The Fel Forge lay north of Hellfire Citadel. Farther north, on the plateau, stood the Throne of Kil'jaeden.
Only after taking out the Fel Forge could they attack the next target.
Anything with "furnace" in its name was either an actual furnace or an energy-gathering device like an arcane furnace.
But this Fel Forge combined both functions.
The Burning Legion's Eredar Demons Mage corrupted several volcanoes with fel, turning them into fel volcanoes.
The fel magma flowing from those Fel Volcanoes was a raw material containing impure fel.
It flowed into the enormous steel structures at the foot of the mountains.
The steel structures looked like old-fashioned furnaces.
These steel structures were the Fel Forge.
The fel purified by the Fel Forge supplied the Fel Cannons and the Burning Legion Portals.
It was also an armory in its own right.
It used fel magma to smelt ore and forge weapons.
It was effectively a self-sufficient small industrial base.
This model was much like that of Karazhan's Mage Tower.
However, Karazhan's Mage Tower was much larger than the Fel Forge.
After all, it was a legendary Mage Tower that Medivh, the human Guardian, had spent half his life tinkering with.
The tower's interior had been modified with spatial magic and could fit several skyscrapers inside!
If all of it were developed and put to use, it would possess tremendous production capacity.
If that ignorant layabout Medivh came back to life, he would certainly be astonished by his former property.
When he had first tinkered with the Mage Tower, he had been aiming to create the largest leisure venue in the Kingdom of Stormwind!
Now, all his grand hotels and theaters had become armories and magical workshops.
They provided all kinds of weapons and equipment to warriors resisting the forces of evil.
