A month quickly passed.

Yang Yi and his group had completely adapted to life in the Holy Capital. Apart from going a little overboard with a few things, they could now be considered fully integrated into the community. At least they no longer went around making trouble for others.

Su Na had even joined the church. She often followed the believers in and out of churches, praying convincingly. Rather than staying at one particular church, she kept changing where she worshipped, like a pilgrim visiting holy sites.

Xiaoji had become an idle angler. He spent most of his days fishing, frequently changing fishing spots.

In the Holy Capital, fishing underwater was possible too, but the catches were mostly the same old varieties: grouper, sea bass, pomfret, pufferfish, and so on. Compared with the sea outside, it lacked much of the excitement.

He often hung an Eyeball Drone at the end of his fishing line as bait and fished for hours at a time. He was a thoroughly unsuccessful angler, bringing back only one or two fish each time.

As for Cui Xiya...

After she became the boss of the Light Fairies in this area, Yang Yi assigned her another task.

She was to uproot all the flowers and plants in front of the house and replace them with the giant vegetables they had previously bought from the New World Fleet.

In Yang Yi's words: "It would be such a waste not to grow some vegetables on such a nice patch of land."

And so the garden became a vegetable patch, fertilized with a mash made from some gourmet matter, including crushed Delicious Jerky.

With something like that as fertilizer, even withered, dying plants could easily be revived. Whether they would grow into anything normal, however, was hard to say.
