Steam Island could reach a maximum speed of forty knots if they spared no expense in powering it with large quantities of Magic Stones, but the players on the island would feel a noticeable rocking motion.
The island was still heading toward the coordinates Yang Yi had provided, intending to rendezvous with the Shelter at the destination. It would probably be sailing through the Sea of No Light for a long time.
The island itself was brightly lit, with streetlights hung all around its perimeter. These were actually Medium Light Containers, purchased from other players at considerable expense. There were plenty more in the warehouse; they were essential for sailing through the Sea of No Light.
The port was even brighter. Quite a few players were fishing there, most of them Steam Island residents who had bought homes.
Fishing was what they did most in their spare time.
When they needed money, they ran errands and took shopping commissions. They were living fairly comfortably.
As Steam Island developed further, it would probably create more jobs. Only then would the island truly qualify as a home.
