"Gurgle, gurgle~"

Mountain winds whipped across Snow Cliff. Coal Ball crouched at the entrance, tilting his head at the great heroine in black, trying to remind her that it was time to feed him dinner.

Nangong Ye pricked up her ears, listening for movement in the deep tunnel. Obviously, she was not trying to eavesdrop on what her precious disciple and her boyfriend were doing; she was worried that the three had met with an accident underground, or that they were about to come out and she would need to hide quickly.

Bu Yuehua could have followed them openly, but because the Flirtatious Daoist Nun dared not come face-to-face with her disciple, she had been dragged into playing hide-and-seek behind them, leaving her thoroughly speechless. Clearly in no mood for such games now, she merely took Coal Ball's place, hiding on Snow Cliff to help keep watch.

Endless mountains lay beneath pristine snow. Not even a bird could be seen as far as the eye could reach, and Bu Yuehua had not expected to encounter anyone here.

But just as she was growing bored, she suddenly caught a tiny black dot beneath a towering snowy peak out of the corner of her eye.

?

Bu Yuehua immediately focused. Hidden in the shadows, she narrowed her eyes and watched from afar. A figure had appeared on the snowfield below and was examining the tracks left by the sword-wielding monster earlier. Then the figure drifted soundlessly toward Snow Cliff. She lowered her voice:

"Someone's coming."

"Hmm?"

Nangong Ye raised her eyes. Her angle had prevented her from seeing the figure. When Bu Yuehua slid silently down from above, she motioned for Coal Ball to stay calm, then descended quietly along Snow Cliff with her and hid in the shadows.

A moment later.
