While browsing the Chat Channel, Yang Yi saw photos of all sorts of bizarre fish.
These fat fish had flesh-colored tumors growing on them, large and small, with no consistency in where they grew or how many there were.
But no matter what kind of fish they were, none could escape mutation.
Some tumors would further develop openings that sucked in and expelled liquid, or tentacles, to help the fish consume White Seawater and move around.
No one complained about these disgusting photos or the Sanity they lost from seeing them.
Everyone was experiencing similar things and gradually adapting.
Yang Yi frowned slightly.
He could be sure that the fish slapping against the Nightmare Star's hull were probably these things.
They had not transformed gradually through the stages. Instead, the erosion of Delicious Cells had made them leap straight toward the fourth stage.
Splat!
An unusual sound came from inside the cabin, as though something soft had fallen onto the floor.
Yang Yi raised his hand and threw a dart, pinning the intruding grouper, half its body transformed into tentacles, to the floor.
The fish had jumped in, clearing the wooden basin and landing at the bottom of the cabin.
The dart did not kill it. A Bone Arm soon rushed over and seized it, leaving it barely able to move.
Then Yang Yi walked over with a large sack of sea salt over his shoulder, slit it open, and poured it over the fish.
The strange fish struggled wildly as sea salt covered its body. Before long, it withered and died.
Salt was exceptionally effective against these strange fish!
Yang Yi sprinkled sea salt evenly around the wooden basin, then put the sack of salt into the Charred Black Worm Ring and closed the eyepatch over his left eye.
