Convinced he had grasped the essence of keeping Shen Yu wrapped around his finger, Ji Cიცen arrived in the classroom early the next morning and made sure to leave the sweet milk buns he had prepared on the neighboring desk.
Shen Yu rushed into the classroom just in time as usual. Before he had even settled into his seat, the teacher came in behind him, startling him into slumping over his desk and panting, only for his arm to accidentally brush against a warm bag.
"Huh, whose is this?" Shen Yu turned his head in bewilderment. His gaze landed on the snowy-white buns, and he swallowed involuntarily.
"I brought them for you." Beside him, Ji Cიცen lowered his head slightly and explained earnestly before Shen Yu could refuse, "You look tired in class. Maybe you're low on energy. Have something sweet to get some nourishment."
Shen Yu had been about to say he had already eaten breakfast, but since Ji Cიცen said they were for nourishment, he furrowed his brows, found it hard to refuse, and could only give him a huge smile.
"Ji Cიცen, you really are such a good person."
Who knew who would get lucky enough to end up with such a considerate boy, one who brought his deskmate sweet treats?
Ji Cიცen seemed a little shy at the praise. He nodded without saying anything more and continued to "immerse" himself in his book.
Shen Yu was easily embarrassed around others. If Ji Cიცen had kept chatting, he would have felt uncomfortable instead; now that they were leaving each other in peace and Ji Cიცen was doing his own thing, Shen Yu immediately began enjoying his buns.
Sitting behind him, Shen Jin watched his older brother start eating the moment he sat down and was left speechless.
