"Alterac!" Lothar could not help frowning when he saw where Karin was pointing.
Alterac did not directly border the South, but it was very close to the Arathi Highlands. With the Horde's disciplined armies advancing rapidly, it could very well be engulfed in the war soon...
Lothar had naturally considered this as well, but Alterac's terrain was extremely treacherous. Its vast mountain ranges were blanketed in snow. Even if the orc armies attacked, they would find it hard to withdraw unscathed!

"You mean?"
Karin nodded calmly.
Aiden Perenolde, the king of Alterac, was also an unstable factor!
It was not that the earlier humiliation had made Lothar hostile toward him. Rather, this seemingly shrewd yet extremely shortsighted king was simply too unreliable... Of course, with so many people present, neither Lothar nor Karin could speak too plainly.
"I will personally lead troops to Stromgarde to halt the Horde's advance!"
The Alliance commander's expression returned to calm as he issued orders to the assembled officers and soldiers.
"Genn, take a portion of the army back to Gilneas and rebuild the coastal defenses... Stay alert for any beach landings by the Horde navy!" Lothar paused before continuing, "Also, coordinate with Daelin's naval operations when necessary."
"Understood. As you command!" The king of Gilneas wore such a dark expression that it was hard to make out what was on his face.
"Uther, take another portion of the army to Aerie Peak and join forces with the Wildhammer Dwarves there. Stay alert for the Horde taking a detour through that area to launch a surprise attack on Lordaeron's heartland!"
"I will carry out your mission without fail, Lord Lothar!" the
