Slaying demons at Lion Camel Ridge (44)
Meanwhile, Amitabha Buddha manifested Eastern Green Lotus Treasure-Colored Banner.
Ao Tu cursed him, "You shameless old monk who stole the flag and won't return it! Your skin is thicker than even the Buddhism and Daoism's!"
Amitabha Buddha smiled and said, "The treasures of the primordial world, every sip and every bite, are preordained. Fellow Daoist, you were able to attain enlightenment in the past, that was preordained. Therefore, we did not stop that good corpse from seizing many opportunities. Today, the flag has fallen into my hands, that is also preordained, so why are you so demanding? Why not come with me to the Western Paradise, and I will give you half of this Buddhist path, asking you to be my deputy leader? Wouldn't that be better?"
Ao Tu listened but ignored him completely.
First, they cannot understand Amitabha Buddha's words, do not know the reasons behind them, and are even less certain whether they are true or false.
Secondly, he didn't believe in the old monk's character.
If they truly wanted him to be the Vice Sect Leader, why bother disguising themselves as Daoist and plotting against him before?
Seeing that Ao Tu ignored him, Amitabha Buddha had no choice but to unfurl his Treasure Banner, revealing a Green Lotus that blocked the Buddhism and Daoism and held up the Giant Axe.
Ao Tu manipulated the Pangu Phantom to swing the Giant Axe, but he could not cut through the Green Lotus.
Ao Tu had no choice but to mobilize more Blood Fiend power, Pangu Phantom solidified a bit more, as the Blood Fiend power that the demons had gathered over the past few years was now depleted.
Upon seeing this, the Blood Sea King threw himself into the great formation, his Fleshly Body splitting into twelve parts, which merged into the Pangu Phantom.
At this moment, the projection truly resembled the Pangu True Form.
Ao Tu manipulated the phantom and raised the Giant Axe once more.
Seeing that the situation was quite serious, and fearing that the Green Lotus might become unstable, Amitabha Buddha placed three Sarira on top of the Green Lotus to defend it.
Ao Tu brought his axe down.
Ten thousand lotus Lotus Flower bloom in the Green Lotus, and endless White Rainbow appear from the Sarira, illuminating the Three Thousand Great Daos.
Beside the Buddhist and Buddhism and Daoism, the Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, the Jade Emperor, and the Queen Mother all watched intently.
The Giant Axe fell, not striking the Sarira, nor the Green Lotus, nor the Buddhism and Daoism protected by the Sarira and the Green Lotus, but heading straight for the largest independent the Path beneath the Buddhism and Daoism Buddhism and Daoism, which was attached to it.
Earlier, when Ao Tu commanded the Pangu Phantom to unleash forty-nine Axe Light, he barely harmed the Buddhism and Daoism; he merely cleared away many branches. The fact that so much power was wasted couldn't possibly be solely for clearing branches.
Ao Tu's true purpose was to clear away the branches and find the the Path he had always wanted to find.
That is, the greatest the Path under Buddhism and Daoism and Daoism, the the Path of Shakyamuni.
Even Sage would not have anticipated Ao Tu's actions.
By the time Amitabha Buddha realized what was happening, the Axe Light had already struck.
Amitabha Buddha was greatly alarmed. Shakyamuni was the one he had personally chosen to preside over the great flourishing of Buddhism in this kalpa, and all his actions were in accordance with his wishes. How could something have happened to him?
Amitabha Buddha disregarded everything else and directly reached out to forcefully break the Axe Light.
As expected of Sage, Ao Tu's Pangu Axe light, which he emitted by Blood Sea Incarnation, was actually broken in half by Amitabha Buddha with his bare palm.
Only the other half remained, slashing across Shakyamuni's Great Dao and creating a gap in Dao Fruit enlightenment.
At the Great Thunderclap Temple on Spirit Mountain, the Tathagata Buddha sat atop Nine-Rank Golden Lotus, remaining unmoved amidst the many major events of the outside world.
Suddenly, his expression changed, and his the Path was inexplicably cleaved open, making him want to spit out golden blood.
With the the Monks present, the Tathagata Buddha had no choice but to endure the pain and use his great power to transfer the injury to the sole of his foot.
Suddenly, the little toe of the Tathagata Buddha's right foot fell off.
Maitreya Buddha and Dipankara Buddha were nearby; they saw them but remained silent.
The Medicine Buddha vaguely sensed something; it seemed the World-Honored One's aura was somewhat unstable, but not knowing the details, he remained silent.
The other monks below were unaware of what had happened.
Blood was gushing from the severed limb.
The Tathagata Buddha used his magic to stop the bleeding, but it was Dao Wound that couldn't be stopped by ordinary means. He could only use some saliva to plug the bleeding and then glue the severed toe back on.
The Tathagata Buddha felt helpless. He hadn't even stepped down from his Lotus Throne and was still sitting in the temple, yet he was still affected. This Great Calamity was truly perilous.
Ao Tu was about to raise his axe to strike again when he saw that Shakyamuni's Dao Fruit had already vanished.
Ao Tu thought to himself that the Tathagata Monk was shrewd and had escaped very quickly, so he had no choice but to turn the Axe Light towards Amitabha Buddha.
Amitabha Buddha used the Green Lotus Treasure-Color Banner and Sarira to block the Axe Light.
Ao Tu's activation of the Pangu Phantom was already extremely taxing, and now that he couldn't break through Amitabha Buddha's defenses, the drain on his resources was even more severe.
After several uses of Blood Fiend, the Blood Fiend energy accumulated by the demons had been exhausted.
Now, the Formation can only be maintained by absorbing the blood and energy of the demons themselves.
The demons of Lion Camel Ridge, the Demon King and generals under Ao Tu, Tiger Vanguard White Bone Spirit and others, including the seven Spider Demon with low cultivation, all sat down cross-legged and contributed their own blood energy into the formation.
Ao Tu knew that this was not a long-term solution, so he decided to retreat and prepared to let the demons leave first.
When he was preparing the Twelve Divine Fiends Formation of the Twelve Capitals, he actually planned to sacrifice the flesh and blood of the demons of Lion Camel Ridge. He even created a special Cultivation Technique for this purpose, but it was all to deal with the Tathagata Monk.
Even if all the Demon were sacrificed, it would be impossible to win against Amitabha Buddha now. Rather than wasting the lives of the demons, it would be better to save them for the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation later. Therefore, Ao Tu wanted to teach the demons to leave first.
At that time, at the Great Thunderclap Temple on Spirit Mountain, the Tathagata Buddha flicked his finger and chanted True Words.
On Ao Tu's side, a massive surge of blood energy suddenly merged into the formation, comparable to the combined blood energy of the previous demons.
It turns out to be the piece of Buddha's Tathagata and blood that Ao Tu threw into the formation before, and now it has completely turned into blood energy.
A surge of Evil Qi arose out of nowhere.
Ao Tu's eyes instantly filled with Evil Qi, as if he were about to kill Self.
Ao Tu looked towards Amitabha Buddha.
He thought to himself, why not sacrifice the demons and see what this old monk is capable of?
The demons below looked up and saw endless Evil Qi rolling down from Ao Tu's body. Terrified, they immediately dared not use the "Gratitude Technique" to offer their blood and energy again, and turned to flee.
Upon seeing this, Ao Tu's eyes flashed with evil light. He absorbed the blood essence of the fleeing demons, and the demons instantly transformed into a skin.
When Amitabha Buddha saw this, he shook his head and sighed.
Feeling the boundless Evil Qi within his grasp, Ao Tu couldn't help but laugh three times. He turned back to the Demon Daoist and said, "You all go first, I'll cover the rear!"
The demons were stunned for a moment upon hearing this.
Ao Tu laughed, "You didn't flee just now because you were loyal to me. How could I bear to harm those who are loyal to me? Old monk, that flesh and blood was your doing again! You underestimate me. This mere Evil Qi cannot shake my resolve!"
Amitabha Buddha, upon hearing this, said helplessly:
"I didn't create that flesh and blood. Besides, you yourself are the source of Evil Qi; at most, that Evil Qi only fueled it. How can that be considered a sneak attack? It's just that you're unwilling to admit it!"
Ao Tu, upon hearing this, did not believe him at all, and used the Pangu Phantom to slash at him with his axe.
Upon seeing this, the demons bowed three times and then fled.
Because the formation had absorbed too much of their blood energy, the demons were greatly weakened and their escape was slow.
The Vishnu Bodhisattva, who had been hiding behind Amitabha Buddha, was overjoyed upon seeing this and said:
"We cannot let these Demon Evil escape! Quickly, help me vanquish them!"
After saying this, he was the first to step forward and throw a Golden Gourd Buddha Hammer.
Tiger Vanguard had just left the Formation when the Buddha's Hammer came crashing down. Due to his weakened state, he had no way to dodge and was struck directly on the head by the hammer, breaking his horn and shattering his skull.
