"Oh, I see." Ye Xunzhi tilted her head. "But I remember the person who usually brings my brother his medicine doesn't seem to be you."
She was doing this on purpose. She definitely suspected something already!
Just as Eileen was about to crack, Ye Xiao spoke up. "It usually isn't her. The head nurse had something come up, so she sent her to bring me my medicine."
Ye Xiao wiped his hands. When Ye Xunzhi had thrown herself at him earlier, she had spilled more than half the medicine, and quite a bit had run onto his hands.
"So that's what happened." Ye Xunzhi pulled out a tissue and handed it to him, then walked up to Eileen with an apologetic air:
"Sorry, I accidentally knocked over the medicine bowl. Could I trouble you to brew another bowl?"
"Of course." Eileen forced a strained smile beneath her mask. "I'll go help brew it right now."
With that, she turned and left.
Seeing that Ye Xunzhi made no move to follow, Eileen sighed in relief. Once she reached a less crowded spot, she began sprinting for her life.
