The Sonia Fleet
In reality, being a naval informant isn't exactly a desirable role at sea. The seas are mostly populated by Pirate and adventurers, both of whom are likely to end up on the Wanted List, so they generally dislike the role of an informant.
However, Kronos still envied this kind of instant fame and success, and didn't want to give it up.
So Kronos asked somewhat embarrassedly, "May I make a request?"
Amyrius said directly, "Tell me."
"Could you send someone to spread a Message after the war? Say that I survived because I was bombed in the Southern Continent and went through countless hardships, so I hate the Vice Admiral Iron Blood and chose to cooperate with the Navy to eliminate him this time."
This is called cultivating one's own persona. Becoming a Navy informant for no reason would be despised, but if it's for revenge, Kronos believes there would be far fewer people who would reject it.
There was indeed no such thing as a "persona" in this era, but Amyrius's life experience made him instantly understand Kronos's purpose.
"That won't have a big impact. I'll just arrange for a few reliable people to spread the word."
Seeing that Amyrius had agreed, Kronos immediately agreed as well, "Very well, I'll accompany Your Excellency Admiral to witness naval Naval Battle, and I can also try my hand at it."
"Alright, then five days from now. Arrive at the Navy Base entrance at seven in the morning, and someone will escort you onto the ship."
"Admiral, are you going too?" Kronos asked curiously, as he had never seen Demigod make a move before.
Amyrius chuckled softly. "I'd like to, but I can't. The war isn't over yet; I have to hold this place."
In fact, the important position of Bayam was not held by just one Demigod. The one who was publicly acknowledged was also the Cardinal of the Church of Storms, "Sea King" Aarn Kottman.
However, since Amyrius cannot even leave Bayam, it means that Bayam may currently only have Amyrius as its sole Demigod.
The other Demigod were probably doing other important things, which made Kronos a little curious, but he couldn't possibly ask them.
"Admiral Your Excellency, I hope that I will be using my alias— Klein Norman —and I will be wearing a full suit of armor. This will likely become my signature, so that when I set sail again, people will recognize me immediately."
"Don't tell me I can't remember. Just tell Lü Er'an. He'll be the one doing it anyway," Amyrius ordered, too lazy to even remember.
So after leaving Amyrius's office, Kronos carefully explained everything to Lü Er'an before leaving the Navy Base with peace of mind.
Since there were still five days left, Kronos believed that this was more than enough time for him to optimize another Spell.
Now that Kronos has just completed the optimization of Sequence 9 Spell, the most important thing now is to continue researching Sequence 8 Spell.
However, the Spell of Sequence 8 are a bit special. They correspond to the Sheriff's "Territory-Sealing Spell, which can delineate a portion of territory, allowing the caster to move more freely within that territory.
However, given the impending operation to eliminate the Vice Admiral Iron Blood, this Territory-Sealing Spell becomes far less useful.
On the contrary, the Spell "Mind Piercing" and "Whip of Affliction," which correspond to Sequence 7, can greatly enhance Kronos's combat power, although the success rate of researching them is slightly lower.
Kronos has never had a problem making decisions, so after a little thought, he decided to optimize the Whip of Affliction first.
Five days later, Kronos forced open Sharf's room and then knocked Sharf unconscious.
This guy actually locked his room because he was afraid that Kronos would take away his Beyonder Item and affect his research progress.
Kronos would not tolerate such behavior.
Kronos is about to face a battle to wipe out the Pirate General, and he will not give up until he is armed to the teeth.
Besides, Sharf had been in this room for more than ten days. He was awake when Kronos woke up, and he was still awake when Kronos went to sleep. It felt like he was not far from sudden death.
Even without any Beyonder Item, Kronos would have broken down the door sooner or later.
Having taken all his Beyonder Item, Kronos rode in Sharf's carriage straight to the Navy Base.
At the Gate of the Navy Base, Lü Er'an was already waiting for him.
After Kronos arrived, Lü Er'an led him to the Harbor and then boarded a large ship.
"Mr. Klein, the main battle fleet of the Sonia Fleet is currently standing beneath your feet. After returning to reinforce East Balam, the Second Fleet went to pursue Intis's Redfire Fleet, while the main force, the First Fleet, returned to Bayam."
"Originally, it would have been enough to wipe out a Pirate vice admiral; such a high-level operation wouldn't have been necessary. However, after His Your Excellency reported the operation to his superiors, they deemed it a sign of the Loen Kingdom's counterattack and therefore granted special permission for the Sonia Fleet to set sail."
Such words should naturally not be spoken to a "naval informant," but Lü Er'an was one of only two people in the entire Navy Base who knew Kronos's identity, so he naturally wouldn't hide it from him too much.
After introducing the fleet, Lü Er'an continued by introducing the commander, "The commander of this fleet is General Salandon, a man who deserves special mention. He is a rare high-ranking general in the army who is not Beyonder."
"This man believes that mad forces are not to be trusted, and that the military is far more reliable. So he might have some reservations about you, but since he's on his side, you should still go along with him."
"I heard that his health has never been very good, so he didn't dare to become Beyonder. Later, he completely distrusted the abilities of Extraordinary, but he has strong leadership skills, so he is highly valued."
While Lü Er'an was saying these things, Kronos didn't speak; he simply memorized them one by one.
"But General Salandon still respects the Admiral, so you shouldn't have any major conflicts. The Admiral has also communicated with him; he will leave you an opponent you deem worthy, but you need to guarantee victory. If you lose, you will pay the price: an Beyonder Characteristic of the same Sequence."
At this point, Kronos couldn't hold back any longer, "You guys are pretty ruthless, aren't you? Trying to get Gloves?"
Lü Er'an glanced at him and then said, "You can choose not to play, that's fine, but your entrance show won't be as impressive. You can decide for yourself."
Beyonder Characteristic are minor matters, but reputation and image are major issues.
"Secretary Lü Er'an, do you have any information on our opponents? Let me take a look; that way we can better choose our opponents."
Lü Er'an truly lived up to his reputation as a top-notch Secretary; everything was already prepared. He handed over the bag in his hand. "This contains the basic information of the entire Iron-Blooded Pirate Group. I believe you wouldn't choose opponents below Sequence 8, so I only compiled the information above."
"It will take the fleet more than two days to reach the agreed location, so you'd better finish reading it quickly, then go to General Salandon and finalize your opponent as soon as possible. This way, General Salandon can formulate a battle plan. If you disrupt his plans, even with Admiral Amyrius's influence, you will still pay a price."
Kronos nodded, then took the bag from his hand without saying anything.
Soon, the two arrived at General Salandon's operations room.
"General Salandon, this is Mr. Klein. The Message you received came from him. General Amyrius asked me to bring him here," Lü Er'an said respectfully after saluting Sallandon.
Kronos had initially intended to Consciousness a salute, but then suddenly Consciousness his current status made it inappropriate, and forcibly restrained himself from doing so.
"Alright, Admiral Amyrius already told me. Lü Er'an, you go ahead, I'll take care of the man."
General Salandon looked much older than Amyrius, and he was full of energy, which was quite unlike what Lü Er'an had said about his poor health.
The Majesty in his voice was quite different from Amyrius's; it was closer to the style of Duke Negan. Neither of them emanated their own strength, but rather the power they wielded.
Lü Er'an responded and then left the command room.
"Klein, is it? This is the first time I've met someone like you who actively exposes Pirate. Aren't you afraid that any who escaped might retaliate against you?"
"Your Excellency, I'm preparing to return to the Northern Continent. This bombardment on the Southern Continent has taught me that the sea is far too dangerous. So, after avenging this incident, I will head to Backlund." This was all a statement he had rehearsed with Lü Er'an beforehand, so it couldn't be wrong.
Sallandon wasn't trying to identify anything; it was just casual conversation.
"Have you chosen your opponent? Actually, I don't recommend you do this. After all, large-scale operations can easily result in friendly fire. You might as well stay here in the command room with me."
Kronos quickly replied, "Secretary Lü Er'an just gave me Information about the Iron-Blooded Pirate Group. I'll be able to decide on our opponent this afternoon. Your Excellency, I'm sure I won't delay anything important."
Sallandon sighed as he listened to Kronos's words.
With his many years of experience, he naturally understood that Beyonder believed more in the power they possessed, and once upon a time, he too had been a young man who yearned for extraordinary power.
But Fate gave him a brilliant mind, but not a healthy body, so he was no match for the effects of the Potion.
Don't be fooled by his current robust health; only he knows how much he has sacrificed to maintain this state.
Actually, there has always been a misunderstanding. He has never looked down on Beyonder. The emotion he exudes is not contempt, but Envy.
