"This gate is..."
Yang Yi stared blankly at the gate that had suddenly appeared.
About fifteen meters tall, it stood in midair, just like the Scorched Earth beneath his feet.
Merely looking at it made him feel a bone-piercing chill. Even surrounded by Blazing Fire, he could not escape it and froze in place.
The gate's material also looked familiar, seemingly much like that White Shard: pure white and opaque.
Patterns were carved into the gate, too, but they could not be deciphered because granular crystals covered them.
Now the gate slowly opened, and icy mist spilled out.
But these were actually crystals precipitating out of the atmosphere because the temperature was too low, not anything truly emerging from the gate.
If anything could be said to have done so, it was that the heat outside the gate had been plundered, causing the temperature around it to plunge instantly to minus one hundred degrees, then continue dropping below minus two hundred.
The icy mist spread rapidly and sank, shrouding the area around the gate in haze.
The nearby Fire Men, or Pilgrims, had their flames instantly extinguished upon touching the icy mist and froze in place, still holding their advancing poses.
The scorched-brown, cracked earth that had appeared beneath their feet also began returning to its original state after losing its heat, becoming covered in frost again.
"Su Na...!"
Yang Yi spotted the remaining half of the Holy Casket, which the Saintess had thrown over at the last moment, slowly drifting forward.
He was just about to go over when Reinhardt appeared beside him, grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, and said, "Go in and cool off!"
With that, Reinhardt carried Yang Yi toward the gate at an astonishing speed.
"I can..."
Yang Yi seemed to want to
