Orc corpses littered the ground.
There was no blood spilling everywhere, no flesh flying... yet, in silence, not a trace of life remained.
Medivh looked quite pleased, smiling at the Orc corpses strewn across the ground as though they were asleep...
Karin curled his lip... Looking at the bodies everywhere, he realized that during that earlier "accident" on the stairs, Medivh could have killed him as easily as crushing an ant...
But something had stayed his hand. It seemed Karin had been rather lucky.
"You aren't surprised by what these monsters are?" Medivh suddenly asked.
"No..." Karin could not help taking a deep breath before saying quietly, "I've seen them in a vision!"
"A vision?" Medivh frowned. "A vision in Karazhan? What exactly did you see?"
"I saw these half-human, half-beast monsters attacking Stormwind City, with a balding, white-haired old general commanding the human army's defense..." Karin said calmly.
"A balding, white-haired general? That must have been Anduin!" Medivh nodded. "And then?"
"I don't know!" Karin shook his head. "Then I heard a voice that seemed to be my own... so I forcibly stimulated my mental power and broke out of the vision. I don't know anything after that."
Medivh gave Karin a somewhat startled look, one that left Karin feeling rather unnerved...
"Very wise!" he said slowly.
Then Medivh stood there, frozen in a daze for a moment... There was no telling what he was thinking about.
Suddenly, he asked, "Where's your Gryphon?"
"It seems..." Karin said rather awkwardly, "it seems those Orcs scared it away!"
Medivh immediately propped himself up with his Staff... then suddenly burst out laughing.
He pointed at the golden Gryphon behind him. "Ride this one!"
"But you..."
Before Karin could finish, he saw the Astral Plane Mage before him turn into a giant raven...
