Background and History
Di Tian is a dragon who descended from the Divine Realm and spent hundreds of thousands of years bearing responsibility for the surviving soul beasts. Although publicly known as the Beast God, he initially serves the wounded Silver Dragon King, whom he recognizes as the true Co-Ruler. Her survival remains concealed beneath the Lake of Life 172 181 275.
His understanding of the Dragon God War is initially incomplete. He knows that the beast gods lost to the human gods and that soul beasts were subsequently barred from godhood, but not the full cause of the catastrophe. The Water Dragon King later asks Huo Yuhao to tell him the truth, believing that he has carried the burden of the aftermath long enough 124 180.
Before meeting Huo Yuhao, Di Tian defeats the Evil Emperor in a battle lasting three days and nights over Tian Meng. The Evil Emperor severely wounds him with Spiritual Power and attempts to destroy Star Dou through self-detonation after losing; the sleeping Silver Dragon King prevents the explosion 269.
Appearance
- Human form: An imposing countenance, golden eyes, and hair reaching his ankles 103 231.
- Dragon form: An enormous Golden-Eyed Black Dragon with wings large enough to blot out the sky 124 226.
- Combat features: Pitch-black scales can cover his body, and his eyes can narrow into vertical dragon pupils 110 189.
- Gu Tian disguise: Softer facial features, shoulder-length hair, and an ink-black robe give him the appearance of a refined scholar. His natural authority remains noticeable even when restrained 106.
- Disguised dragon manifestation: Presents a Silver-Eyed Black Dragon projection more than a hundred meters long, concealing his actual identity 110.
Personality
Di Tian is generally rational, patient, and protective. Rather than force Huo Yuhao to reveal his secrets, he chooses to observe him over time, recognizing that excessive pressure could undermine their relationship. His protection can nevertheless be uncompromising: he threatens to exterminate any Star Dou clan that harms Huo Yuhao 104 105 189.
His hopes for coexistence are pragmatic rather than idealistic. He does not expect humans and soul beasts to stop competing altogether; he supports Qi Theory because it could remove the survival-driven need to hunt soul beasts for soul rings, leaving resource competition instead of an unavoidable blood feud 181.
He can acknowledge wrongdoing without surrendering his dignity. When Tian Meng confronts him, Di Tian admits that Star Dou was wrong to absorb his energy and accepts a future duel. He also respects Tian Meng’s courage in confronting his former tormentors 189.
The Dragon Clan’s future exposes a more vulnerable side of him. He weeps upon seeing possible paths to its renewal, but the revelation that the Dragon God’s own choices caused its suffering leaves him exhausted and emotionally devastated 120 181 275 283.
Abilities & Skills
Dragon God Claw
A divine-level ability bestowed by the Dragon God and Di Tian’s decisive combat technique 183 223.

- His ability to perceive Dragon Clan bloodlines is second only to the Silver Dragon King’s 104.

Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores
Di Tian has already condensed Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores when Huo Yuhao discusses the tiers beyond Limit Douluo with Du Busi 183.
- His precise position among the higher cultivation tiers remains unknown to Huo Yuhao 183.
- His stated ability to defeat Du Busi and the Snow Empress together depends on using his full strength, including the Dragon God Claw 183.
Martial Insight
