While Herad was busy dealing with the Anubisath in the rear, the front lines encountered some particularly troublesome enemies.
Those troublesome enemies were Obsidian Destroyers, which shared the same origins as the Anubisath.
The Obsidian Destroyers were much shorter than the Anubisath.
They stood only four or five meters tall, with two arms and four legs, their forms rather similar to those of centaurs.
However, they wore incredibly ornate golden masks on their heads.
Their equine backs were also inlaid with golden ornaments and bore a pair of enormous wings.
Those enormous wings were not merely decorative.
Despite their obsidian bodies, these Obsidian Destroyers could fly.
A very weak levitation ability, combined with the beating of their enormous wings, was enough to get them airborne.
They could also fire Chaos Energy Missiles that combined several types of elemental energy.
They could fly and fire Chaos Energy Missiles, and most importantly, there were quite a few of them.
Although the magic-immune dragons had promptly moved in and held off most of the Obsidian Destroyers, that was not enough.
Those that remained still posed an immense threat to the ground units!
When Chaos Energy Missiles struck the fern treants, they inflicted highly randomized elemental energy damage.
As a result, fern treants that were hit were often frozen, scorched, petrified, or electrocuted.
The elemental damage unleashed by chaos energy was highly unstable.
It might release two types of elemental energy, or three or even four types simultaneously.
If the four types of elemental energy-frost, fire, lightning, and earth-erupted together, they would produce Elementals Annihilation, which annihilated everything.
However, the odds of all four types erupting simultaneously were lower than winning a hundred million in the lottery!
In actual combat, Elementals Annihilation practically never occurred.
Although the most terrifying Elementals Annihilation had not appeared,
