The Abyss.
Miskatonic University.
The building that sustained the "Reason of Civilization" had gone dark, almost entirely extinguished, with only an ember-like afterglow lingering at its center.
A black shadow appeared, surveyed the building, then found its bearings and rushed inside, straight into the shattered university campus.
The students who had once studied here had all vanished, along with the destructive "Bugs." They had all become Random Aberrations, barely recognizable as anything resembling their former shapes.
Within this dislocated, shattered campus, space itself was discontinuous, like moving through separate broken mirrors. Without the ability to observe it from a special perspective, finding one's bearings was impossible, let alone locating the ruins of the Truth Library.
Yang Yi appeared in his bald Werewolf Form and used Three Eyes to lock onto his target: a head held in a crystal container, embedded in some kind of damaged device. Nearly three-quarters of its body was in a state of constant transformation, only a step away from becoming a Random Aberration completely.
Beside the container, whether by coincidence or luck, stood the statue of the Legendary graduate, "Yang God," that had once graced the campus. Although severely damaged, with almost nothing left but its base, it was still emitting the Light of Civilization, helping Yang Yi pinpoint Old Man Sun's location.
"Wake up, Old Man Sun. It's not time to sleep yet!
"The place We are heading to is a New World! Teachers will be in great demand there, so don't even think about retiring... If you don't say anything, We'll take that as a yes."
Yang Yi stood there for three seconds, but Old Man Sun said nothing. Taking his silence as agreement, he swallowed the entire container, device and all, and withdrew from the university as it teetered on the brink of
