Background / History

Bibi Dong secretly gave birth to twins fathered by Qian Xunji: Qian Renxue and a son later identified as Xue Tianyu. Consumed by hatred for Qian Xunji, she attempted to strangle the newborn boy, then abandoned him in the Great Ice Plain. She also attempted to kill Qian Renxue, though Qian Xunji intervened. 1 4 524

Her hatred of the Qian family stems from Qian Xunji’s assault of her. Qian Daoliu later supported her rise as Spirit Hall’s Pope, but their relationship deteriorated when he investigated rumors of her second child. Bibi Dong denied the child’s existence and viewed the Qian family as responsible for her suffering. 41 55

After confronting Qian Daoliu, Bibi Dong exposed both her Death Spider Queen and Soul Devouring Spider Queen Martial Souls, as well as her developing Rakshasa power. Though she failed to defeat him, the battle intensified her drive to gain hundred-thousand-year Spirit Rings, complete the Rakshasa inheritance, overthrow the Qian family, and build a dynasty with Yu Xiaogang. 54 56 60 71

Personality

Bibi Dong is driven primarily by trauma, resentment, and an obsessive need to never again be powerless. She views the Qian family as the source of her suffering and repeatedly pursues greater strength so that she can destroy their influence, control Spirit Hall, and act without restraint. 41 71 89

Her maternal impulses are unstable and conflicted. She briefly hesitates before killing Qian Renxue, yet repeatedly admits that she wished she had killed both children and later reveals that she kept Qian Renxue alive as a tool against the Qian family. 4 94 205

Yu Xiaogang is the central object of her affection. Bibi Dong is willing to offer Spirit Hall and everything she possesses to save him, and his death leaves her consumed by vengeance and determined to find a way to resurrect him. 196 214 217
