Lucas had been away from home for some time now, and he was already nineteen. His body was close to breaking through to Level Six, and his battle qi had broken through to Level Seven after this experience. There were no longer any major obstacles in his path to becoming a Saint!
So Lucas decided to return to the tribe. Once there, he planned to keep swinging his great hammer, carefully exploring the use of heavy weapons and trying to comprehend Heavy as Light.
Lucas set off for home with his magical beast, the little bear Anton. Since his strength had clearly improved a great deal compared to when he had left, he encountered little trouble on the return journey.
As Lucas approached his tribe, he noticed that it was clearly different from when he had left. There were now people guarding the tribe's entrance. Seeing Lucas approach with a Level Six magical beast, a black bear, they hurriedly asked, "Who are you, and what business do you have with our Stans Tribe?"
Lucas called out to the warriors guarding the tribe, "Lucas Wood. Abuda Wood's son."
At that moment, a chubby young man stepped out and looked Lucas over. Then he ran straight over, grabbed Lucas, and said, "Boss, you're back!"
Lucas looked at the chubby young man before him in confusion and asked, equally puzzled, "Who are you?"
The young man immediately said, "Damn, boss, that hurts. It's me, Benny!"
"Uh," Lucas said, pointing at Benny. "I remember you didn't look like this when I left a few years ago. This is quite a change from before..."
Lucas clearly remembered that when he left, Benny had been a little sturdier than him and Eric. But he hadn't been this fat!
Benny naturally saw his boss's confusion and said, somewhat embarrassed, "The tribe's strength has improved pretty quickly these past few years, so our living conditions have improved a lot. I've been eating a bit more!"
Although Lucas didn't say it aloud, he sighed inwardly. While he had been risking his life training outside, this fellow had actually eaten himself fat. Clearly, he had neglected his training after Lucas left.
Benny also noticed the magical black bear beside Lucas at this point and asked directly, "Who's this?"
Pointing at the black bear, Lucas explained to Benny, "This is my magical beast sidekick, Anton!"
After the introductions, Benny happily told Lucas about the great changes the tribe had undergone over the years thanks to the battle qi Lucas had left behind.
Lucas returned home and saw his father playing with a little girl. When he heard Benny call out that Lucas was back, his father stood up and walked over, intending to pat his now-grown son on the shoulder. But when he saw the magical beast beside Lucas, about his own size, he instinctively jumped back and asked loudly, "What's going on here?"
Lucas explained to his father that this was his contracted magical beast and assured him that the bear would not hurt his family. Only then did his father come over again and introduce the little girl beside him to Lucas.
At that moment, Lucas's mother heard the voices and came out carrying a child. Through his family's introductions, Lucas learned that during the years he had been away, his father and mother had given him a younger sister and a younger brother.
While Lucas was catching up with his family and getting ready to eat, Benny found an opportunity to notify Windsor. Windsor ran straight in, then looked at Lucas and began to cry.
Looking at the young girl who had now grown up, Lucas walked over and held her. He stroked her head, while she said nothing and simply clung to him and cried.
After quite a while, Lucas's father, Abuda, coughed, interrupting the quiet scene of Windsor crying. Windsor wiped her tears away in embarrassment, took Lucas's hand, and asked, "Were you hurt?"
Lucas smiled and said, "How could I be?
"Your big brother Lucas is the strongest." Lucas's mother said, "All right, let's eat first."
Windsor stayed for lunch at Lucas's house. That afternoon, Eric and Benny came to the place where Lucas usually carved to see him. After giving them some brief guidance, Lucas politely declined their invitation to train together, saying that he wanted to spend more time with his family for a while!
After catching up briefly, Benny and Eric tactfully left, saying that they wouldn't interrupt their boss's time catching up with Windsor. Windsor immediately said fiercely to them, "You already have!"
The two left laughing, leaving only Lucas and Windsor there. Lucas told her in detail about his experiences and what he had seen during his years of training. She also told Lucas about the details of her own years and how she had missed him!
That night, just as Lucas was getting ready to sleep, he saw his mother walk in and asked, "Mother, is something the matter?"
Lucas's mother said, "Were you hurt this time?"
Lucas didn't want his family to know that he had encountered a Level Nine Magical Beast and faced mortal danger there, so he lied to his mother, saying directly, "No, I just ran into a little trouble."
Lucas's mother, Selina, came over and cradled his head. "My foolish boy, you can't fool your mother."
Lucas sighed inwardly. Although he had already possessed the memories of his previous life when he awoke at birth, he could now clearly sense how well his mother in this life understood him. So Lucas stopped lying and told her about some of the dangers he had encountered, explaining how he had run into a pack of wolves and killed them.
He also told his mother the story of how he had encountered the little black bear Anton's mother, and how that honey-stealing mother had landed him in trouble.
When his mother heard how Lucas had used meat to coax the little black bear Anton into leaving with him, she laughed too. Then she said with satisfaction, "That's my clever son."
The little black bear Anton had grown quite a bit over the years, and his mind had matured considerably. Learning for the first time that his boss had deliberately lured him away, he said aggrievedly to Lucas, "Boss, I always thought I'd chosen to follow you myself. I never knew you were so cunning, tricking the simple little bear Anton into leaving with you."
Lucas flicked his silly little head and said, "That was because you were too greedy. The sight of honey and roast meat had you drooling so much you couldn't even walk away."
Seeing Lucas suddenly strike his magical beast, his mother asked, "Why did you hit him?"
