He thought for a while, then told Chi Xiao everything: the changes in the nature of his energy after his Promotion, and how he could no longer use many of his old spell formulas.
Xu Le spoke very slowly, afraid that Chi Xiao might not hear him clearly.
So he explained every issue in great detail.
Especially when Xu Le mentioned the change in his energy's nature-this was something even Chi Xiao herself had never experienced.
Normally, when a warlock reached Legendary through Promotion, they would strengthen a particular type of energy within themselves.
Once that energy was strengthened and their abilities underwent a qualitative change, reaching the effect of Promotion to Legendary Might, it would become fixed.
This was only the second time Chi Xiao had seen someone's energy change its nature completely, as Xu Le's had...
The first had been Ding Ke.
Although Ding Ke had failed in her attempt at Promotion to Level 7 and become a Whisperer, she was actually very similar to Xu Le: both were Forbidden Warlocks.
During Ding Ke's Promotion to Level 7, the nature of the energy in her body had also undergone a special change.
Starting as the Red Moon Spirit, it had gradually evolved into an equally chaotic form of forbidden energy.
It was precisely under the dual torment of that chaotic energy and uncontrollable heart energy that Ding Ke had completely succumbed to whispering.
And whenever Ding Ke regained her lucidity, it was actually because she could separate out those chaotic energies, or because, under the Red Moon's light, one type of energy suppressed the others.
Even now, however, Ding Ke had no way to control the chaotic energy within herself.
But Xu Le now... clearly showed no sign of succumbing to whispering.
That was still a major difference
