Encountering a Monster at Zhenhai Temple (Nine)
Meanwhile, Ao Tu, wanting to attack the Minghe, instructed Wukong to invite the celestial beings of the Heavenly Realm to obstruct the journey to the Journey to the West.
Heavenly Realm.
Long before Ao Tu instructed Wukong to invite others, the Celestial Worthy Jade Emperor had already summoned Taibai Jinxing and secretly issued an edict, ordering Li Chang Geng to lead the Killing Star to the Lower Realm to assist Ao Tu in annihilating the Netherworld Blood Sea.
Because stability is paramount in the Three Realms, each region has its own administrators.
Only in that Blood Sea Asura Clan exist, outside the jurisdiction of the Three Realms and Six Paths. Although Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva exerted great power to transform the Asura Host into one of the Eight Legions of Heavenly Dragons of Buddhism, the other races still revere the Patriarch Styx, who is neither heavenly nor earthly nor human nor god nor ghost.
Other great Supernatural Ability beings, even if they live freely, still have a name in the Heavenly Realm, or are invited to the Peach Banquet, and have some interaction with them.
The Patriarch Styx was naturally solitary and unruly. He did not address the Three Pure Ones as Sage, but as fellow Daoists; he showed no respect to the Jade Emperor, treating him as a junior. He lived in the Netherworld Blood Sea, raising the Asura Host, and his claim that the Blood Sea would never dry up and the Minghe would never die was utterly absurd.
However, the Patriarch Styx was, after all, Ancient Times being with Supernatural Ability. The Blood Sea tolerated filth and made contributions to heaven and Heaven and Earth. Although no one cared about him, he did not rebel against heaven. The Jade Emperor was always benevolent, so he did not interfere with him.
At this time, the Celestial Worthy Jade Emperor secretly issued an edict, ordering Li Chang Geng to annihilate the Blood Sea Land. This was done under the pretext of Ao Tu, not because the Celestial Worthy Jade Emperor was cruel or ungrateful. The one Lower Realm realm was Li Chang Geng, not Taibai Jinxing.
Once Li Chang Geng received the order, he naturally knew who to appoint and how to carry it out.
Meanwhile, at the Great Thunderclap Temple on Spirit Mountain.
The Tathagata Buddha summoned five hundred Arhats, Three Thousand Sangharama Asura Host, and said:
"The Jiuhua Dharma Assembly imminent. Go to the Emerald Cloud Palace in the Netherworld Realm and listen to the instructions of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva."
The Dragon-Subduing Arhat rose and said, "The World-Honored One has no Bell Keeper to ring the bell; he must have misremembered the time. The Jiuhua Dharma Assembly Lower Realm is still over a hundred years away!"
Upon hearing this, the Tathagata Buddha chuckled and said, "The Dragon-Subduing Arhat has not descended to the Lower Realm realm to undergo tribulations for a long time, and his Buddhist Dharma have become dulled! Go! Go!"
As he spoke, he opened his palm and pushed all the Arhats, Sangharama, and Asuras out.
The Monks had no choice but to head to the Emerald Cloud Palace.
On the other side, Wukong hid in front of Heavenly King Li's memorial tablet for a while.
The Rat Spirit, not seeing Wukong, turned back.
Seeing that the Rat Spirit had gone back, Wukong came out and called Bajie and Sha Wujing in. He explained what had happened, instructed the two to stay and look after their master, and then went up to the mortal realm.
Bajie was overjoyed to have a feast to eat.
Sha Wujing, however, was more concerned about Tang Sanzang's safety and said he wanted to see his master.
Ao Tu arranged for the two to stay.
At that time, the Rat Spirit had been trying to seduce Tang Sanzang for a long time without any success. No matter how charming and seductive she was, Tang Sanzang just sat there chanting scriptures. When she tried to grab his hand, hug his neck, or put her arm around his shoulder, Tang Sanzang remained as still as an old tree root.
The Rat Spirit lost patience, its face hardening, and it began to contemplate forcibly taking the Primordial Yang.
At this moment, Ao Tu arranged for Bajie and Sha Wujing to come over. Seeing this, the Rat Spirit could not take the rat by force, so she had no choice but to turn to Ao Tu and cry, saying with tears in her eyes:
"My sister is utterly loyal to her brother, why should he break his promise to me?"
Ao Tu asked, "When have I ever broken my promise to you?"
The Rat Spirit said, "Brother said he would capture Tang Sanzang in the cave and let me do whatever I wanted with him, but now he's sent his two disciples here. Isn't that breaking his promise?"
Ao Tu said, "I said you could tempt him as you pleased, and if Tang Sanzang was tempted, he would be at your mercy. Now that you've failed to tempt him, why blame me?"
The Rat Spirit said, "How could I not seduce him? I was just about to lock that old monk up, feed him Poison, and torture him to lure him into submission. But my brother brought his two disciples here, and now I can't do it!"
Upon hearing this, Ao Tu couldn't help but curse, "You're a human being! That old monk has no grudge against you, no enmity whatsoever. You tried to seduce him, so you resorted to Poison and private torture. What a wicked and wicked woman!"
The Rat Spirit felt deeply wronged, tears welling in her eyes. She said, "Brother, you always side with outsiders! I'm not even human, and I didn't use any force. You only used ordinary methods, yet you still call me a harlot and a wicked woman. In your eyes, I'm never good!"
Upon hearing this, Ao Tu laughed in anger. Poison and private torture were considered ordinary methods? So he reached out and grabbed her in his palm, selected fifteen kinds of Yin materials and three kinds of Yang materials from his body, refined them into an Old Yin Pill, and stuffed it into the Rat Spirit's mouth, causing her to be poisoned and cry out in agony.
After three days, the poison gradually dissipated and yang energy began to grow. Only then did Ao Tu release her, saying, "Do you know you were wrong?"
The Rat Spirit had suffered terribly over the past three days, and was soaking wet. It hurriedly Earthly Way, "I know I was wrong! I know I was wrong!"
Ao Tu nodded and told her to leave.
The Rat Spirit dared not have any other thoughts, and could only try every day to tempt Tang Sanzang, but Tang Sanzang remained unmoved.
Besides this, Wukong went up to the Heavenly Realm, passed through the South Heaven Gate, and headed straight for the Cloud Tower Palace.
Upon arriving at the palace, they saw the Third Prince practicing swordsmanship inside.
Wukong laughed and said, "Third Prince, congratulations! Congratulations!"
Upon seeing Nezha, Nezha sheathed his sword and said, "You Monkey, you have no manners at all! You came in without even announcing yourself. What brings you here? Have you encountered another Demon on your Journey to the West?"
Wukong laughed and said, "No! No! It's good news! I congratulate you on your arrival!"
Nezha asked in confusion, "What are you congratulating me on?"
Wukong said, "Congratulations on your sister's marriage Dao Companion Ao Tu! I've come to deliver the invitation to you!" With that, Wukong took out the invitation.
Upon hearing this, Nezha was greatly alarmed. He took the invitation and glanced at it. His phoenix eyebrows furrowed, and his face turned red with anger. He said, "Well, so this wicked Demon Dragon had such intentions!" He then drew his Demon-Slaying Sword and went to get his Demon-Chopping Saber.
Wukong asked, "Why are you carrying swords and knives?"
Nezha said, "Cut the dragon's flesh with a knife, and pluck its tendons with a sword!"
Wukong exclaimed in surprise, "Third Prince, we're all family, don't go too far!"
Nezha said, "Who's related to that damned Demon Dragon? Get out of my way, or I'll chop your monkey head to pieces!"
Wukong quickly stepped aside, Nezha leaped up his Wind Fire Wheels, not even changing his armor, and went straight out of the South Heaven Gate to the Lower Realm.
The Heavenly King Guangmu called out, "Third Prince, where are you going?"
Nezha said, "Lower Realm and exorcise demons!"
Seeing that Nezha had left in anger, Wukong was a little confused. He originally wanted to go and ask Heavenly King Li for help again, but he was afraid that Heavenly King Li would also be angry, so he decided to go and find Taibai Jinxing first.
On the way, they happened to encounter the Bull Demon King and several Star Lodges.
Wukong then gave him the post and explained the reason.
Several Star Lodges read the post and agreed to the Lower Realm for the banquet. They also said they would deliver the other posts to other Star Lodges along the way, so that Wukong wouldn't have to travel back and forth.
Wukong was overjoyed and handed over all the invitations from the Twenty-Eight Mansions.
After they parted ways, Wukong found Taibai Jinxing and handed him the invitation.
Taibai Jinxing has some inside information. After reading the post, he said:
"Great Sage, rest assured, I have already mustered all the necessary manpower and will descend to the Lower Realm immediately."
Wukong asked in confusion, "Why are you calling for manpower?"
Taibai Jinxing said, "Isn't this invitation from His Great King to a banquet to discuss matters?"
Wukong said, "What business is this? This is Ao Tu and Heavenly King Li's beloved daughter becoming Dao Companion, and they've invited you to their wedding feast!"
Taibai Jinxing exclaimed in surprise, "What?"
