Aside from something like Uchiha Jin's rule restricting the use of Space-Time Ninjutsu, other Mangekyō ocular techniques posed no threat to him.
And this was only a single Mangekyō eye.
Once he killed everyone here and replaced his other eye, he would finally be able to unleash the Mangekyō's true power.
