Reward settlement
Now that everything has been completed...
The Moon Goddess and her entourage returned to the Heavenly Realm, carrying the Great Array of the Celestial Stars.
Heavenly King Li and the Nine Heavens Responding Origin Thunderclap Puhua Tianzun also withdrew their troops and returned to Heaven.
After rescuing the the Monks, Amitabha Buddha prepared to return to Spirit Mountain.
The four members of Tang Sanzang's group bowed in farewell.
Although Wukong had offended Mahakala Bodhisattva and others before, most of the Monks from Mahakala's lineage had gone into tribulation, while the remaining monks got along well with Tang Sanzang Mahakala Bodhisattva his disciples at the Yellow Flower Temple. Therefore, the atmosphere was still harmonious at this time.
Amitabha Buddha offered a few words of encouragement to Tang Sanzang, and then led the the Monks back to the Western Heaven.
On the way, Amitabha Buddha praised Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva for his profound Buddha Nature and allowed Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva to follow him.
Seeing that Amitabha Buddha intended to enlighten him, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva seized the opportunity to ask the question that had been on his mind, "May I ask, Sage, is our Eastern Migration truly in accordance with the will of Heavenly Dao?"
Amitabha Buddha, upon hearing this, did not shy away and replied, "Yes."
The Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva said, "But the Demon Dragon formation has already been eliminated. Why should our sect abandon its foundation in the Western Heaven and move to the Eastern Lands?"
Amitabha Buddha sighed, "He is acting in accordance with Heaven's will; I cannot change that!"
The Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, puzzled, said, "This disciple is dull-witted."
In the blink of an eye, the the Monks had arrived outside Spirit Mountain.
Amitabha Buddha led the the Monks back to Spirit Mountain to pay homage to the Tathagata Buddha, while he and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva went out alone to answer questions.
Upon hearing this, the the Monks obeyed and entered the Spirit Mountain.
After Amitabha Buddha and the the Monks left, he sat on auspicious Auspicious Clouds and spoke with Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva:
"You don't know, there are three difficulties in this matter."
The Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva said, "Please enlighten me, Great Buddha."
Amitabha Buddha said:
"The difficulty lies in the fact that he has already severed his Evil Corpse, leaving it in the past. He and I are close friends, so it is inconvenient for me to take action."
Mahasthamaprapta hearing this, the Bodhisattva was immediately shaken to his core.
Only then did he realize why he couldn't defeat the Demon Dragon. It turned out the dragon wasn't Golden Immortal, but had bypassed the Great Luo realm and Corpse-Slaying first; how could he possibly win?
No wonder Shakyamuni didn't intervene; he must have known about this all along, which is why he remained calmly seated on Spirit Mountain. Mahakala Bodhisattva probably didn't even know how he died.
The struggle for the Great Dao is truly perilous!
However, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva still had many doubts in his heart. Although the other party had already Corpse-Slaying, he should not make the Sage worry, or even abandon the foundation of his teachings because of this.
The Path of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva:
"This disciple is still puzzled. In a struggle for the Great Dao, even if one is reluctant to intervene out of consideration for personal relationships, shouldn't one at least try to stop it? Why then..."
Amitabha Buddha said:
"This is the second difficulty. It's because his Evil Corpse is extremely evil, and I fell for his evil scheme before, so I can't take action."
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva exclaimed in alarm, "A wicked scheme!"
Amitabha Buddha nodded and said:
"His Evil Corpse, a remnant of the past, was a close friend of mine. It once deliberately plotted against me to help me Attainment of the Dao sainthood. If I were to harm him now, it would introduce unforeseen circumstances and have far-reaching consequences. The slightest change could allow someone to seize the opportunity, and the consequences would be unpredictable."
Mahasthamaprapta hearing this, the Bodhisattva's expression changed repeatedly, realizing the magnitude of the implications.
Amitabha Buddha said again:
"Furthermore, abandoning our Eastern Migration and migrating eastward is in accordance with the will of Heaven, not a vice. The land of the Eastern Lands is blessed with outstanding people and virtuous and courteous people; unlike the barren land of the Western Heaven, where people and beasts are uncivilized, foolish and lacking in wisdom. Our religion should flourish in the Eastern Lands, and if I were to obstruct it, I would be obstructing my own path. This is the third difficulty."
Upon hearing this, the Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva understood the three difficulties.
Firstly, there is the matter of personal relationships; it is very difficult to disregard them.
Secondly, there are variables; ignoring them makes things even more difficult.
Thirdly, those who obstruct their own path and disregard this will face even greater difficulties.
Only then did Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva realize the whole picture.
After resolving the doubts of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, Amitabha Buddha clasped his hands and departed.
The Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva on the spot for a long time, bowing deeply in gratitude, before returning to Spirit Mountain to pay homage to the Tathagata Buddha and report on his journey to Subduing Demons the Demon Dragon, including how he sacrificed himself to save the lives of the the Monks.
All the the Monks knew about this, so it was impossible to hide it.
Upon hearing Tathagata Buddha not only did not rebuke Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva for surrendering, but also praised his unwavering Buddhist heart and willingness to surrender and suffer humiliation to protect the the Monks.
Upon seeing this, the the Monks expressed their gratitude Mahasthamaprapta the Bodhisattva for saving their lives.
Among the the Monks, there were many Bodhisattva and Arhat who surrendered, just like Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. Some did so to protect the the Monks, while others did so simply because they were afraid of death and feared that their cultivation would be lost.
Now, the Tathagata Buddha did not reprimand the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, but instead praised his actions. The Monks were relieved, and Spirit Mountain returned to its former peaceful state.
The Tathagata Buddha also arranged for the Monks to perform a liberation Taoist temple, and set up Buddha Pagoda to enshrine the Sarira of Mahakala Bodhisattva and other bodhisattvas. He also specially arranged for monks to sweep and worship the stupa.
Although no corpses of Mahakala Bodhisattva and others were left behind, they left behind many bodies from their past mortal journeys. The Tathagata Buddha arranged for these to be burned into Sarira, which were then enshrined in a stupa and emitted light day and night.
Furthermore, the Tathagata Buddha instructed Kasyapa to descend from Spirit Mountain and inform all nations of the deaths of Mahakala Bodhisattva and others, so that they might offer their prayers in remembrance.
In short, although Mahakala Bodhisattva contradicted the Tathagata Buddha several times, the Tathagata Buddha, being Buddha, had a broad mind, just as Mount Sumeru can be contained by a mustard seed, and did not care about Mahakala Bodhisattva's contradictions.
Meanwhile, as the matter came to an end, Tang Sanzang and his disciples left Yellow Flower Temple and headed outside.
Because all the Bodhisattva Arhat died in the great formation, their blood and flesh were scattered, and the entire Pansi Ridge area became Grass and Wood with spirit, and all the beasts attained enlightenment.
It took the four of them quite a bit of effort to emerge from the lush Grass and Wood Mountain Ridge.
Meanwhile, in the Flower Realm.

Ao Tu blocked the way for more than seven years this time. Adding the time he spent in the Zhu Zi Kingdom before, the total blocking time reached more than 2,700 days, which is close to eight years.
If Amitabha Buddha hadn't suddenly intervened to break the formation and disrupt Ao Tu's plans, it wouldn't have been impossible for the situation to be delayed for eight or nine years.
This was also due Tathagata the fact that the Great Monk was too composed. Even Amitabha Buddha couldn't sit still and took action, but he remained calmly seated in Spirit Mountain and didn't come out. Ao Tu really had no choice but to leave.
The Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree originally intended for the Tathagata Buddha was also left unused.
However, when he returns to Lion Camel Ridge next time, he can directly capture Tathagata uncle, and then he won't have to worry about the Great Monk showing up.
This stunt, which lasted seven and a half years, was still quite successful, even though it wasn't a complete success.
