It was close to noon when Masamichi Yaga finally walked out of the police station, followed by Satoru Gojo with an extremely displeased look and a large bump on his head, while Sherlock walked expressionlessly behind Satoru Gojo.
After the three of them had all left the gates of the police station, Masamichi Yaga let out a helpless sigh, turned to face Sherlock, and spoke to him.
"I am very sorry for causing you trouble."
"Hmph."
Hearing what Masamichi Yaga said to Sherlock, Satoru Gojo let out a very dissatisfied huff, and after receiving a threatening glare from Masamichi Yaga, he finally quieted down.
Meanwhile, Sherlock looked expressionlessly at the man in front of him who looked somewhat like a yakuza boss and the Dickhead Cat standing behind him with bad posture, and said somewhat helplessly.
"So, you guys aren't perverts, but rather a teacher and the principal of a school called Jujutsu High?"
"Hey, hey, hey, you could clearly see those guys who are ugly enough to make people feel uncomfortable, right? Plus you have a rather interesting cursed technique and that unimaginably vast cursed energy-are you telling me you didn't know Jujutsu Sorcerers exist?"
Faced with Sherlock's inquiry, the Dickhead Cat stood exceptionally disgruntled behind Masamichi Yaga and ranted at Sherlock, which further raised Masamichi Yaga's blood pressure a little bit.
After turning around to glare fiercely at Satoru Gojo and ignoring Satoru Gojo's rants, Masamichi Yaga then continued speaking to Sherlock.
"Yes. Gojo came to find you simply to invite you to enroll. Because it is his first time being a teacher, his methods may have been a bit too drastic, so please forgive him."
Unlike Satoru Gojo, Masamichi Yaga was quite reasonable; however, the reaction Sherlock gave after hearing Masamichi Yaga's words exceeded both of their expectations.
After listening to what Masamichi Yaga had to say, Sherlock pondered for quite a while, thought about it, and then said to Masamichi Yaga with a solemn expression.
"I'm sorry, I refuse! I don't want to become a damned Jujutsu Sorcerer at all, nor do I want to fight those damned things that just look like they'd drain your sanity to zero."
"Why? Clearly your cursed technique is very powerful, and your cursed energy volume is even greater than mine. What do you have to worry about?"
Upon hearing Sherlock's answer, Satoru Gojo looked in slight disbelief at the teenager in front of him who was less than five years younger than himself and asked him.
In his world, possessing power yet not wanting to use it or become stronger was simply an unimaginable thing, but as it happened, such an unimaginable thing had just occurred right before his eyes.
"No reason. I don't have a savior complex, nor do I have any sense of responsibility. My only dream is to steadily live a peaceful life like the protagonist of a galgame, and besides, those things are simply too ugly to the point of causing me physical discomfort."
Sherlock answered Satoru Gojo's question very calmly, but what he got in return was an extremely disgusted look from Satoru Gojo, who also gave Sherlock a thoroughly on-point comment.
"Perverted brat!"
"You're not that much older than me!"
Sherlock also ranted a bit angrily at Satoru Gojo, and even subconsciously raised a middle finger at him.
Looking at Sherlock's rebellious appearance, Satoru Gojo froze for a moment. Ever since he took over as the head of the Gojo Clan and became the strongest in Jujutsu Society, it had been a long time since anyone dared to treat him like this.
The last person who could be this relaxed in front of him was his runaway best friend, Suguru Geto.
"Interesting!"
Looking at Sherlock, who had finished flipping him off and intended to turn and leave, a look appeared on Satoru Gojo's face just like a kitten discovering a new toy, the corners of his mouth curving into a smile that carried unrestrained and even a trace of malice.
If he had previously only felt somewhat displeased with this teenager named Sherlock, then right now he was truly beginning to take an interest in Sherlock.
Watching Sherlock's retreating back, Satoru Gojo raised his cell phone and deliberately spoke in a very loud voice.
"Hello? Oh, right, cancel the subsequent meeting arrangements with Sensei Kimishima! Yeah, what? The best newcomer? Cancel it..."
Before he could even finish speaking, he saw the already departing Sherlock flash his figure, and in the next second, he appeared right in front of Satoru Gojo, dropping straight to his knees without another word.
"Adoptive father! Please carry me!"
Watching Sherlock kneel at his feet and tightly hug his thigh, the smile at the corners of Satoru Gojo's mouth grew even more brilliant, and his feigned voice grew a few decibels louder.
"Wait! Don't cancel it. Fine, right, arrange a bit more time. I'm bringing someone along, mm, right!"
After saying that, Satoru Gojo hung up the phone and looked at Sherlock with a half-smile. Sherlock reacted in an instant, immediately stood up, and cupped his fists in a bow toward Satoru Gojo.
"This one has drifted for half a lifetime without encountering a wise master; if you, sir, do not forsake me, this one is willing to take you as my adoptive father!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Hearing these words from Sherlock, Satoru Gojo laughed exceptionally arrogantly, and it even faintly seemed as though his nose was growing much longer.
The tall and the short pair completely failed to notice the black aura almost overflowing from Masamichi Yaga, who stood off to the side and witnessed the entire process.
What kind of damned nonsense were these two bastards openly blabbering about at the entrance of the police station?
Masamichi Yaga felt that his fists, known as 'righteous guidance,' were already starting to itch!
Yet merely a few breaths later, Masamichi Yaga let out a helpless sigh, and the fists he had clenched relaxed once more.
Ever since Suguru Geto's defection, he hadn't heard Satoru Gojo laugh like this in a very long time; whatever, he would just take it as doing this to let his student be happy for a while.
Yet even though he thought that, for some reason, watching Sherlock over there acting increasingly out of line and even starting to 'order dishes' with Satoru Gojo, Masamichi Yaga felt his blood pressure faintly showing signs of starting to climb.
How should he put it?
Judging by his experience bringing up Satoru Gojo, Masamichi Yaga didn't doubt for a second that when school started in April, Tokyo Jujutsu High would very likely welcome a student just as unreliable as Satoru Gojo.
Seriously, Satoru Gojo was already super unreliable back when he was a student, so who could have possibly expected this guy's very first disciple to actually surpass the master?
What's even more fucked up is that it's one thing for a new 'troublemaker' to show up, but the previous 'troublemaker' is actually this newly arrived 'troublemaker's' teacher?
For a moment, Masamichi Yaga felt that his position as principal was hanging by a thread, and even his heart began to ache faintly.
It seemed necessary for him to have Shoko help him check if he was about to get heart disease when he got back. Regardless of whether he got heart disease or not, Masamichi Yaga felt that he had better prepare some rapid-acting heart rescue pills just in case.
Come to think of it, he wondered if Shoko had actually passed her medical licensing exam yet, and whether she could write such a prescription...
