Leaving safely
After the Ancient Sun God was corrupted by God Almighty, she sensed her Fate and joined the Rose Redemption. Together with the Dark Angel, the Evernight Goddess, and other God, as well as the King of Angel, she assassinated the Ancient Sun God, using death to cleanse him of the corruption.
However, at the crucial moment, the three King of Angel— Wind, White, and Wisdom—betrayed him. They devoured the body of the Ancient Sun God, seizing the Uniqueness and Sequence 1 characteristic of the three Pathway, causing the Ancient Sun God's Resurrection to fail.
The Dark Angel Sasrir had no choice but to retrieve the Beyonder Characteristic of the Hanged Man Pathway at the last minute, and merge it with the extreme emotions of the original body before its fall and a part of its corpse, transforming it into the mad True God "True Creator".
After the death of the Ancient Sun God, Ouroboros chose to continue serving the True Creator and joined the Solomon Empire of the Black Emperor Solomon, who was allied with the True Creator, during the Era of the Gods.
After the fall of the Black Emperor, he led a group of devout Pilgrims or the remaining followers of the "True Creator" to the Forsaken Land of the Gods by ship, pursued by many powerful enemies, and preserved the Fire Seed of organizations such as the "Rose Redemption" and the "Aurora Order".
In reality, the so-called Divine Kingdom of the True Creator is nothing more than Forsaken Land of the Gods. How could a mad God build Divine Kingdom for himself?
Therefore, a chance to go to the Forsaken Land of the Gods is truly not as valuable as a drop of Ouroboros's blood.
So after hearing Kronos's conditions, Mr. A calmed down completely.
"Um... sir, are there no other trading methods?"
Kronos knew the deal wouldn't be easy to reach, but he had long since given up on the idea of a deal; he only mentioned Ouroboros's name to make Mr. A wary.
"I don't need anything for now. You should look for the Mysticologist's Potion Formula first. I'll let you know if you have any other needs later."
Hearing that Kronos hadn't ruled out the possibility of a definitive answer, Mr. A relaxed a bit and became less anxious.
In fact, from the very beginning, Mr. A never intended to "murder and rob"; it was entirely Kronos's own imagination.
Mr. A has been able to run Backlund for so long, even though he is essentially a Lunatic, but one who still has his Lunatic for most of the time.
Unless it's something very important, Mr. A rarely causes trouble in Backlund, because the price to pay is really high, and a slight misstep could lead to complete failure.
After Kronos mentioned some high-level secrets, Mr. A became even more certain that the person in front of him was no ordinary person, and naturally, he would not choose to make a rash move.
So the conversation between Kronos and Mr. A ended there; no deal was made, no promises were made, and that was that.
After Kronos left the room and was out of Mr. A's sight, he took a deep breath; his back was soaked with sweat.
But Kronos has already figured out how to make Sequence 5 Skill Scroll, and if he has enough "ammunition," he wouldn't be so afraid.
Kronos was so afraid because he felt completely helpless, as if he were being held firmly in someone's grasp.
"I can't take such risks next time. Whether it's Fence Association or Mr. A's party, I absolutely can't attend if I'm not fully armed," Kronos silently resolved in his heart.
Although Kronos was terrified, he still had to appear calm and collected on the surface. After returning to the Trading Hall, he strolled around leisurely and even sat on a sofa for a while.
In his heart, he wished he could run far away right now, but he couldn't be sure if Mr. A was still watching him.
The main point is to put yourself in others' shoes. Now, if someone from Sequence 8 suddenly appears and tells Kronos that he has the Mysticologist's Potion Formula and is offering a very high price, what would that mean?
If this price truly requires Kronos to pay a considerable price, Kronos might actually choose to detain this person and subject him to severe torture.
If you really can't get this person to talk, then Hypnosis or even murder and Spirit Channeling are indeed good options.
Kronos believed that although he was a bit ruthless, he was definitely not a "Lunatic," so in his eyes, the Lunatic of the Aurora Order were much more ruthless than himself.
However, he forgot to consider one thing: he was, after all, the heir to a Marquis, and the power behind him allowed him to do many things with impunity.
In this day and age, even if the Argel Family has fallen on hard times, a murder charge is still enough to cover it up. Kronos knew this, which is why he dared to think this way.
The Aurora Society behind Mr. A Aurora Order indeed powerful, consisting of a True God and an King of Angel. If this True God weren't so insane, their strength would even surpass that of a True God Churches.
Unfortunately, the Aurora Order is Secret Organizations, an evil organization.
Therefore, when Mr. A has a brain, he cannot act recklessly for his own sake; he needs to consider the influence of the Aurora Order in Backlund.
If his own actions attract the attention of the True God Churches and cause problems later on, even if no one Punishment him, he himself will not let himself off the hook.
How could a Fanatic of the Lord allow himself to ruin the opportunity for the Lord's Descent?
That's precisely why Kronos was quite safe at this Trading Gathering, though he himself was unaware of it.
Kronos barely made it through the Trading Gathering in this unsafe environment, and as everyone else left, he followed the crowd out.
Just as he reached the door, a servant beside the Gate stepped forward and stood in front of Kronos, startling Kronos into thinking that Mr. A was about to make a move.
"Sir, this is from Mr. A. He said it's a small gift, and it contains his contact information. You can use that to contact him." The servant handed Kronos a small box with both hands.
Seeing that he showed no intention of making a move, Kronos was relieved and then took the box.
"Okay, I'll accept it. Please pass on my thanks."
After leaving the Villa, Kronos went straight into a small alley and started running wildly, not caring whether he knew the way or not, just quickly getting away from his surroundings.
When he reappeared on the main road, not only had his Cloak disappeared, but his face had also changed.
Kronos looked around to make sure he was safe before finding a carriage on the road and heading towards his Villa in the West Borough.
Inside the carriage, Kronos opened the box that the servant had handed him at the end.
Inside the box were two things. On top was a small card. Kronos saw an address written on it and noted that he could write to him at this address and he would reply according to the mailing address.
Since they weren't Beyonder through the Death Pathway, even those at Sequence 5 didn't have Messenger, so they had to resort to more primitive methods of communication.
Beneath the card was a smaller box. Kronos took out the box but didn't open it immediately, because his Spirituality had already detected a slight fluctuation, indicating that the contents inside possessed extraordinary power.
Therefore, Kronos cautiously activated his Eyes of Mystery Prying first, wanting to confirm it.
Under the observation of the Eyes of Mystery Prying, Kronos clearly saw something within it, which appeared to be a Charm.
Immediately afterwards, Kronos began to observe using the Eye of Time. The Charm inside were clearly not of a high level, so rewinding time did not consume much Spirituality.
Kronos soon realized that the Charm wasn't even placed there by Mr. A himself; it was probably just randomly assigned to someone to put it inside. This put Kronos at ease.
Kronos was so cautious for two reasons: first, he feared there might be something dangerous inside, and second, he feared that Mr. A might do something to target him.
It seems there are no such problems now, so Kronos became a little bolder and opened the small box.
The Eyes of Mystery Prying ' observation revealed nothing wrong; the box contained only a Charm.
The Charm also came with a note explaining, "Shadow Charm, allows one to hide in the shadows for half an hour, can be used three times."
Kronos knew that Sequence 7 of the Hanged Man Pathway was the Shadow Ascetic, who could hide in the shadows and use the power of shadows to covertly track enemies.
The power of this Charm likely comes from this Sequence. While Charm power level isn't very high, it's still quite practical and would be a rather valuable gift.
Kronos maintained his Eyes of Mystery Prying and then picked up the Charm, solely to prevent any hidden features he hadn't initially noticed.
He studied it for a long time and ultimately felt it was quite safe, as there were no traces of contrivance or contamination from the True Creator.
Kronos had no intention of having any further contact with Mr. A, as the experience had been so terrible, but this sincere gift changed Kronos mind somewhat.
It seems my preconceived notions about Mr. A based on the original work were a bit too strong. This person can be a bit crazy when it comes to his beliefs and organization, but he seems alright in general.
However, Kronos no longer wanted to experience that feeling of unease, so he knew he had to be prepared the next time he saw Mr. A.
At the very least, you need to thoroughly research the Sequence 5 abilities of the Justiciar and the Black Emperor, and then make sure that the Skill Scroll you have stored are at a level where you can "bombard the ground with artillery fire".
Only firepower could give him a sense of security, and only after he had that sense of security would Kronos consider seeing Mr. A again.
