The Snow Empress was born at the heart of the Far North’s core, where the world’s purest ice element condensed into life. According to the Ice Empress, she was the only Heavenly Snow Woman ever to exist. She grew up alone, without kin, in a region where resources were scarce and survival demanded constant struggle 17 62.

Her sovereignty was earned rather than inherited. Repeated life-and-death battles, including grievous injuries, established her position above the Far North’s Soul Beasts. The same upbringing shaped her cold, solitary disposition 62.

The Martial Ancestor’s intervention

More than two months before her first meeting with Huo Yuhao, the Martial Ancestor manifested above the Far North through an enormous hand covered in azure dragon scales. Its aura suppressed all Three Great Heavenly Kings, leaving them unable to resist. He entrusted the Ice and Snow Empresses with a message and a gift for Huo Yuhao 13.

The Martial Ancestor also showed the Snow Empress portions of a possible future and promised a way to condense Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores, avoiding the tragedy of capture after taking human form. Initially aloof and severe, the Snow Empress approaches rule as someone who survived the Far North’s harshness through strength. She generally leaves individual disputes between Soul Beasts alone unless they threaten large-scale bloodshed between clans 57 62.

Her coldness does not exclude tenderness. She supports the Ice Empress’s freedom to choose her own future, reassures her that the Far North will remain protected, and later comforts her when she struggles to find a cultivation path. Her recognition of life within ice and snow also softens the sharpness of her presence 15 63 166.

She combines fierce protectiveness with strategic restraint. After the Sun Moon Empire attacks the Far North, she nearly loses herself to anger but refuses to rush into a likely prepared counterattack. First Encounter with Huo Yuhao

The Snow Empress joins the Ice Empress in pursuing Tian Meng, intending to use his million-year essence to overcome their tribulations and strengthen the Far North. Huo Yuhao counters with Great Heavenly Thunder Sound, using Tian Meng’s spiritual reserves. The attack resonates with her Soul Core and seriously injures her 12 13.

Recognizing the Heavenly Scale Ancient Halberd, she identifies Huo Yuhao as the person named by the Martial Ancestor. Hostilities end, and she helps safeguard his Martial Soul fusion. After the Ice Empress chooses to accompany him, the Snow Empress declares him the Far North’s most honored guest 13 15.

Rescue and Recovery of Her Path

When Nightmare Douluo pursues Huo Yuhao across the Far North, she freezes the attacker and catches the exhausted Huo Yuhao. She then intervenes in the wider battle, subduing Xuanji Douluo and restraining Body Sect elders whose rescue attempts interfere with her control of the situation 60 61.

During the ensuing Soul Hunt, the Ice Empress shares Huo Yuhao’s insights into Desolate Ice. The Snow Empress perceives the Far North’s hidden vitality and recovers her own path. Because the snow lotus can no longer be given away as promised, she offers instead to fight beside Huo Yuhao against the Evil Emperor or even Di Tian 62 63.

Alliance and Life as Su Ji

Her agreement with Du Busi establishes cooperation between the Body Sect and the Far North. She selects a roughly 27,000-year-old Ice Crystal Phoenix for Su Tong, supervises the hunt, and retrieves its External Soul Bone afterward 96 97 98.

Traveling into human society as Su Ji, she accepts the honorary deanship of Di’ao Academy. Xue Heng grants her the Pure Heart Retreat and living expenses at a prince’s standard; she is not required to manage the academy 99.

Her encounter with human Soul Tools prompts her to investigate their use by Soul Beasts.
