Preparations
If the Butler meets Jason a few more times, that will be enough for Kronos to make his arrangements, and then it will be time to close the net.
Upon hearing Kronos's request, the Butler naturally agreed and suggested that Kronos could go with him.
Kronos's purpose was not in this regard, so he naturally did not agree.
But before leaving, the Butler told Kronos that he would be hosting Banquet at the Kain Club that night, to truly begin testing the waters with the shareholders.
This was naturally useful Message for Kronos, meaning he could investigate today.
That afternoon, Kronos left the Research Center and went to his Villa in the West Borough.
When Jason left home at seven o'clock, Kronos sneaked into Jason's house just like last time.
The only difference this time was that the meat containing the drug was enhanced through Taming Food Bowl, and Kronos wanted to know if he could tame the Devil Dog in this way.
When the Devil Dog ate the piece of meat, Kronos concluded that if Qing's taming level was 80%, then the Devil Dog's taming level was -300%.
It's unclear whether this is because the dog is only loyal to Jason, or because this particular Pathway is inherently Pathway.
Kronos felt that the kind of betrayal by Paranormal Creature he feared could easily occur within this Pathway.
Criminal, Coldblooded, Serial Killer, Devil, Desire Apostle, Demon... just hearing these names makes you feel like you've maxed out all the negative buffs.
Kronos had originally thought that if he could tame the dog, he could keep it as a pet, since Qing's combat ability was indeed somewhat lacking, and having this dog could make up for it.
But Kronos no longer has that thought. Although his combat power is high enough, Kronos really can't stand being attacked from behind.
After defeating the Hellhound, Kronos entered Jason's House and continued using the Eye of Time to search for the Small Hole in the wall.
During this time, Kronos was constantly thinking about how to utilize these Small Hole.
Simply pinpointing his location only allows you to defend against his attacks, but if you make some preparations, you can catch Jason off guard.
For this reason, Kronos even consulted Mr. Todd.
Mr. Todd was originally from the Republic of Intis, but due to some events, he fled all the way to Loen and was eventually rescued by Marquis Argel.
His experience and Pathway could provide Kronos with many ideas.
According to Mr. Todd, Beyonder of the Abyss Pathway are afraid of abilities of the Sun Pathway. This Pathway is not the most powerful, but it is indeed more lethal against things like the Wraith and Devil.
It just so happens that Kronos met a Scarlet Scholar a few days ago, so he can order a batch of Purification Potions and spray them into this pipe.
If Jason were to crawl inside without his knowledge, the intense discomfort would be indescribable.
Furthermore, Todd suggested that Kronos could block most of the Small Hole, leaving only a few pre-arranged spots open, so that he could catch Jason off guard on his escape route.
The only problem is how to plug these Small Hole.
And this problem is easy to solve.
Actually, it's not difficult to plug these Small Hole; the difficulty lies in doing so without Jason noticing.
Kronos didn't have that much time, and plugging all the Small Hole at once would be very time-consuming, so the best approach was simply not to plug them at all.
All we need to do is Distortion Jason's destination when he tries to escape, give him a plausible reason to walk into the trap we've set.
This gives Kronos two opportunities to strike Jason, and with the Purification Potions in the pipe, that should be enough for Kronos to kill Jason.
To this end, Kronos deliberately took out two Beyonder Item of Sequence 5 from the family Storeroom, in order to complete his planned scheme.
After the Banquet that evening, the Butler sent someone with his assessment of the shareholders.
This judgment differed from the Butler's initial idea, but it aligned with Kronos's.
None of these shareholders were willing to sell their shares.
These people are indeed unaware of the true size of Kain Bank, but Kain Bank has never lost money and has always paid out a substantial dividend every year. If it weren't for the large Premium, it wouldn't be worthwhile no matter how you look at it.
However, the Argel Family could not accept the large Premium, so they could only rely on the Butler to slowly work on these people's attitudes.
However, Kronos felt the situation wasn't very optimistic; unless he resorted to some underhanded tactics, it would be difficult to completely convince everyone.
But it doesn't matter anymore, Kronos doesn't care either; in the end, the worst that can happen is that they'll just acquire it at Premium.
This so-called Premium is nothing more than a drop in the ocean for the Argel Family.
He didn't take Marquis Argel or Kronos seriously.
All Kronos cared about was when Jason would leave home again.
The last time Kronos figured out the location of the Small Hole inside the Villa, he almost exhausted Kronos Spirituality just to find Small Hole. Moreover, there were more on the Villa's outer walls, and Kronos also needed to find the Villa's Basement.
This Basement is where Jason committed the murder. In the original comics, the Machinery Hivemind discovered this location during their raid, but Kronos hasn't found it yet.
The Villa's Basement was openly displayed, but Kronos found nothing inside, leading him to suspect there must be Secret Room within.
However, he wasn't very good at finding these things, so he would have to use the Eye of Time to find them later.
These tasks will require Kronos to go once or twice more; there's no rush.
There are still many things to prepare, such as the Purification Potions. Kronos has already sent people to search for it according to the location left by Ernes, hoping to buy more Purification Potions.
The person who returned told Kronos that Ernes only had forty or fifty bottles in stock. If he wanted more, Ernes could have any available members of the Sanguine make them, but it would require some payment for their labor.
In reality, given Kronos's "connections," Sanguine wouldn't normally charge money for such a small favor. However, Ernes felt it would be too fake not to charge him. Kronos clearly didn't know that someone in the Sanguine was protecting him, and that powerful figure didn't want Kronos to know either, which is why he accepted the money.
But it's just a small fee for their time; the materials are charged at cost price.
This decision also earned Ernes praise from above, who all thought he had done a good job.
Kronos was flush with cash, and the deposit was delivered to Ernes that very day. Then, the entire Sanguine in Backlund sprang into action, and all members were recalled.
The Sequence 6 Baron and the Sequence 5 Viscount were focused on creating the Potions, while the Low Sequence Sanguine assisted them.
With such a large group working together, they produced the quantity required by Kronos in less than five days.
"Mr. Ernes, thank you so much this time. Without your help, I wouldn't have been able to get so many Potions." Kronos came in person on the day of the delivery, to show his respect and to try to build a closer relationship.
Being on good terms with such a force is definitely beneficial and harmless, and this incident is a perfect example. No matter how rich the Argel Family is, they could never have acquired so many Potions, yet the Backlund Sanguine alone gathered them all in just five days.
These are only the clansmen below the level of Demigod. If the Earl of Demigod, or even the sleeping Marquis, were to join the fight, the power they would possess would be unimaginable.
However, Kronos was unaware that the Sanguine were already protecting him, so he wanted to maintain close contact with them.
"It's all a small matter. Didn't I take money too? Although the Sanguine is large and powerful, it's hard to say what happens to each Sanguine member. Those from prominent families naturally don't have to worry about food and clothing, but people like us don't live as comfortably."
"I only made it because I have decent talent, but for those Sanguine with average talent, your money can allow them to live a good life for a while. So we're just getting what we need, there's no need to take it so seriously."
Kronos wasn't stupid; he naturally knew the exaggeration in that statement.
Purification Potions are a relatively common type of Potions, and their prices are clear and transparent. Although Kronos requires a large quantity, so there might be some discounts, I've never seen them available for only 40% of the market price.
Kronos didn't think about it in any other way; he just felt that this Sanguine was quite nice, and perhaps he wanted to befriend him.
"Thank you so much. I know you gave me a special price, but this time it was because the demand was quite high. Please don't do this again next time."
Ernes chuckled and said, "If you were just buying Potions for one person, it certainly wouldn't be this price. But since it's a large quantity, the price isn't up to me. Our Executives think this price is appropriate, so it's the price we set. I have no power to interfere."
Kronos said, "That's easy. I'll give you some more money. You can distribute it to my Sanguine brothers for me. We can't let them suffer losses."
Hearing this, Ernes laughed, "You dare to give it, but I dare not accept it. Otherwise, go find them all and give it to them one by one."
Kronos was helpless, but that was all he could do; he could consider it owing someone a favor.
Anyway, I want to be on good terms with them. Once I owe them a favor, I will naturally have to repay it. As we repay each other, our relationship will naturally improve. Relationships are built through interaction, and this favor can become a reason for our existing relationship.
