In the chaotic institute lobby, disorganized staff crowded around, not daring to approach. They had all just seen this young man wipe the floor with every security guard, so naturally they dared not come closer.
Meanwhile, the institute's strongest fighter, its director, was wreathed in scarlet flames, red fur growing wildly over him. In the blink of an eye, his transformation into a monster was nearly ninety percent complete, with only a few traces of human features remaining on his face.
When a monster took human form, the head was the hardest part to transform. When a human took monster form, the head was still the hardest part.
"You even did this to yourself?" Yue Wen muttered, walking forward with his sword.
"I was the Red Fox Project's most successful test subject to begin with. Without my creation, none of them would have had the chance to participate in this project." As the director transformed, his features grew increasingly hideous. "The Red Fox Project can create perfect Demon-Blood Humans like me. Why must you destroy it?"
Yue Wen pointed at him. "You call that perfect?"
"Roar!" The director bellowed, his body erupting with power as he hurtled toward Yue Wen.
As he charged, the Demon Flame around him burst apart, sending three streams out around him. They formed four identical Demon Shadows that attacked Yue Wen from four directions at once.
A cloning technique?
Yue Wen spread his Divine Sense. All four figures felt solid, and he could not distinguish the real one from the fakes at all. They might very well all possess the same offensive power.
