• Yue Wen took Hundred Qi Pills and a Following Talisman from the Dragon Hall’s support team, simulated demonic aura, and went to meet Qimo Li.
• Yue Wen claimed that his original body had been destroyed while fighting a seventh-realm soul and that he needed resources to recover his cultivation.
• Yue Wen told Qimo Li that he could spy on the human army’s deployment to the Black Sand Realm, and she agreed to let him remain undercover pending the Blue Throne’s decision.
• Yue Wen demanded dao source profound crystals, healing medicines, and talisman currency, and Qimo Li agreed to report his demands.
• Qimo Li warned Yue Wen that his disguise was unconvincing and told him to act more like a human Heavenly Prodigy; after leaving, Yue Wen wondered how to do that.

Gong Yao was captured while trying to flee the Dragon Hall and confessed to her history with the Nightmare God Divine Cult and its leader, Wang Jiangchen. Yue Wen proposed that she help him impersonate the Mirror Nightmare Wraith and destroy the cult, leaving her considering the plan.

• Ao Yuanzhong intercepted Gong Yao as she tried to escape the Dragon Hall and imprisoned her.
• Gong Yao told Ao Yuanzhong and Perfected One Nagiko that she had once been the Nightmare God Divine Cult's Southern Protector, He Nanyan, before reincarnating as Gong Yao.
• Gong Yao explained that Wang Jiangchen had contacted her again and ordered her to befriend Yue Wen and prepare to replace him with the Mirror Nightmare Wraith.
• Yue Wen appeared unharmed and offered to help free Gong Yao from the Nightmare God Seal if she helped him impersonate the Mirror Nightmare Wraith and attack the cult.
• Yue Wen demonstrated his convincing, eerie impersonation, and Gong Yao said the plan might be worth trying.
