"Captain, long time no see."
"All right, Kakashi. Are you really going to act like that with me?"
In the Third Battalion captain's office, Xia Yan sat at his desk, looking at the slightly stiff Kakashi, and could not help speaking with amusement.
Kakashi's current state was certainly interesting. Perhaps it was because Xia Yan had suddenly become a captain, while he was only a newcomer who had just joined the Anbu.
The gap in their positions had grown far too large, and the Anbu placed considerable emphasis on hierarchy. That was probably why he could not quite relax.
Two weeks had passed quickly. After Trout received Xia Yan's orders, he had immediately gone to headquarters to report what Xia Yan needed.
However, the Anbu had its own rules and framework, as well as a complete operating system. Even though Xia Yan's request was perfectly reasonable, the number of people he wanted was rather large.
On top of that, Kakashi belonged to another battalion, making his transfer relatively troublesome. As a result, he had only now come to report to Xia Yan.
Still, Xia Yan had not been idle while waiting for Kakashi to arrive.
After Trout's selection process, a total of sixteen young reservists had joined the Third Battalion.
The Senju Clan had also moved quickly, selecting four young people whom Xia Yan vaguely remembered to join. For the moment, his Third Battalion was more or less at full strength.
Thus, Xia Yan had directly broken up the original First and Sixth Squads, both of which had been fully staffed, and reorganized the squad assignments.
Xia Yan's idea was simple: have these experienced Anbu veterans lead the new members and help them quickly adapt to everything in the Anbu.
Meanwhile, he could wait for those recovering in the hospital
