Lynnae’s Malformed Chimeras tried to force Yang Yi to retreat, but he transformed himself with the Thorn Crown and summoned his salt army. His forces battled the Spider Mother Remnant, and the chapter left the fight at a stalemate as Yang Yi sent a motorcycle-riding knight armed with heavy guns into battle.

After an accident involving the White Coffin froze the Laboratory, Istil began recalling something about the mysterious golden city inhabited by Collectors.

Shen Guanquan then revealed that the system had shown him a vision of Yang Yi turning against players and that Istil had prophesied Yang Yi would destroy it, but the messages vanished, prompting Yang Yi to warn Su Na and Istil about the system’s growing interference.

• Istil told Yang Yi and Su Na that the Abyss Scavenger had been created as the Collector to feed debris into a sea rift known as the Greedy Hoarder or Greedy Trader.
