Demon-slaying at Lion Camel Ridge (37)
It is said that the Medicine Buddha of Lapis Lazuli Light, possessed considerable power, which Ao Tu could not easily defeat, and the demons were no match for him, unable to contend with him.
Ao Tu then decided to use the Twelve Divine Fiends Formation of the Twelve Capitals to force the demons to retreat behind the statues of gods in the city.
The demons retreated.
The Medicine Buddha killed several more Demon. Seeing that the other Demon had fled back to the city, he used the Uṣṇīṣa Vijaya Haritaki Fruit Branch in his hand to break through a section of the Lion Camel City wall, revealing the statue inside.
The statue was covered in Blood Fiend; though it had no face, it seemed to come alive.
The Medicine Buddha knew that the statue was an anomaly, so he struck it with a branch, which landed on the statue with a "bang," and the statue turned into Powder.
Endless Blood Fiend surged forth, yet it did not dissipate.
Beneath the statue, a Formation Diagram was revealed.
All the Blood Fiend surged into the Formation Diagram.
Medicine Buddha knew something was wrong, but he couldn't identify what kind of Formation Diagram it was. He just felt a lot of death energy shrouding his eyes.
The Blood Sea Incarnation shook its body, dropping twelve drops of Essence Blood that transformed into twelve great gods.
The names are: Dijiang, Jumang, Zhurong, Roushou, Gonggong, Xuanming, Houtu, Qiangliang, Zhu Jiuyin, Tian Wu, Xizi, Shebishi.
The twelve deities descended into the formation, manifesting as a Giant with its head reaching the sky and its feet planted on the ground. Its eyes were devoid of spirit, yet filled with Baleful Qi; behind its head, there was no Merit, but rather Blood Light.
This is a gathering of Baleful Qi, and can be considered a projection of Pangu.
The Giant turned to look at the Medicine Buddha.
With that single glance, all Three Thousand Great Daos were frozen in place.
The Medicine Buddha felt only the word "death" looming before him, and there was no way to escape it.
Without hesitation, Medicine Buddha turned and fled, instantly crossing ten Ganges River sands' worth of Buddha lands and hiding in the Eastern Pure Lapis Lazuli World.
The giant clenched his right hand, manifesting an axe, raised it, and cleaved it forward, splitting the path of the Medicine Buddha in two as easily as chopping dry firewood.
All the Laws the Pure Land of Bliss in the Eastern Pure Lapis Lazuli World vanished into nothingness, the world shattered, fell into the Northern Utarakuru, and was transformed back into an ordinary land.
The Medicine Buddha's golden Golden Body shattered instantly. He hurriedly Dao Yi for mercy, but before he could finish speaking, the Axe Light cleaved his entire body's Laws and cultivation into pieces, scattering them into the Great Dao and evolving into its Dao Principles.
However, a great Supernatural Ability like the Medicine Buddha, who has created his own Dao Principles, is not so easy to kill. His life has long been integrated with the Dao Principles he created. To kill him, one must not only shatter the Dao Principles on his body, but also peel away and shatter or take away the Dao Principles in the world.
Just like the Ancient Times Fire God Zhurong, to kill him, one must not only kill him, but also erase or hand over the Fire Laws to someone else.
Even so, after endless ages, as worlds change, the old world perishes and a new world is born, the corresponding great Supernatural Ability beings will return along with the Laws they govern.
Although it will take a long time, it will eventually return.
This is the Supernatural Ability of a great being. One Proof, Eternal Proof; they are immortal and indestructible.
Ao Tu has only shattered the Medicine Buddha's True Body so far. To kill him, he also needs to shatter or seize the Dao Principles that the Medicine Buddha established.
As for its return in the next world, that's not something Ao Tu needs to consider right now.
Ao Tu activated the Formation, Axe Light fell on the Great Dao, intending to cut down the the Path that Medicine Buddha had opened up on the Great Dao.
At this moment, Ao Tu felt for the first time the obstruction from this Heaven and Earth.
The Medicine Buddha's opening of the the Path is a Merit act that perfects the Great Dao for the benefit of Heaven and Earth.
Now that Ao Tu wants to cut it down, he is cutting down the perfected Rules Heaven and Earth. This is the real act of defying the way of Heavenly Dao. There are obstacles to Ao Tu's actions everywhere in Heaven and Earth.
Fortunately, the the Path of the Medicine Buddha is not considered the main Great Dao in the Heaven and Earth.
If it were Dao Principles like the Five Phases Yin and Yang, cutting off any one of them—cutting off water, and there would be no water in the Heaven and Earth; cutting off fire, and there would be no fire in the Heaven and Earth —the price to pay would be unimaginable, and even Sage would probably not dare to bear it lightly.
No wonder that even though Supernatural Ability beings like the Ancestral Shaman and Ancestral Dragon were defeated in the Great Calamity, the Laws they possessed were not erased, but rather distributed to others.
In fact, the best solution for Ao Tu now is to stop cutting off the the Path of Medicine Buddha and distribute the the Path of Medicine Buddha to others. In this way, he will not only avoid bearing too much karma, but he will also have a good helper under his command.
The problem is, not everyone can endure the Path.
Only those whose the Path is similar to that of the former, and whose cultivation level is comparable, can bear the former's the Path.
Ao Tu's subordinates are all demons; clearly, none of them are capable of carrying on the path of the Medicine Buddha.
In that case, the only option is to completely eliminate it.
A malevolent glint appeared in Ao Tu's eyes. Since no one else was available, he had no choice but to destroy this Dao Principles to prevent future troubles.
As for the damage to Heaven and Earth, he can make up for it later!
He will bear all the consequences of his actions!
With a single thought, Ao Tu unleashed a Giant axe, instantly severing a quarter of the Medicine Buddha's Dao Principles.
Ao Tu suffered a backlash, and the Evil Qi in his eyes intensified.
The Giant continued to raise the divine axe.
The Medicine Buddha manifested himself within the Dao Principles, saying:
"Spare me! Spare me! We have no grudge against each other, why must you be so ruthless!"
Ao Tu refused to stop, saying, "I told you long ago to return to your Eastern Pure Lapis Lazuli World to chant sutras, but you refused, insisting on Tathagata Monk. Now that I have shattered your world, we have become enemies, how can I forgive you?"
The Medicine Buddha, "The Buddha possesses a broad mind; I am willing to let go of my resentment over this mere enmity of being killed, and instead forge a lasting bond of goodwill with Your Great King!"
Upon hearing this, Ao Tu stopped and said, "Your foundation has been completely shattered by my axe, and you don't even resent it?"
Medicine Buddha: "My world unfortunately collided with the Axe Light; its shattering was ordained by Heaven. How dare I complain? I hereby swear that if I harbor even the slightest resentment, my Dao Principles be flawed."
Dao Principles has flaws, it cannot enter the Great Luo.
Ao Tu believed the Medicine Buddha after seeing his solemn oath, but he still did not dispel the Pangu Phantom, and said:
"If that's the case, then you have no enmity with me. But just now I was about to cut off your the Path, and with one swing of my axe, I suffered a backlash from Heaven and Earth. You must compensate me."
Upon hearing this, the Medicine Buddha repeatedly said:
"You deserve compensation! You deserve compensation! Your Great King, for cutting off my the Path, has suffered such backlash. How can I bear it? Here I have a Lapis Lazuli Golden Elixir, also known as the Great Lapis Lazuli Medicine, which I refined using the Twelve Fundamental Great Vows I made at the beginning of my Attainment of the Dao. Consuming this Great Medicine will grant instant Attaining Buddhahood, possessing twelve benefits: first, a dignified Buddha appearance; second, enlightenment of Wisdom; third, abundant food and clothing; fourth, turning to Mahayana Buddhism; fifth, pure Precept-Keeping precepts; sixth, healing of disabilities and all kinds of illnesses; seventh, relief for the poor, sick, and destitute; eighth, resolution of many afflictions; ninth, dispelling wrong views and returning to the right path; tenth, liberation from Prisons Punishment, and calamities; eleventh, elimination of the torment of famine and disease; twelfth, fulfillment of all good wishes in the world."
After saying this, the Medicine Buddha presented the Lapis Lazuli Golden Elixir.
Ao Tu was very satisfied upon seeing this, but he still did not dispel the Pangu Phantom, and spoke:
"This Lapis Lazuli Golden Elixir is so precious, but unfortunately I don't have Treasure Casket to store it in. Why don't you take it back?"
The Medicine Buddha dared not take it back and hurriedly said:
"What a coincidence! I happen to have a Gourd here; let Your Great King use it to hold the precious elixir!"
