Arc 5Kumogakure’s Surrender

Sasuke exposed Itachi’s crimes, then turned Kumogakure’s threats against Konoha into a public case for war and led a campaign that forced the village to surrender. The arc ended with negotiations over the New Lightning-Leaf Treaty turning violent when A refused Sasuke’s demand for the Lightning Release Armor scrolls.

  • Sasuke publicly tried Itachi, broadcast evidence of the massacre and Danzo’s orders, confiscated Itachi’s Mangekyo, and sent him to life imprisonment.
  • Sasuke uncovered Itachi’s hidden memories and evidence implicating Obito, then shifted attention to Kumogakure’s ultimatum and plans to seize bloodlines.
  • Sasuke exposed Dodai Nobuyoshi’s memories and Kumogakure’s schemes, imposed sanctions, and confronted Killer B after he crossed into the Land of Fire.
  • Sasuke broadcast records of Kumogakure’s past abductions and killings as he defeated Killer B and captured the Eight-Tails.
  • As sanctions and internal unrest weakened Kumogakure, Sasuke led Konoha troops through its defenses and exposed the elders’ diverted supplies and planned retreat.
  • Sasuke’s forces disabled Kumogakure’s defenses and Heavenly Lightning Array, protected civilian districts, and forced A to sign the instrument of surrender.
  • Sasuke opened treaty negotiations before village and Daimyo witnesses, exposed an elder’s theft, and demanded compensation, northern mining territory, and Kumogakure’s Lightning Release Armor scrolls.
  • A refused Sasuke’s final demand and charged at him.
