The Kusanagi Sword did not thrust down. The tree roots in front of its tip closed first, trapping the three ninja blades at Killer B's chest between them.
Killer B twisted his waist and exerted his strength. Seven tails of his Tailed Beast Cloak swept across the ground, pushing rubble and archive pages toward both sides of the gorge and snapping the tree roots.
Using that momentum, he flipped backward, bringing the two short blades in his hands down in a cross toward Sasuke's shoulder and neck.
Sasuke raised his sword to catch the blades. Lightning flashed up into the air along all three weapons as his left hand formed hand seals. Several more wooden branches emerged from underground and wound toward Killer B's ankles.

Killer B stomped through the branches, and two chakra tails behind him stabbed toward the main recording array.
Neji darted in front of the array, striking repeatedly with both palms. His Gentle Fist chakra knocked the tails off course.

Sasuke turned sideways to avoid a horizontal slash at his waist. The Kusanagi Sword deflected the short blade behind Killer B's neck, and the six-pointed star in his right eye spun. Black flames rose from the ground, sealing off his opponent's escape route to the right.
Killer B immediately drew back his blades, wrapped his legs in his Tailed Beast Cloak, and forced his way toward the cliff on the left.
