was there who offered assistance?"
Lumian himself couldn't believe he could survive such an Apocalypse.
Just then, he heard Albus Medici's chuckling voice in his ear:
"So you can also travel through the ' Mirror World,' huh? Your escape plan was perfectly synchronized with mine, and you even managed to do it while you were still partially Petrification. I'm impressed, truly impressed."
"You're relying on that Cufflink in your hand?"
Lumian quickly turned to the side and saw Albus, wearing a tattered black jacket with red stripes and a Crystal Necklace Entanglement his wrist.
At this moment, Albus Medici had his eyes closed, but he was surrounded by several Undead soldiers clad in Iron-Black armor, their eyes Burning with either Paleness or dark red Flames.
Lumian paused for a moment before remembering that she should also close her eyes.
This area is most likely the area surrounding the real Corpse Mountain Peak. If you open your eyes, you might be silently replaced by the "Person in the Mirror"!
Nothing happened... Just as I predicted, I am now Vanak's companion, one of the dangers, Marionette of "0-01," and no longer afraid of certain forbidden rules... It's a pity I didn't react sooner; I'm still in the shock and confusion of not being dead. Otherwise, I could have closed my eyes again before Albus looked over, and then used that to trick him at the crucial moment... Lumian, while regretful, also roughly understood how Albus had dodged the Divine Descent the "Primordial Witch":
He shared the same idea as himself, wanting to take advantage of "0-01" to break the Barrier of the Mirror World and infiltrate his power into it. Julie, who was praying for Divine Descent, had no time to consider the opportunity and used the item that could accomplish "Mirror Traversal" to escape back to the real Mausoleum.
The only difference is that Julie, Divine Descent was not yet fully completed, had already set her sights on Lumian and ignored Albus. So, one of them ran away, and the other didn't.
"Why were you looking at me then? You should have focused on sealing off the entire world, then no one would have escaped!" Lumian muttered to Julie, feeling that she had only survived by activating the "Mirror Buckle" before her thoughts completely Petrification.
But after a brief inspection, he discovered something was wrong.
The "Mirror Buckle" can be used twice!
He hadn't used this extraordinary item at all!
Could it be that Archbishop Heraberg secretly helped me? After all, even Deity need special arrangements to descend a little power into the Underground Mausoleum of Morola. It's unlikely that some outsider suddenly intervened... It couldn't be that Julie remembered how good I was as her Boss and gave me a push at the last minute, pushing me out of that Mirror World, could it? Lumian decided to put this matter aside for the time being.
Now is not the time to seek the truth!
The situation is still fraught with crisis!
He glanced at Albus and noticed that the Descendants of the "Red Angel" was thoughtfully observing him through the surrounding Undead soldiers.
"Sure enough, Albus didn't take the opportunity to attack me just now. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but that he had some concerns. He probably felt that my performance exceeded his expectations, and the fact that I was able to escape was full of mystery. He was worried that if he acted rashly, he would step into a trap..." Just as Lumian had these thoughts in mind, the sky suddenly Change.
Julie's figure, dressed in a long, slit Long Dress, emerged from the sky, which was partially illuminated by the firelight.
Lumian felt a chill run down his spine.
She's not dead yet; is she still in Divine Descent state?
Lumian immediately noticed that Julie's figure was unusually transparent, and the Sapphire Ring on her left hand was gone.
Whew... He heard Albus Medici let out a long sigh of relief.
Julie lowered her head and looked up at the top of the Corpse Mountain Peak.
Lumian followed her gaze and saw a two- or three-meter-high iron-black metal pole, and Burnt Banner hanging at the top of the pole. On the flag were numerous dark red or black bloodstains and patches of bloodstains.
Just one glance was enough to make Lumian feel dizzy, a strange stinging pain in his neck, and a metallic taste of blood seeping from his brow and other parts of his face.
"0-01"? "The Salinger Blood Banner"? My Corruption has deepened significantly... It seems I don't need to finish reading all the remaining books; studying this one well should be enough... I can't rely on such direct Corruption to save time anymore; it's easy to exceed the critical point... Lumian quickly withdrew his gaze and glanced at Sallys was standing not far from that flag.
The "Witch," dressed in a black cloak, was looking down at the part of the Iron-Black metal flagpole that was inserted into the top of the Corpse Mountain Peak.
The next second, she sensed something, looked up, and gazed at Julie high in the sky.
Julie's lips curled up, revealing a beautiful and radiant smile.
She parted her moist lips, as if to say, "It's up to you now."
In the blink of an eye, Lumian saw Julie's figure rapidly fade and shrink, turning into a pool of filthy blood.
The filthy blood was only the size of a palm, falling straight down.
It fell in the direction of the charred "0-01" flag, seemingly destined to become one of the many bloodstains and marks on it.
Sallys finally came to her senses and cried out in extreme Pain:
"Julie!"
At this moment, Albus's expression changed slightly, and he transformed into a Burning Blazing White and blue Flame Spear, which he threw into the air, aiming above the "0-01" flag.
He seemed very reluctant to see the stain of Julie's remaining blood on the charred flag.
"You're finally starting to put in the effort..." Lumian muttered, not in a hurry to follow Albus to the top of the Corpse Mountain Peak to find an opportunity to leave Brand or stop Albus and Sallys from doing so.
He planned to wait until Albus and Sallys had been fighting for a while before "joining in"!
Of course, Lumian Albus valued Julie's bloodstain and didn't want it to become a mark on the "0-01" flag. If Albus perform well and failed to prevent the bloodstain from falling to its intended location, he would "Teleportation" Past to help.
Seizing this rare opportunity, Lumian took an item from the "Traveler’s Bag".
That's not the "Sword of Courage," but the "Demon’s Whisper" Bone Ring originating from "Hisoka."
