"How come you're here?"
Xia Yan smiled at the people before him. His smile was exceptionally warm and easy, as gentle as the sun.
The people standing before him were all his old classmates, including Kakashi, Might Guy, and Kurenai.
He had always maintained good relationships with these old classmates. Even after joining the Anbu, he still kept in touch with them during his time off.
Of course, he had only recently established contact with Kakashi. After all, Kakashi was a genius who had chosen to graduate early.
Back then, Xia Yan really could not have acted the way Might Guy did. To put it nicely, it was devotion to a friend; less nicely, it was offering warmth only to get the cold shoulder.
But it was precisely because of Might Guy's persistence that, in the original story, after Kakashi lost Obito and Rin,
then lost his teacher and his teacher's wife, he still gradually came around.
That was just the kind of person Might Guy was. When it came to how he treated his friends, he rivaled Naruto, if not surpassed him.
What puzzled Xia Yan a little, though, was how they knew he was here.
And why had Uchiha Sora come along too?
At that thought, Xia Yan could not help looking at Kakashi, because Kakashi was very likely the only one who knew he was here.
His admission to Konoha Hospital had been kept very quiet. Even the people in his own clan probably knew little about it.
Kakashi was different, though. He had the Fourth Hokage backing him.
Sure enough, Kakashi said quietly, "I wanted to come see you. Since we'd been separated, Lord Hokage told me afterward. I just didn't expect to run into them on the way here."
"All right, I understand." Xia Yan
