The rest of the memos were mostly experimental data and records. Yang Yi developed a headache less than fifteen minutes into reading them. He could not understand them at all, nor did he want to.
It felt like reading a tedious mathematical proof. Su Na might have read on with great interest, but Yang Yi did not have that kind of patience.
He only skimmed through them, then looked at this man's unfinished research. His Sanity began dropping, mainly because the material was so difficult to read that it left him agitated.
Feeling he had read enough, Yang Yi rose from the desk. Less than forty minutes had passed in total.
"Doctor, you've gotten up sooner this time than on any previous occasion. Is..."
A synthesized voice sounded overhead. This AI seemed to be monitoring and recording Yang Yi's behavior.
The next second, before the AI could finish, Yang Yi stretched and sat back down, continuing to make a show of reading and occasionally putting on an expression of deep concentration.
...Damn, I almost gave myself away.
Looks like I'll have to sit here a while longer. It'll be trouble if this AI gets suspicious.
Yang Yi continued reading.
Two hours passed.
Yang Yi read a load of jumbled data and looked through the man's recent research. His head felt ready to split, but at least he had gained something.

A system notification suddenly popped up.
The man seemed to be trying to develop a new potion using the peculiar structure of Undeath Disease, but Yang Yi had yet to figure out its purpose.
He scrolled straight to the bottom of the memos to check the appendices.
